I think I went through 4-5 clinics in the area until I finally stumbled upon Bronson Sports. They were extremely welcoming and accomodating. Was able to be seen right away by Kevin. He was professional and very knowledgeful. Helped me out right away and I left feeling quite relieved. The whole facility looks amazing and I would definitely recommend anyone to see any of the specialist here. This will be my definite default place for all my health care visits now.

He is an extremely kind and caring doctor, with the surgical skills to back it up. He set the bar high for all the rest of the doctors to come in my life! Next up, Dr. Bowman. I had torn the meniscus in my knee many times, over many years, and finally we were able to get insurance (pre-existing condition, so thank you, Obama-care) and get it operated on. 7 years of extreme pain and limited mobility, taken care of with ONE single surgery. Dr. Bowman is very smart, and his mind is so agile that you can practically see it making connections during your time with him. He is thoughtful, and addressed all my concerns with patience and great suggestions. In all of my appointments, he has been kind, courteous, and most of all, a problem-solver. WOOT! I went back to him this week, years later, with more knee problems. He asked how I wanted to treat it, I concurred with Aggressively, and away we went. I appreciate a doctor who makes a treatment plan WITH me. Lastly, Dr. Jensen, who saw me for a broken toe. Yes, I dropped a cast iron pan on it...much blood and broken bone as a result. I was concerned because I have hardware in my ankle, and there are lifelong repercussions to that, namely, you need to be careful with wounds because of infection. Dr. Jensen was also kind (seems to be a theme here, thankfully), treated this somewhat minor injury with care, and was always on top of my concerns, as well as some I should have been aware of. Other great things? Fast xrays on site, spacious waiting room, NO loud tv (although there is one, playing sports, behind the elevator column), welcoming staff, courteous nurses, fast MyChart responses, and wide hallways, for those of us on crutches. If you've got a sports injury or a mobility injury (for those of us non-sporty people), HEAD HERE. You'll be glad you did. Note: surgeries are performed downtown, at Bronson Hospital.

It didn't fit well and caused bruising of her upper calf. The sports med tried to pad it but it still hurt her. We went to DeVos Pediatric Orthopedic Services. They provided a correct boot (not from DJO). We contacted DJO but they said it was outside the 14 day satisfaction period so we had to pay for the boot. Orthopedic Urgent Care uses DJO to bill for all equipment. Expect bills from DJO/Enovis and from SHMG. DJO is overpriced and in two experiences, neither were a good fit. This is our second issue with DJO equipment.

Let me start off By saying not one day have I ever walked in without the staff being the happiest imaginable. They are genuinely good people. They truly do care about there patients from beginning when you walk in to even after you leave. When I started going to novo I had horrible shoulder pain. Saw two other chiropractors prior and no one could figure out what was wrong with me. Within 15 mins of my first visit Dr.Bailey had figured out what my issue was. She came up with a plan and her plan worked amazing. I sit here three months later able to lift 120lb dumbbells when before I could only hit 85 pound dumbbells due to the pain. Words can't describe how happy I am with the help and guidance I received from dr. Bailey and all the staff who assisted and continue to assist along the way. I wouldn't ever consider going anywhere else. I could move an hour away and still would drive here due to the service and success I personally saw from this place.

I spent 45 minutes talking to "Doc", not getting much information about what they would do for me other than giving me a wedge for my shoe (which I can do myself). Then, I was asked if I could commit to 1.5hours 3 time per week for the next 7 weeks. I'm not sure how anyone with a job and family can do this... so of course I said no. He proceeded to tell me he couldn't help me, shook my hand and walked me out the door. Waste of time and money.

At the same time the reviews talking of condescension and dismissiveness in the office is accurate and really irritating. Remember, everyone, you are treating the WHOLE person not just an appendage. Had some pain in left hip area this year when I woke up one morning suddenly in a lot of pain and so went back there, though I emphasized to Swartz that it definitely felt like some muscle issue "feels like a tennis ball in my butt", doubted it had to actually do with the hip replacement. They took X-Ray and guess what they told me? "The hip replacement looks good." Couldn't figure it out. I asked for a referral to an osteo at another place who had done wonders (hands-on) for my friend. They did that referral. So I go to the other doctor (Dr. Madeline Ginn-Terpstra) and she feels my lower back and within 3 minutes says "your tailbone is rotated. I put it back." Instant pain relief. Problem solved. So I call Shoreline to have them put a copy of my xray on my patient portal -- I want to know if the xray view included my tailbone, and if so why in the hell didn't they see it? Why did I have to diagnose myself? Possible that area was not on xray and I didn't want to make accusations that were not true. It now has been two months and 4 phone calls and still there's no xray on my portal. And if xrays can't be put online for some unknown reason, at least a callback and offer to show in-house. Nothing. Dismissive. Like you're not important if it doesn't involve major surgery. They are well regarded and apparently do a bunch of biz with teenage athletes in the schools. More exciting than working with an old lady. Star rating has to do with this episode. I'd put surgeries at 4.5 stars.
