Fact is my initial request for a prescription for Fluoxetine was ignored. I believed his throwing up was anxiety related and guess what I believe I was correct. He's been on melatonin and has stopped the excessive grooming and more importantly stopped throwing up. Dr Myburgh disagreed with me and insisted it was something he ingested. Keeping in mind he did not review my cats chart to see that it had been over two weeks between visits where my cat did not throw up at all and would have known he was already on a prescription diet which Dr Myburgh suggested as an option on my second visit . He said cats don't throw up when stressed..really?? I do appreciate the refund but quite frankly under the circumstances a full refund should have been given.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Andrea Daniels for going on ten years, I followed her from her…read moreprevious vet clinic to WVAC when she opened it. I would honestly follow her anywhere. I have two rescue pups that have had many health issues over the years and have required some major surgeries and extensive vet care. I am also at the vet monthly for an injection for one of my dogs. I have never in ten years and countless vet visits had a negative experience. Dr. Daniels is very knowledgeable, professional and dedicated to all her patients. I without a doubt trust that she is always giving me and my dogs optimal, individualized and informed care that is best for them and our family. Marie at reception is always soo helpful and sweet any time we call or come in, it's always a joy to see her when we arrive. Selena is our absolute favorite tech, my dogs love her and she's great with my more fearful dog but every vet tech there is top notch, Angie and Katie are great. The staff is always kind, compassionate and going above and beyond for not just me but I see it for other patients while I'm there, since I am there a lot. I would and do recommended Dr. Daniels to anyone that asks and I will continue to see her for as long as I'm a pet parent and she's a veterinarian.

On Monday we purchased a golden retriever puppy that was 8 weeks old and cleared by this vet. The…read morenext night our puppy became lethargic and refused to eat. She began having severe diarrhea with blood in it, so we immediately brought her to our vet. After a simple test they determined that our puppy had two types of worms. Come to find out all 8 of the puppies that were cleared by the incompetent vet at South Trail Animal Hospital have the same condition and haven't been doing well. This joke of a doctor was beyond negligent and cleared all of these puppies to be sold by the breeder. Now he takes no responsibility for his negligence when he cleared them all the day they were picked up by their owners and they all had severe worms. If you care about your animal DO NOT bring it to this place! I wouldn't trust Dr. Dean Ebert with a feeder rat. Thank God, our puppy is finally doing better today after being cared for by a much more competent Veterinary office. Dr. Ebert is truly a disgrace!!!

Terrible experience at Myakka River Animal Clinic in Venice with Dr. Dawn Spokowski. What started…read moreas a simple wellness visit turned into one of the most uncomfortable vet experiences I've ever had. During the first visit, she came off cold but recommended a follow-up for my dog's anal glands. At that follow-up, my dog was clearly in distress during the procedure, I even offered to hold him to help, but wasn't allowed, and the assistant holding him got scratched by my screaming squealing very uncomfortable dog. Then I was hit with a surprise $28 "difficult dog" fee that was NEVER mentioned before--even though his behavior was the same at the first visit. When I later asked for help getting my dog seen sooner for a surgery she said should be done ASAP, I was met with sarcasm--she literally compared my question to asking Publix to recommend another store ... like where is the compassion?? It only got worse. When I called to cancel my dog's upcoming surgery, she responded "we figured that." When I asked what that meant, she refused. I told her she is rude and she told me "that's usually what people say can't handle the truth." I said "maam what truth couldn't I handle??" She gave no answer ‍. Final straw--when I said I'd leave a review, she made sure to mention she had photos of her employee's scratched arm, which felt more like intimidation than professionalism. Dr Dawn Spakowsi is rude, dismissive, and lacks basic care her own staff if you ask me.
