Owner is super rude. He was parked around a blind turn. I called to express my concern. He said "oh well do I have my hazards on. If everyone goes the speed limit they should be fine". I told him it's a blind turn no one can see. Someone should be directing traffic. He said it's not his problem. Also mentioned that he was pumping the cesspool. He is full of crap like his truck. Nothing was hooked up. He was sitting in the yard talking story while he was parked facing on coming traffic on a blind turn with no safety concerns. If I could give 10 stars I would. We are new to the septic system and needed to establish services. We attempted to set up services with another vendor. Long story short after several weeks and a no show no call on their part we went on the hunt for a new company so we called J&M. We received a return call the SAME DAY. WOW!!! Could it get any better? They set up services for the very next day. WHAT??? Scheduled time was between 8 - 10 and I got a call at 7:45 asking if it was too early. FLOORED!!! This one star rating has come over a 16 month period of time. We first made contact with John when we called him out to do an inspection of our septic system before we closed on our home. Prior to me calling him, my realtor attempted to contact him for information on the home's septic system since he was the last to service it. His response was "I'm not giving out free information" so I thought I would call him and see what he had to offer. He Offered his inspection package which would be a full inspection of the system. We made an appointment and he showed up well before the time and said he had completed the inspection and everything is working perfect and we didn't need to worry about anything as long as we used his $200 bacteria packs that last 12 months . Me being unfamiliar and uneducated about septic belived and trusted him. Fast forward a few months later we need to call John to resupply our stock of bacteria packs. The previous owner had left a few behind that they also had purchased from him. He politely and promptly offered to deliver them to our house and like last time he would prefer cash. So we paid our $200 to him even though I was sure I seen the same product on Amazon for $20. But I belived him that his we're the good ones. It's so sadly obvious he buys and relabels it. I'm kicking myself for believing this pos. So a few months later we believe our septic is full and we call him out. At this point it's been a little over a year since we moved in. He again had no problem showing up well before his appointment. When my family member arrived home he said he was done. We again paid him cash and he was on his way. Two months later our septic is full again, at this point I was upset with my self for not checking if he emptied it. But I was positive that he was full of it and not to be trusted. I started looking him up and then seen similar reviews on yelp. I should have looked him up from the get go and would of never had to pay him money to do nothing. I found a honest hard working company that figured out that this guy had never pumped the solid side of the septic, probably ever. We also confirmed that we're just one of many people he's done this too. They've heard numbers up to $400-$500 for his ripoff bacteria packs. He also only every pumps the wet side and never touches the solid side. Anyways this guy will most definitely go out of business one day and it's truly sad to see poor and dishonest business practices like this. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! Showed up late an hour late and because of it, I was late to my dentist appointment. He didn't even apologize which I thought was pretty rude. Look at the other reviews and watch out because it was a half a** job. I had to hire another company instead and the price that John charged me was ridiculous. The quote he gave me was very reasonable which is why I decided to go with him at first. I was shocked to find out that the price I had to pay was no where near the estimate he gave me. John of J&M Cesspool and Septic Pumping Services was very helpful, knowledgeable and caring. He went out of his way to help us, returning a second day to make sure our issue was was resolved. My parents were having plumbing problems and another company had done some work to clear their plumbing. When additional issues arose the other company advised them to have their cesspool pumped to resolve the issue. This is when John came to the rescue! After he pumped our cesspool there were still plumbing issues that were not resolved by the other company. We could not use our toilets or run our water without it overflowing into our home! We had already paid the other company over $600 and they said to fix things further it would cost another $6000! John had done his job of pumping our cesspool and he could have just left, but he was passionate about making sure my parents were not taken advantage of by the other company. He evaluated the situation and was an excellent problem solver and communicator. He took the time to speak to the other company, clearly explaining the situation and sticking up for us so that they would come back quickly to rectify the situation. After speaking with John, the other company returned with their crew and fixed everything at no additional charge! John helped us during a very stressful time and treated my parents like family. We Live in Kaneohe and have a septic tank. The company we used to use seems to have gone out of business. I googled around and found this company. John (owner) picked up right away, gave me a great quote over the phone and we looked at when he could come when I would be home. I was thinking weeks. He said, "You home now?" (4pm) I said, "yes," and he said, "Let me change my shirt and I can come now." He drove up in a CLEAN nice truck, rolled out the hose and got right to work. Very nice and personable.
