I have been working with Silvia for over 10 years and when she moved from one company to another, I continued to have her handle my taxes. When I found out that she opened up her own practice, once again, I had no problem continuing to work with her. My new go to place to get my taxes done is called JAM Accounting! JAM Accounting is located in the city of Downey. It's at the intersection of 3rd and New St in a 4 story office building. There are medical/dental offices as well as accounting practices in the building. It is an older facility and the elevator moves at a snail's pace. You can park at parking structure across the street by the movie theater. Street parking is available but the structure is more secure. JAM Accounting is located on the 3rd floor, at the end of the hall. Push the button on the Ring Doorbell and they'll let you in. When you walk inside, you will be greeted by a friendly receptionist and you can have a seat while waiting to see Silvia. When you walk into Silvia's office, you'll see that it's very inviting. I probably could have stayed there a lot longer than I did because I was so comfortable. Silvia had already input some of my information because I sent my W-2 to her the day before. Once I gave her a copy of my previous year's taxes, she was able to take it from there. She asked all of the right questions so that we could make sure that I had all of my deductions in place. What I really like about working with Silvia is that she's so welcoming and professional. We always catch up and it's more than a business transaction. I feel at ease when I walk in and I know that she's very thorough with everything that she does. A lot of her previous clients followed her to the new location and we know that we will continue to be lifelong customers. read more
