When I called the billing office, I was told the charges were correct, no explanation that made sense was given. I was then told someone would get back to me. Uh-huh. A week and a half later, I called again. The halfwit I spoke with put me on hold. After a lengthy pause while being treated to a recorded huckster's litany of self promotion, the halfwit returned and said, "Dr. Mullally said the charges are correct." Period. Again, no explanation that made any sense, except to insinuate that I was wrong and I should remember who is a DOCTOR! (DO, not MD, in case you were wondering.) Covid lockdown in IL in 2020 blocked…read moreall local physical therapy (hereafter 'PT') options so I've driven 100+ miles round trip 1x/week for the past 6 months to Crown Point. Dr. Art is phenomenal - he quickly, accurately diagnosed underlying cause of my shoulder pain, explained it and then prescribed a relatively simple PT cure - stretching & progressive strengthening exercises. It has produced amazing results - my shoulder pain is virtually gone and as an added bonus my upper arms look great! Next my wife strained her lower back 2 mos. ago so I brought her with. Dr. Art diagnosed and remedied her back pain. But much more importantly he convinced my wife she might be able to overcome her balance issues (resulting from suffering a stroke 17 yrs ago) & possibly eliminate her reliance on a cane if she undertook a PT exercise program (again stretching & progressive strengthening exercises). In 8 weeks she's made great progress so we're very optimistic! Finally Dr. Art's been considerate & flexible re our stingy insurance provider - since they won't cover our PT sessions we pay Dr. Art directly. Conversely, if you're having either of those problems please don't visit because it is beyond their realm of expertise. I brought my child here for the very first time for one of their listed conditions and was lectured during the visit. My child had an emergent event and our family doctor recommended a trip to the ER. After we were given a clean test result -- the doctor made assumptions instead of asking pertinent questions and accused me of misusing the healthcare system. Very shocking. Very disappointing and the very opposite of compassion.
