It was and for good reason- it's the sister store of a home decor shop in Tawas City that I remember shopping last summer. That store was super cute and kinda eclectic and so was this one. The store just opened in April and is very much like the shop up north. They mirror each other pretty well, from layout and service to selection and price point. Customer service was nice and attentive and the stock was ample, showcasing plenty of "farmhouse chic" type of decor- candles, vases, furniture, clocks, artwork, signage, etc, much of it in a rustic, upcycled motif. The prices are kinda on the high end for even simple items, but the furniture was pretty reasonably priced. Some of the pieces are pretty garden variety and nothing that unique or that you can't get at Target for much less, but other items (larger pieces) are rather interesting and worth a real look. Overall, a nice store with great service and a mid-range price point for the most part.

Our visit was on a cold rainy Sunday afternoon, but walking in, it's warm and inviting. So much to see, full of beautiful tasteful seasonal decorating ideas. I found a metal tiered tray that I have wanted forever! Reasonable prices and local. Love love love supporting local shops. Great items that would make good gifts for the holiday or housewarming parties. Their Facebook page lists their sales and events. I'm looking forward to when Susan changes over to Christmas decor. My FAVORITE farm store in the area! I stop in at least 2x a week to pick up…read morefeed/bedding/supplements/you name it. Running a farm is hard work but having this store down the road makes life easy. The staff is always so pleasant and my kiddo and I just love stopping in sometimes just to see the bunnies!!!! This week is the start of chick season so you know we will be stopping in more often to say hello to the tiny little ones and start making a list of babies we want in April.

Posting this for those who want to make sure you are going to a safe store during the covid…read moreoutbreak . This is not one of those safe stores. All employees I had seen were not wearing masks. There was no sneeze guard on any of the registers which puts you within two feet of an unmasked person. there was nothing to wipe carts with and no one was wiping them between employees. Apparently this is a popular place to go is you are not masked because customers were unmasked and several of them coughing . the store had many people in it and not many of them were social distancing and there was absolutely no advisement on the door or a sign that said to keep distance. Whole family with kids were in the store as well which is not necessary . I called the HQ and they told me they should be wearing masks or working register with a guard. but of course this is not true. Sad and disappointed that this store does not care about the heath of their customers to take full precautions.. They could not even take the smallest precaution of wearing masks. Oh and if you want to clean your hands in the store go to the chickens. apparently whatever disease you get from chickens is way more deadly since that is where thy chose to put hand sanitizer
