Wow! I am extremely happy with Pueo Plumbing. Loved when I called that I spoke to a local person, not a mainland call center. She was very friendly and understanding. Plumber Garrett was at my home in about an hour. Garrett was friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. Last week, I had a large mainland company to clear my toilet line of a clog for a high price. Turns out, they may have just pushed the clog further down the main line. This morning, my shower drain was back flowing, caused by a massive flushable wipe clog deep in the main line. Amazing service with integrity from Alex of Pueo Plumbing! My cold water shutoff valve wasn't working for my kitchen faucet (needed to replace it) so I called Pueo and was immediately scheduled for service in one hour. Alex arrived on-time and found that the handle was broken but the valve was still good. He advised me to buy a replacement handle on my own and avoid their charges since the valve was still good. Can't say enough about integrity in this business and not knowing if they're telling you the truth. He could have easily replaced the entire valve and charged me and I wouldn't have known any better. TLDR - Do not trust Pueo!!! No integrity or accountability! Hired Pueo to do a sewer scope before a home purchase. Home is older and we were very concerned about the health of the cast iron piping underground, especially considering how costly and invasive sewer pipe replacement can be. Was pleasantly surprised to hear the Pueo tech say that they scoped to the city sewer line and the pipe looked good, no issues, thus went ahead w the purchase with optimism. 4 days after moving in, returned to a sewage disaster; downstairs toilet backed into the shower. Long story short, after contacting Pueo repeatedly to confirm they did not see any issues in their scope to the city line, I asked them to send the scope video. Turns out they only scoped 1/3 of the plumbing line (30' out of 90'). Up until I called them out on that, they repeatedly assured me that they did the full line and there was no issue. We hired a different plumber to do the full scope and he found extensive scaling and that our pipes were full of cracks and holes. Pueo ghosted us after we questioned them on the video until we escalated it to the owner. He refunded us for the scope but basically denied any wrongdoing on their part and is not taking any responsibility or showing any accountability for their blatant errors, missions, misrepresentation, and negligence. The whole reason we hired Pueo was so we could make a decision on whether to walk away from this house purchase or at least be equipped to negotiate with the sellers before purchase!!! Now that we have been robbed of that opportunity, we are stuck with $25k+ in repairs and zero recourse. What was supposed to be a happy first-home purchase for our family, after dropping our entire life savings, has now become a nightmare of pleading with Pueo to do the right thing. read more

Again a good experience with Pueo Plumbing. My kitchen sink was clogged and draining slow. Got some advice from a friend mine to run hot water to try and clear the drain. Still was draining slow so called Pueo Plumbing and spoke to Leone. She was very pleasant and accommodating with my appointment. I had a 8:00a appointment but realized I had to work so she rescheduled my appointment for a later time. When I got home, Drake was there and he told me that my drain was clear. Told him last night before I slept it was draining slow. Don't know what happened but he said he could still snake the drain if I wanted him to do it but he thinks it was not needed. Felt bad and apologized to him for coming for nothing. This is why I continue to call Pueo Plumbing when I need a plumber. Customer service is second to none and they are very honest. I have a commercial toilet in my apt (think the tankless type you'd see in restaurants/bars). In 2020 it started leaking and I called Rotor Rooter to come and fix it. It cost me well over $2k (they brought in a remediation company to help with the water damage), only for about 2 months after they "fixed it" to start leaking again. At that point, I was out of the warranty period and they were stating that it would cost me another $3-$4k to completely change out my entire toilet. I ended up with a band aid patch from them that lasted 5 years, until this past week when the leaking started again. I'm not gonna lie, I was really scared of the potential cost for the fix, seeing how 5 years ago I was quoted a couple thousand dollars, but I knew it had to be done. I called Pueo because I had seen them popping up on my facebook feed and they had great reviews. I asked if they did free estimates and the girl I spoke with said "Sure, I could have someone out to you today!" Ryan from Pueo showed up on time (early actually) and after listening to what I went through with Rotor Rooter and showing him the patch pipe job they did, he went through my options with me, the pros and cons, and finally the price estimate. When I tell you my jaw hit the floor because it was THOUSANDS less than what Rotor Rooter quoted me,!! The thought that I had been living with this patch job for 5 years made me so upset, it was clear that Rotor Rooter was definitely just trying to milk me for every dollar. I asked if he was available to fix it today and you guys, HE GOT IT DONE IN 30 MINS. I can't recommend Pueo Plumbing highly enough. Ryan was open, honest and transparent about the pricing, explaining the process, what could go wrong and end up costing more (again, commercial toilet, it's more expensive to fix than a standard), and yet I knew I could trust him. Pueo Plumbing is able to do a professional job in a timely manner for a LOT of money. We had a PROBLEM though: during replacement of some of the pipes, DAMAGE was done to the exterior of our house. Pueo Plumbing REFUSED TO CORRECT THE DAMAGE. They said it would "cost a lot" for someone to come out and assess a repair.....We paid almost $7000 cash for the repair!!! That's what I call "a lot". We choose Pueo for a large plumbing project on our older house and are glad we did. They weren't the lowest bid, but they were definitely the best choice. My issue here in Hawaii Kai was swamp gas coming from our shower drain. It was an awful smell, and if you check your browser, it can lead one to think of costly remedies. However, Ken did basically advise me to use a drain clog solution rather than have Pueo Plumbing come out. I thought he was so honest and basically was giving up a business opportunity to deal with me and possibly make a few bucks. WHAT A RIP OFF! Pathetic would be understatement. I had Mana come and fix ONE TOILET VALVE, a 15 minute job and paid $562!