    Bacon Cheeseburger

Excellent food, fairly priced but understand this is an older establishment that prides itself on the food not its appearance. Staff is very friendly and service was fast.

The food was amazing. I was thinking "it's just a burger" but I would absolutely order from here again. First, the burgers are HUGE. Second, they are so tasty! I don't know what makes the difference but my mushroom Swiss was so good. The fries were hot and crisp (a great side effect of them being so busy). The staff were friendly and loud and fun. Warning, if they hear you are a first timer, they WILL make an announcement about it and blow an airhorn! Now, this place is busy, it's first come first served on the seats. So you are elbow to elbow with strangers. There are ash trays on the tables (i didn't see anyone smoke), and a dog bed under one of the tables. But you can always do a pickup order. Also, there's currently construction (as of 4/31), so keep that in mind if you visit any time soon.

A coworker and I made a first time visit for lunch yesterday after hearing about it for a good while. Right behind the new hospital. We even got the first time visitor fog horn. The jalapeño bacon cheeseburger with fries was outstanding. The taste of the burger was amazing. You will not leave hungry. Super friendly people. Highly recommend.

It's an experience. It's a small space for how many people are packed in there and how the fact smoking is allowed is so unappetizing. The people were friendly. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and my son got a cheeseburger and fries. It took quite a while to get our food, but it was peak lunch hour. My sandwich was good except the fact it had an unbelievable amount of mayo on both buns and I had to scrape it off. My son said his burger was fine & he liked the fries a lot. Definitely a large burger. If you want an experience of a local, country dive that feels like the 60s, you'll love this.

Total dive and an awesome spot for a great burger. We got cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings, chicken fries and wings. Loved the burgers and onion rings a lot and great prices. The wings were decent but the burgers were the star of the show. Only drawback was there's smoking inside so not great for little kids but the food is worth it. Felt like we were stepping back in time eating in here with the store and diner counters for seating. Great local spot

I've been hearing about this place for years but just recently made my way over there. The hype about the burgers is legit. This is one of the best burgers I've ever had. The service is great and includes a unique welcome for first timers. The store is a throw back to the old school country stores with plenty of memorabilia on the walls. Definitely worth the short drive to McCalla.

It was about 30 minutes away from my house so I was indecisive if if I wanted to drive that far for food. This place is located in like a mini mall there weren't many cars out in the parking lot and they really weren't that many people inside. But you could tell there's regulars there because when we walked in they were like we don't recognize them lol It is not table service you order at the cash register what we used to call it. They do not have Coke products. They only have Pepsi so I ended up just getting a water. My son got a sweet tea that he liked. He started off with a beer, cheese dip, and that came with pita bread and chips. The server threw some toast and that was really good too. I ordered a cup of the French onion soup and it was delicious. I also ordered the Quattro (Four) cheese flatbread. My son ended up getting the spark burger with mac & cheese. He was dazzled by the burger, but not so much the mac & cheese. I ordered a water. He ordered a sweet tea. I had to ask for a refill for him and I never got a refill for my water. They really weren't a lot of people there so it wouldn't be hard to refill drinks. There is a bar there with a bartender it might be better to sit there so you can get more attention It was definitely a 70s 80s theme in there. In the bathroom, they had a cassette box with real cassettes in there. I really did like the decor. And they do have several TVs in there to watch sports. I'm not sure if I'll be back or not

We were greeted promptly and took a few minutes to look at the menu. I LOVE roast beef, so it peaked my interest. My wife chose the Smiley burger. We placed our order and grabbed a seat. Place was quiet even though it was probably 75% full for lunch. Roast beef was served hot in toasted sour dough. Cheddar, tomato, lettuce and horseradish topped the generous portion of roast beef. Bread was crisp and the beef was hot and juicy. Horseradish gave a nice tangy flavor. My wife's Smiley burger was hand patted. Juicy and perfectly cooked. Bun was soft inside and nicely toasted in the outside. Bread and butter pickles, onion, tomato and lettuce topped it off. But the star of the show were the fries cooked in beef tallow!! Hot and salty, crispy and a deep flavor. I would come back just for the fries. Although a little bit pricey for lunch, it was excellent! Staff were friendly and attentive! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back! Thanks for an awesome lunch and excellent experience!
