She was really short with me and told me that they would unboxed it, and I could view it the next day, I asked if I would be charged double for the boxing fee since they had to do it twice and was told no. And I would have to wait an extra two days to pick it up. No apology was ever given, except by the original people that I dropped my dress off to when I picked up the dress, I was also charged more than what they told me originally so I have a feeling I may have been charged twice for boxing. For something as sentimental as a wedding dress, I would've assumed that a little more kindness would have taken place.

It was a Christmas gift from a grandparent, and it was deeply treasured. I was hesitant to have anyone else handle it because of sentimental value, but it also deeply needed to be washed. I did my research and settled on Town n' Country Cleaners. I dropped the blanket off Wednesday morning and was told to pick it up Friday evening. Very smooth process, the owners were very kind. However. Upon getting ready for bed Friday evening, I was dismayed to realized it had shrunk, a lot. And the fabric felt extremely different, what is commonly called "felting". You could even tell by the fact that the edges were warped from shrinkage. Saturday morning, we called, and were told that the accident didn't happen there, but to still bring the blanket in. So we dropped it off, and were assured that they would try and fix it by Monday evening. Monday evening, we were told that it wasn't quite ready, and that the blanket was "full of rubber". This is a wool blanket from Pendleton, the only materials in it are 82% pure wool and 18% cotton. Zero rubber. But we were told to return the next day. On Tuesday, we were given the blanket back, and told that it couldn't be fixed. That's just how it was, and there was nothing to do. No refund, no reimbursement, and no replacement. Just the now even further ruined blanket. While it *had* un-shrunk some, the physical quality of the materials felt much worse. For reference, the blanket was 90x90. It current measures about 70x80. We cannot afford to just replace the blanket ourselves, and even then, the sentimental value is forever gone. Pendleton blankets last. What should have become a family heirloom is now all but trash.
