The food was good, and the service was okay, but the prices were outrageous. Most entrées started at $20, which was surprising for a small-town restaurant. The space felt cramped, and the appearance wasn't anything upscale. What really frustrated me was the menu options --there was no way to order an entrée by itself. In my city, I can get a chicken burrito without rice and beans for $6.50-$9, but that wasn't an option here. When we saw the menu prices, we exchanged glances, and were a bit shocked. Two of us ordered drinks (a soda for me), and we shared a single dessert. Even so, the bill came to nearly $100 for four entrées, two drinks, and one dessert. To top it off, one of us ended up sick and vomiting for the next 12 hours.

I was very very pleased with our experience. The staff was incredibly attentive, the complimentary chips and salsa were FRESH and HOT, and our meals were fantastic, fresh, and well flavored. Parking could be a bit dicey when it's busier and the inside was a bit warm but the booths are comfortable and the food is worth the visit!

I'll get the negitive items out of the way up front. The chile relleno spilled into the negative category of basically being an omelette with a cheese stuffed chili. Not a good thing that my date would recommend. The music was fuzzy. Making it more obnoxious then anything. I didn't know if the speakers need to be replaced or what. Now onto everything good. The golden Margaritas for excellent and strong, well worth $6.50. My tamale and tostada or flavorful. Most of the experience was great with the noted exceptions. Yes, we would come in again.

This is our favorite Mexican place! Not a single bell pepper used in any of their recipes! We come here often.

Needs more flavor in food. Ex. Enchilada sauce. But, very friendly service! I personally wouldn't eat there again...

Oh, we love this place…read more It's a small, local taco shop with all the standard Mexican fare. Usually, I'll come by here when I don't want fast food but don't want to cook. And I don't want to pay for a sit down restaurant. The staff are pretty consistent and know what they're doing. I usually get a carne asada burrito and my kids get bean burritos. We'll usually get a small quesadilla or two. And it's kind of hard to screw that up, so what can I say? However, the carne asada is consistently high-quality meat and not a lot of fat and gristle, which I run into more often with other taco shops in the Salem area. My favorite thing, though, is their hot chili oil that they prepare and serve on their salsa bar. They have the usual green (mild), red (hot), and orange (habanero hot) sauces on the side bar, along with the carrots. But they also have this lovely little jar of an unholy red liquid...I mean, this red is like the red from the boiling fiery pits of Hades itself, and when you stir it, aaaaaaaaaallllllllll the little seeds come floating up and start swirling around the thick, viscous oil of the bottle. I put a little in one of those tiny condiment cups, and a little more in a side-dish boat (they provide both...not sure how to describe the little shallow cardboard box.) I'll dip the quesadilla, very very gently, into the boat and enjoy the hell out of it. The cup I use to dribble a very little amount down the inside of the burrito, as only a little bit is necessary. The oil coats your tongue and mouth, bringing this incredibly flavorful fiery heat into your body. It's absolutely amazing, tastes incredible, and isn't hot just to be hot. It's hot with a purpose. It's hot with integrity. It's....just so good. I love hot things, as well. Indian food spice is a 5 for me. I make my tacos at home with ghost peppers and habaneros. So this is a good, good, good heat. But potent. Check this taco place out; it's pretty damn good.

The drive through was easy but the restaurant exterior could use a bit of a makeover…read more The cashier was very friendly. The food was okay, not wonderful, but in this quiet corner of Oregon, I am not expecting culinary perfection. I would likely not eat here again.
