MEO MYO is one of few restaurants in this town that provides a menu devoid of the usual fried fast food or burgers you will run into in most establishments in the area, and I was presently surprised as to how good the food was. I had the gumbo, and as one previous commenter mentioned, it's not NOLA but it's still the best gumbo I've had in the state of Illinois (outside of Chicago). Wasn't raised on the stuff but I went to undergrad in Mississippi so I like to think I can at least tell the difference between good and bad gumbo. Cornbread was also pretty good.
