They…read more& the new Brock Cancer Center are located on the southeast corner of Virginia Beach Boulevard & Kempsville Road. Both share a large parking garage. Entrance with a traffic light is located both on Virginia Beach Boulevard, which the buildings face, & Kempsville Road. The location is also easily accessible from I-264. The handicapped parking is extremely convenient & plentiful at the Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center. The spaces face the entrance & continues around each side of the building. I've never had to park in the spaces that require a short walk. A covered circular drive thru is a convenient drop off point at the main entrance. No valet parking is available. I've had therapy at Sentara Hand Therapy & Sentara Therapy Center- Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. I've had MRI's at the Advanced Imaging Center. My Shoulder & Elbow Orthopedic Surgeon does outpatient surgery in the building. But my recent Elbow Surgery, although outpatient, was scheduled at the hospital itself. The practice requires anyone who has a Cardiologist to have surgery at the hospital, where emergency personnel are more easily accessible. My experience with both therapy & the MRIs has been excellent. The equipment & facility is state of the art in this excellent sparkling clean Medical Center. Technology is sophisticated, extending as far as doors being opened by a sensor activated by the wave of a palm. There are also hand sanitizer stations in plentiful supply in the building. That closed down a few years ago so I called Ghent location and asked if it was possible to get a copy from them. They told me they would keep my immunization copies in an envelope with my name on it at the front desk for 30 days - after that, they will shred it. I went to pick it up and upon entering was greeted by a sign that said I had to call the office. I called, was told to wait downstairs in the lobby as no patients were allowed up the stairs into the office unless specified to do so. A member of the team brought my documents, asked for ID to check it was me and I was on my way. Quick, helpful and no costs for the immunization copies. 022/2020

They gave her a new account # for every visit and no details of the services provided - just lump sum billing so you can't see they are charging $50 for a bag of ice. The multiple account numbers also makes billing very confusing. I truly believe I've paid more than what was billed as they don't seem to keep the payment credits straight with multiple accounts to credit. Basically, each hour of supervised exercise at CHKD Sports Med is much more than what the neurologist charged to evaluate her after the concussion! Their charges are excessive and beyond customary. And good luck figuring out their billing with the multiple account #'s. If you try to get help with the billing, you'll be on hold for an eternity because they are likely trying to figure out the billings of their other customers on the line - each having a different account # for every visit to this location. Never going back and I recommend you seek other PT services to avoid being fleeced by CHKD Sports Med!

She takes the time to listen to you, the patient about how you feel, questions you might have, your limitations, and how much your in pain. A graduate from Duke University and with experience of more than 25 years, you are definitely in good hands !!! Dr Sandra Glasson has worked with various Olympic Sports Teams such as the Women's Field Hockey team, Women's Basketball team, Women's Gold Medal Soccer team, as well as local teams such as various High Schools, Virginia Rush Soccer team, Elizabeth City State University basketball team, and Old Dominion University Wrestling team. After surgery Dr Sandra Glasson will go over and explain your pics of the surgery and show you the before and after pics, and show you any other findings if any that she saw. It is great to actually see what it looked like before and to see the work Dr. Glasson has done. Now the interesting part is that Physical Therapy with Quanita, Caroline, Mac, Jan, Gerald, and Meghan to name a few. Oh yes this great team that pushes you to better yourself and they rotate to bring you that good pain !!!!!! Initially I wasn't going to write a review but weeks after my appointment I'm just as appalled and…read moreconfused as when I first left my appointment. I waited a month to get an appointment and then after arrival I waited over an hour to see the doctor only to find that she could not have been more disinterested in understanding the problem or potential cause. She prescribed cortisone shots even though I made it clear that I had been managing the pain at home for the last 10+ years and wanted to know the root cause and treat that. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and asked again if the cortisone shots would treat the cause, not just the pain, and she said "oh, I don't know, maybe." I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say so I didn't push any further. Beyond that, her team must not have sent over the referral for the cortisone shots because I never received the call to schedule that they told me to expect.
