We didn't have an appointment, so because we were a walk-in for the first time, my husband had to give his ID and insurance card. Then, the receptionist said it would be about an hour wait since we had 4 people in front of us. We waited, and after about 20 minutes, he got his identification cards back and was told to look over all of the printed information and to sign the papers. Upon looking at the info, the receptionist put his phone number in incorrectly, and his birthday was 2 months off even though it was on his ID. My husband made the changes on the paper and told the lady that the info was wrong, and she said that his insurance said the birthday she put in the system... even though she had his ID with the correct birthday. This truly wasn't a big deal because it was a small mistake, but my eyes and ears were on alert throughout the whole visit because of this. Some other negative things I noticed: they quickly diagnosed my husband with tonsilitis even though he had no other symptoms other than small swollen lymph nodes and that they claimed his throat was a little red. They gave a prescription to him for antibiotics, but I thought that seemed crazy. He ended up not taking them and was fine in a couple of days. Next, he got his ears cleaned, and the male nurse randomly left us in the room with all the supplies in the room, which seemed extremely unprofessional and flat-out disgusting. Literally, the spray bottle was kept behind my husband where he was sitting, and the dirty waxy water was kept on the counter in front of us... No one should be trusting random patients in a room with dirty tools. They didn't even take the dirty paper off of him, and they didn't wipe his ears off or anything. It all seemed so gross. After the male nurse left, the female doctor came in and rushed us out and told him to use ear drops so that he could come back for a follow-up. She also left all the dirty supplies in the room, and my husband had to literally ask her if he could throw away the dirty paper left around his neck. The only positive was that everyone seemed nice and friendly. However, after they were rushing everything and came to random conclusions that could potentially make sense, it made me hesitant. We didn't even get a post-visit summary page or anything after. Overall, I'm not sure I'd come back, to be honest. I'm used to going to Amita Immediate Care facilities, and I've always had positive experiences where they'd clean after themselves and be honest with diagnoses.

Only downside for me is the cost of care for tests, or things not covered by insurance. (Check out alternative places, like Bright Light Imaging for CT Scans or imaging). The halls and main spaces are kept clean and in order. I especially appreciate the staff in the Breast Care Center. They are very caring individuals. I also find it is a perk to have a nice Starbuck's in the lobby here too, so you can treat yourself to a hot or iced beverage after an appointment. And, this is your reminder ladies (and men) to practice self care and get checked regularly each year. You matter! And this is a nice place to go when care is needed.

Despite this being visible in his chart, staff applied standard adhesive tape to his arm. When the bandage was later removed, it tore his skin open, leaving a wound that was still unhealed ten days later and caused him significant pain for several weeks. This was not an emergency situation. He was there for a head CT and was stable. There was no reason his allergy could not have been checked before tape was applied to his fragile, Prednisone-thinned skin. I filed a formal complaint and received a response acknowledging the issue and stating that staff had been educated on allergy documentation. An apology and a staff training do not undo the unnecessary pain this caused my father. Documented allergies exist for a reason. Patients and families should not have to fight to have them respected.

Plus they didn't get called back for another 10-15 minutes after I arrived so 45 minutes they waited! So that wasn't enough time apparently because they were over an hour behind! I had to reschedule and leave because I needed to get back for meetings. It was very important for me to have this appt today because I am trying to get all of this done before insurance resets in January. They rescheduled me to December 27th! What a joke. So if you value your time and care go somewhere else because they have regularly been 30+ minutes behind schedule. Tip: if you can't handle the client load, stop taking on more clients. Well they are very good at what they do. Without hesitation I was taken care of even if it meant walking in 20 minutes before they were due to close. I was visiting my parents who live out this way and didn't feel like an ER would be necessary, plus I didn't want the bill from an ER then to have to wait a long time to get looked at. The receptionist was professional and understanding. She helped me fill out the forms necessary. I was called immediately and was seen by the dr very quickly. He took X-rays and determined that my ankle was not broken. Thank god, I had a high sprain and gave me an ankle boot and said to keep my weight off of it for a couple days. I feel a lot better today ankle is still quite purple but the pain is not so bad anymore. Thank you for taking care of me quickly. I'll definitely consider coming back here if I ever need it. She explained that there were already people physically in line at the store at 7:00 am so she made the online "line" unavailable until 10:00 am. This should be stated on the website. If I had known that I would have gotten dressed and come at 7:00 this morning! This online sign up is seriously flawed. Not to mention, the way the nurse explained it was condescending and she lacked empathetic customer service. I'm not sick often so I don't know the ins and outs of getting a good place in line. CVS could do a much better job of explaining the process on the website.
