Me and my sister went here and by far worst nails we have ever gotten. They also scammed us cause we are kids (both under 18). they were nice people but terrible at nails. They charged us $150 without tip. We got full sets and the paint job was terrible, they didn't cut our cuticles and more. They started coming off after 2 weeks. I would not recommend this place. read more

I have been going to this salon for close to a year and have left. Too many "up charges" for different polish for nails and toes. I have been "Ten dollar more"-ed too many times. The management changed and in my opinion has declined. The older gal there seems to be told what to do by the younger lady. I give up. I'm going to a different nail salon. Jenny is not welcoming . Very rude . There was not a welcoming hello, I finally said hello to her as she was dusting some thing ,she looked up and rudely said hi. I had a morning appointment with a friend and the two technicians were late they had not opened yet at 10 AM. That was not a problem for us . The problem was how unfriendly she was when I said good morning. You could just feel the tension in the air. I made a comment to my friend that she was rude and she must've got up on the wrong side of the bed. The technician Jenny looked at me and said why did you say that? I said because you seemed a bit rude you never even said hello I had to say good morning you looked up at me and said hi and kept dusting . I had a pedicure which was good except the next day one of the toes started chipping already. When she finished my full set of acrylic nails the acrylic crusted above my cuticle area she was trying to take it off with a nipper. Who does that? When she got all done I looked at my nails and they were totally crusted above the cuticle area I said do you have any oil? She rudely squirted a huge blob of Hand lotion on my hand. It was an inconvenience to her. There was so much I had to go towel it off. The crustiness was still all over my fingers above the nail. I said "what is this I've never had anything like this before"Their response was it will come off after you wash your hands a few times. I said this is never happened in all the years I've had my nails done. She's very rudely said "I said it will come off after you wash your hands a few times" So when we left and went for lunch I had to go with my fingers looking like that it was very ugly. It finally did come off after about five or six washings when I got home and scrubbing. I had a beauty salon I am very aware. About customer service. I'm also very aware if you have a bad day, but you do not take it to work with you. If you have to go to work you have to buck up and be kind. Normally I am a very good tipper. But her attitude and the unkept job she did on my nails cost her a better tip. In the last couple years with Covid I'm aware how hard it is for businesses I do not give bad reviews I usually call the manager. But I am now tired of people being rude since Covid and I'm not gonna put up with it. I'm also tired of bad service and a job that is not done well. Especially when you pay $95 for nails. Plus a tip. NOT WALK IN FRIENDLY. I have been to this place once before, just for a basic pedicure. The job they did was mediocre at best, but I thought I'd give them one more chance. I was a walk in in at noon on a Wednesday. They had 2 techs working on others. I asked if they could get me in. Her words "It will be at least 20 minutes. I DONT HAVE TIME FOR YOU RIGHT NOW." Didn't offer me a chair to let my feet soak, or a bottle of water, nothing. So I sat down to patiently wait, and 5 minutes later another person came in, said she needed a manicure, and they seated her right away. I promptly walked out. Will not be back. I've been going to see Jenny at JA Nails for a few months now, and she is by far one of the best nail tech's I have ever had the pleasure of seeing! She is fast, precise, careful, and very talented! I lived in Southern California for years and now that I am in Minnesota, I will not be seeing anyone else around the twin cities and surrounding areas for my nails besides Jenny! I would highly recommend JA nails and all of my friends who have gone to her are very impressed. 10/10. read more

This was my first time there and I won't be going back. Jenny did my nails and did a very poor job. I have been getting my nails done for over 30 years so I have a little experience. When she filed them down we agreed on the length and they ended up way shorter. I told her I like the shape they were when I came in. She didn't even come close to the same shape. I had the gel polish put on and now less than a week later my polish is coming off. I have never had that problem. I think that there prices are to high especially with the poor job she did. DO NOT GO HERE! I went to get simple acrylic gel nails and the lady who did them was very rude, she was on her phone talking to a friend the whole time, I felt rushed to pick what I wanted and when I stepped up to say I didn't like something that was an easy fix she looked at me and glared, I would also like to point out that my nails hurt for 3 days after I felt a constant burning that was EXTREMELY painful i would like to note that this is not my first time getting my nails done i like to switch up my nail salons and see the hidden gems that you come along once in a while but this was not a gem. If I could give this place a 0 I would. I went there for the first time with a friend of mine. Our appointment was at 1 and I was getting a mani and pedi and she was getting just a mani. She got called first to get a mani which I didn't get cause wouldnt you want to get me done first so we aren't there forever. We didn't get our nails started until 1:30 waited for 30 minutes. Then didn't get out of there until 3:30. The man doing my nails took forever painting and didn't even get my whole nail. My polish is already peeling off just after 3 days and on top of that he spilt water all over the floor and my feet. I had to show him multiple times where my nail polish wasn't there and then he forgot top coat on some of my nails. Worst $85 I ever spent. What a waste of money. read more

Third time at JA Nails and Jenny doing my nails. She is awesome! First time I was there she corrected some of my nails that weren't done right at my previous salon. I appreciated that a lot! Hot and Cold! I went there several times and never knew which Jenny I was going to get! Crabby, Crabby Crabby!!! When my powder chipped shortly after I had them done, I went in to have it fixed and was told to "sit down!" Don't want to talk about it just fix it. They always ask for cash when I want to use my card. "Can you go get cash??" If I wanted to do that, I'd have stopped before I came in. I chose to leave and go to Chisago Nails down the road instead. They were super pleasant and have done a much better job over the last year. read more

I can't believe how rude the lady is here. I walk in with my daughter to get a pedicure and my daughter get her nails painted. First off, she rudely said "it will be 20 minutes". Secondly she asked me if I had cash to pay and explained that her credit card machine was down". I asked if I could write a check as I was simply trying to find a solution to pay for my services and she again RUDELY proclaims "I don't know you!!!" Never in my mind would I think that it's ok to be so rude to someone paying for an optional service. I will never be back. Plus the prices are higher then the other nail salons I frequent. I shared on my Facebook page the horrible experience I had and MANY local friends had similar stories....BAD EXPERIENCES. The owner argued on my Facebook page with every single person that said they had a bad experience. She really showed her true colors. This woman's attitude made a mom/daughter date not a great experience. Shame on you for treating people like shit! Good luck staying open if you keep treating customers like this...... I had a fill recently here for the first time. I was happy with my nails and gave a very generous tip, however the polish peeled a little over a week later. I called and a very nice lady told me she would fix them the next day. When I went in the next day a younger lady working said she knew nothing about my call and did not have time. I set up an appointment to come in the next day, the younger lady was there and treated me very disrespectful, questioning me when I had my nails done, even looking back on the video surveillance to see if I was telling the truth.
