All five star reviews and I honestly don't think they capture just how crazy good this can be for so many former athletes and people in pain. I tore my hamstring and it's been a constant battle for the past decade. Run, tweak, rest, run a little slower, tweak, rest. Run a lot slower, and yup, tweak again, and then just sit around feeling sorry for yourself for getting old. Next thing you know, you can't break a 10 minute mile without fear of tweaking again. That's like a fast walk! So I spent a total of 15 minutes being stretched and poked a little. Not sure what happened really. Went downstairs and jogged for about two minutes and I felt fine. I asked how many more treatments I'd need. "Zero, I hope. You should be good to go." So I'm a week out and it's winter here so managed a couple treadmill sessions at the local Y. Didn't want to be greedy, but did some interval training at 8:30 pace and NADA. No tightness. No twinge. Nothing. Pain FREE! It's like voodoo magic. Will try to work my way up, but it's literally the most too good to be true, but it really is true moment I've experienced in a long time! I booked a last second massage for my sis and she loved it. ..Then I booked an ART appointment and a deep tissue for myself. Christina is amazing!! The price is insanely affordable and my back felt so much better after the ART session. In terms of the deep tissue, it was relaxing yet my achy muscles felt so much better after! Really great vibe and she knows what she is doing. I have consisting neck and upper shoulder pain along with hip pain. She found things, moved them around and I felt a drastic difference on the spot. I came to Christina hardly able to move. I had hurt my left shoulder and could hardly move my arm or neck. It had been a week of constant headaches, taking ibuprofen every 4 hours, trying to stretch it out, applying a heating pad, and it wasn't getting any better. I was frustrated and miserable. I called Christina and she suggested ART, and I was skeptical but it sounded like it could help so I gave it a try. ART involved Christina applying pressure to different parts of my shoulder and neck, and then moving my arms and stretching my neck in conjunction with this pressure. When I left, I still had some pain, but my headache was FINALLY gone and I felt a lot looser. She gave me a stretch to do every 15 minutes, which I obviously didn't really do every 15 minutes, but I did as often as I could remember. She told me that the release would keep happening throughout the day and I could expect to keep feeling better. The next day I felt about 70% back to my old self. I couldn't believe it. I kept stretching and applying heat. By the time I had my follow-up appointment (5 days after the initial appointment) I felt 95% better, just a little leftover pain in my neck during some motions. That follow up appointment was yesterday, and I feel amazing today. Time to get back to rock climbing and being active! I was a little intimidated by all the pictures of body builders and huge muscly dudes (I'm a scrawny lady) and the fact that it was in a weight lifting gym. But don't worry--you don't have to be a body builder to go here! Christina is very professional and friendly. I made an appointment with Christina for and ART session based on a recommendation from a gym friend. I've been working through a frozen shoulder as a result from a complete tear in my rotator cuff that required surgery. 8 months post surgery and 6 months of stretching and physical therapy exercises only got me so far. After 1 session with Christina I almost feel completely normal again. I don't understand the science behind this type of therapy but I do know that I can now put my hair in a ponytail and I'm nearly pain free. This is a great resource to have in the area and Christina is wonderful to work with. I am a 15+ year senior competitive ballroom dancer that had injured my left leg prior to having to compete at a large competition this weekend. I was concerned about being able to dance well with the injury especially since I was competing in numerous highly competitive heats. You don't have to suffer as much as you do. I've tried California acupuncture, acupressure, various massage and yogic treatments, western meds, and chiropractors for bodily injuries, aches, pains and strains. When I 1st looked up Rebalance it was only have KT Tape application for some pain associated with swimming work outs. Christina suggested A.R.T. so knowing nothing about it I looked it up and decided, why not. I have to say I had my doubts but Christina explained the history and practice of this therapy and I have to say I'm a believer now and have sent her website to others with chronic pain. As someone mentioned she's petite but has hands like vice grips and can really manipulate the affected areas and really understands what's going on with the muscles. Christina is a life saver. I came in with extreme back pain making it hard to breath and just general discomfort. Without pointing to where the pain was, she was able to locate it based on the symptoms I explained to her. I was going to the chiro and massage therapy but both were unsuccessful. After one session with Christina I was fixed. I didn't feel 100% right away and she explained that throughout the day it will start to feel better..I was skeptical at first but she was right.
