While I waited, I watched one of the employees (Chris) ask an older couple if he could help them. Another lady put too much soap in a small machine and I watched Chris help her out. Sure there were machines out of order but there were lots of "thank you's" and "have a good day's". Sometimes that's all you need nowadays.

We understand businesses have closing procedures and cutoff times. That wasn't the issue. Our clothes were already in the dryers and already finished drying around 9:12 PM. I walked to the door simply to retrieve them -- not stay inside folding clothes or holding up closing. The employee locked the door and refused to let us quickly grab our things, telling us we'd have to return in the morning. I explained that I have an autistic daughter and needed her clothes tonight, but there was still no flexibility or compassion shown. Policies matter, but customer service and basic humanity matter too. Especially in a neighborhood where many families already deal with enough stress and rely on laundromats out of necessity, not convenience. We'll know the rules going forward, but this interaction left a really bad impression.

I was so happy that I went there. It was clean, cool and the proprietor was very helpful and friendly and I would go there again for sure.