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This should have cost at most $200. I laughed at Mana when he showed me the cost. When I had called the clerk to schedule she said "oh we can come immeditely" and I stated no this is no rush but yet they wanted to come the next day. They are purposely trying to get you to pay expedited fees so that they can price gouge. After Mana saw I was irritated with the ripoff his price went to $350!!!! LOL!!!!! Get some ethics and business ettiquette and quit price gouging the wealthy! So in summary, if you want to get ripped off from some unethical people, call Pueo Plumbing and they will gladly help you out. I have used Pueo plumbing for years. Every time they have come to do a job at my home or my business they are great. They replaced the sewer line from our home to the street. All of the staff are kind and knowledgeable from the booking agents, plumbers and their construction crew. They worked quickly and the only delay we had was the rain kept them from laying concrete. Much can be said of Pueo Plumbing's expertise. Our lawn sprinkler water pressure dropped significantly after a Pressure Regulator Valve (PRV) was placed at our home's gate valve. Ignoring it for a while, we hand watered one section because of the shortage. Through time other plumbers examined our system but couldn't figure out what the problem was. Coming to fix a leak in our toilet bowl valve, Pueo's plumber, Jimmy, discovered a discrepancy in shutting the water to our home - our waterline with the PRV supposedly for the house would not turn off the water, whereas, the waterline to our lawn shut the house water (?). Jimmy, who has a Commercial Plumbing Master license from Washington state, learned that the PRV was placed on the wrong line. So Jimmy placed a new PRV on the houseline and removed the PRV on the lawn sprinkler line, and thereafter, normal water flow to our yard returned! The quality of his work, re-aligning the water line in a small space for the new PRV, was a work of art. Other service by Pueo Plumbing displayed the same expertise, courtesy, timeliness, and trustworthiness. Every homeowner needs a reliable contractor. There's few honest and professional businesses who are willing to save customers money especially when it means turning away new business. Pueo Plumbing is only one of three companies that I've dealt with in the last seven years who fit that category. If I ever need plumbing issues again, this is now the first company I will reach out to. I called to set up an appointment to see what the issues were with my outside water lines and spigots. They were responsive regarding the appointment. Day before the appointment, the nicest manager called and asked me a serious of questions (and put up with even more questions from me). Then she suggested canceling the appointment because there was a means to fix the issue without a licensed plumber as relayed to her by a Pueo technician. I'm thankful for the save but I'm also thankful for the consistent contact: they text, email, and call to book the appointment, confirm the appointment, and then verify the appointment the day before. If I ever need their service, I know they will show up which is not always the case with other companies on the island. Anyway, highly recommend Pueo and it's fantastic team. I had a big leak from the toilet on the 2nd floor. I called Pueo in the morning, they were able to come out at noon the same day. The problem with the leaking toiled was fixed and a bathtub unplugged. They asked if I wanted restoration, and I was so happy to know they could take care of it. The company is very accommodating and helpful. Lewis and Ka'a came to our home to fix a broken sewer pipe that caused our toilet and bathtub to backup and overflow disgusting liquid. Lewis used a camera to locate the exact underground spot of the break. They both worked through rain to dig a trench 10' long and 4' deep to repair the broken pipe. The grass was dug in rectangular sections which looked like grass sod sections so that it could be replanted, and a large tarp was spread to hold all the dirt that was dug. They worked hard and quickly to get the job done so that we could use our water again. Good communication to explain what they found and were doing to resolve the problem. So I called back and they said my email shows it was read but someone didn't get to my quote yet and to be patient. A week goes by and I call again. They say ok they will have someone call me. Although I did not end up going with PUEO for my plumbing needs, I do want to write this review for their excellent customer service. I had a leak in my kitchen sewer drain line that was starting to smell pretty bad. Leo answered my call and indicated that Josh was wrapping up a job in Waianae and would stop by on his way back to town. Josh showed up and immediately began to inspect my sewer line. Ultimately, he couldn't locate the source of the break, but provided me with several options including re-routing of the drain. So why didn't I use PUEO? Since the source of the break couldn't be identified, I assume PUEO quoted me based on worst case scenario, which was double the price I ended getting the drain fixed for. All in all, I appreciated their prompt and wonderful customer service. read more
