Reason for selecting Felix's painting: I got couple walls to paint in my house and I got quotes…read morefrom multiple contractors. I selected Felix because of the details of the quote that includes the prep work, paint used, number of coats applied and the warranty. They are also licensed and insured. That saves a lot of back and forth questions and answers between me and the contractor. Prep work & On time: Once I paid the deposit, the job was scheduled within 2 weeks (during Christmas/New Year season). The painters were polite and arrived on time. They are thorough with the prep work. The job was done in a bit over two days. Follow up: After the paint was done and final payment made, we noticed there were some touch up work needed. They provided update every day on when the painter could come and they came on time within couple days. Whereas I do have experience with other contractors when I could not find them for couple months to finish last 5% of the job. Headache free experience (project completed through text): They are impressive, reliable, the whole job was completed without a single phone call (only through text and online payment). Highly recommended if you want headache free painting experience.

This is a problem, because: 1. Each time I emailed, a different person answered. Probably 20 emails over 1 week were arranged before I could get a quote and schedule cleaning. Because emails would usually arrive late at night or around 2-4AM, I guessed the emailers were located outside of the US. 2. Phone calls are not effective. Email info could easily have been conveyed in a 5-minute phone call, but when I called, the representative didn't know anything about scheduling. 3. A third-party cleaner comes to your house. This means there isn't consistency in quality. The cleaners complained that there was too much work and that it would take a 2-person team 4 hours to do the work (clean 1.5 bathrooms, put about less than 10 dishes in the dishwasher). One worker did dishes only during this time (at $40/hr, that's about $4/dish). The other cleaned the bathrooms. And of course they finished in less than 1 hour. 4. Communication with the third-party cleaner was poor. After all the time I spent emailing about what would be included, none of the details they asked about were conveyed. This was part of the time I paid for, because 1 worker called their supervisor to try to get out of doing the work.

We have used J & J Final Coat Painting for all our painting needs since 2005. They have completed multiple jobs: the exterior of the house twice, new and existing fences front and back and patio furniture pressure washed and stained, patio roof and outside game room walls, interior of entire house, and tune up of cabinets, stair railings and furniture. Their work has been excellent each and every time. Joe provides the quotes and conducts periodic inspections during the job and his suggestions were invaluable regarding colors and accents. He and Jill are always accessible, keep us informed of schedule and any changes or delays, and willing to go above and beyond for customer satisfaction. The crews are great. We've had a lot of remodel and construction work done and this is not always the case. The J & J crew is always on time, introduce themselves and let us know who the on-site manager is, all are knowledgeable, personable and approachable, work their full day and beyond as necessary, and let us know when they are leaving and what we should expect the next day. I happily give J and J Final Coat Painting a well deserved five star rating. I recently had the interior of our two story home painted and my husband and I are pleased beyond belief. We realized we needed the interior painted some time ago. After visiting a family member with a newly purchased home one weekend we were in awe of the interior paint work that was done above all other attributes of the lovely home. We told each other we would never be able to find a painting contractor that could compare. We said we would just have to except that. My husband wanted to find a Diamond Certified company so we could have a better chance of a good result. After getting several other bids from other certified companies we chose J and J because of the very reasonable bid price. We requested to have a bead at the ceiling which is a difficult job. While gathering quotes to have the exterior of our house painted our friends referred us to J & J's Final Coat Painting. Going by word-of-mouth referrals has worked for us in the past so when the quote from Joe came right in the middle of our other quotes it was a no brainer to accept his bid. The work was done exactly as Joe said it would be done in a timely manner, which included some additional dry rot repair, re-staining two deck areas and painting railing around the deck areas. The crew was great and easy to work with. They arrived when they said they would and kept us updated along the way. When the job was complete you would not even know anyone had been there other than a beautiful newly painted house. We are very happy with the quality of the work. Joe and his team have been great to work with from planning a few months in advance to coming back for the proper touch up and corrections. With existing cabinets I expected some hiccups along the process. First I admit there were NONE. The final review of the work showed a few areas of concern. Joe came out immediately and brought Rick (great young professional) and they made the decision to respray some of the fronts which were in question. Yes, it is a bit inconvenient but they are coming through with corrections! You can't ask for anything more when working with a contractor. In addition to this, they were timely, communicated well during the work and followed up with me any time I had a question or concern. Thumbs up to a great team at J & J Final Coat Painting. This past month, I noticed some some white stain coming from my chimney. Called final coat, which painted the house 3 years ago. Owner looked at stain, said it was ashes from previously done chimney work. Owner said no problem, sent one of his painters out 2 weeks later, and painted the outside of chimney at no cost! Have used these guys for the last 20 years. They spend as much time caulking as painting. After watching them, I know my house is being sealed with caulk and then spending the time to put on one coat and the next day another. I will continue to use these guys. read more

My entire experience with J&J was first rate. I had experienced major plumbing repairs and had 19 holes in my walls and ceiling. He put anti-oxidant paint on a door that was rusting a bit, and also did a bunch of consulting to help us understand our true painting needs (the large majority of our house did not require paint, and Sergio explained exactly why). Other painters would have quoted us a much higher price and would have delivered a lesser quality job. I VERY HIGHLY recommend Sergio. Thanks!!

We used them for internal and external paint jobs for our entire house and both came out fantastic. We were prepping to sell the property (mobile home) and it got an offer from the first person who saw it! I don't have any pictures of the outside of the house but posting the inside ones I have.

After…read moregetting bids from three different contractors, I chose Diablo Valley Painting because the gentleman who came out to give us a quote (Roliberto) was extremely knowledgeable and informative in describing how they will perform the work, the teams capabilities, the application of paint & primer, how cracks will be repaired so they won't come back, etc. I'm so glad we hired them! They did a spectacular job on everything, from the ceilings and walls to the doors and trim-- they turned our 1960's era fixer upper into a beautiful dream home! Roliberto was on site every day, kept me informed throughout the process, and was very flexible to minor last minute changes. The crew showed up on time, took considerable care of our house and personal belongings, and tidied up after themselves after each day. Most importantly, they did a beautiful job on painting the entire interior of our home. They even did small things outside of the scope of work (without me asking), such as fixing a faulty bathroom cabinet door and offering to install new hardware I purchased on interior doors at no cost. Diablo Valley Painting is not just another paint company. Roliberto, Bill, and the rest of the team take true pride in their work, and it shows. Their attention to detail and overall workmanship is unmatched. They are true professionals in every sense of the word. Not only did David arrange to have the painting contractor Beto here with a second story ladder, it all came together on short notice. By the end of the week, my vents looked like new, and I was amazed how efficiently Paintmasters handled the coordination. From contact to payment in two days. A handyman might have cost less, but knowing my contractor was insured made what PM charged a good value, imo.
