Even though I wasn't having any trouble I agreed to come in. She adjusted my neck and my lumbar region as usual. That particular day she used more force. My my husband was in the room with me and noticed the same thing. The next morning I woke up and couldn't walk. My feet and legs were in a lot pain and swollen. I called Joanne to explain the state I was in. She adamantly denied that it had anything to do with her treatment and to come in again. I of course said, I would never come in to see her again. I was clear to say that she was responsible. I called her a couple more times in the following weeks because I had not improved. She again denied that she had anything to do with it. For a year I barely could walk to the bathroom. I was in pain 24/7. It took about a year to find someone that could help me improve. It's going on three years now. Before Joanne injured my back, I was able to walk for an hour 3 to 4 times a week. The most I can walk now is 15 minutes. In addition, I had my neck x-rayed again and the cervical C - curve was actually worse after being treated by Joanne. I went online and found a forum talking about whiplash treatments. Many people had success with a traction device called posture pump. Within a month of using this device my upper body pain was reduced by 90% and my mobility increased considerably. I talked to Joanne about this and she said that she had the device in her office. I asked why she never told me about it. She said she didn't think think of it. Run a lot slower, and yup, tweak again, and then just sit around feeling sorry for yourself for getting old. Next thing you know, you can't break a 10 minute mile without fear of tweaking again. That's like a fast walk! So I spent a total of 15 minutes being stretched and poked a little. Not sure what happened really. Went downstairs and jogged for about two minutes and I felt fine. I asked how many more treatments I'd need. "Zero, I hope. You should be good to go." So I'm a week out and it's winter here so managed a couple treadmill sessions at the local Y. He was personable and knowlegeable . however after @15 min he gave my daughter exercises to do at home and stretched her for less than a minute. This cost 120 out of pocket.
