Our wedding was about 2 months ago and I'm just now writing this review because I wanted to make…read moresure my disappointment was real and not mixed up with any wedding stress. That being said, I am not writing this out of spite, but simply because we picked Taylor based off of reviews, and we do not want anyone else to make that same mistake. I am not exaggerating when I say he was the worst part of our wedding and if I could change anything, I would've never hired the guy. The list of wrongs is so long, I'm just going to make points. 1) He was late and projected his stress onto everyone else so much that my maid of honor, who is very non confrontational, had to tell him to calm down. 2) As soon as he arrived, he also told my maid of honor that it was "the worst wedding he'd ever been to." 3) He was so upset that we didn't have an extra extension cord for him that we ended up having to take down our lights in the trees to help him be better prepared. 4) He got into it with my little sister, maid of honor, father, brother in law and wedding coordinator. 5) He only played about 30% of the playlist. I worked on it for two weeks. 6) When my friends requested Beyoncé, he said it wasn't on the list. Lies. 7) He played songs we SPECIFICALLY asked him not to, like "Closing Time" instead of "Don't Stop Believing" as our exit song. 8) We weren't even in the room when he announced us for cake cutting. This guy is totally unaware and inflexible, which doesn't work too well if you're in the wedding business. 9) He messed up our first dance by trying to fade the music when it didn't need to be, so we missed our steps because we couldn't hear our cues. 10) We built him a platform for his "turn tables" (which he used maybe once) and he was angry that it was in the corner of the tent instead of in the middle. Our wedding table was in the middle instead. 11) While setting up, my house party asked if he needed anything and he replied with "yeah, a shot." I'm sorry, but weddings are stressful, why are you in this business? He was totally unprofessional and inappropriate. 12) When I got sick of hearing all the music I didn't pick, I went to request a song, turns out he didn't have it. 13) While everyone was cleaning up my house party noticed that he was upset that "nobody was helping him" and said that "everyone usually loves him so much they help him load up." 14) When my husband called him for a week asking to talk about the night, he never returned his calls and we haven't heard from him since the wedding. We told him to call us back or we'd review him, so here you go Taylor. Despite everyone around me doing an amazing job at holding it together and keeping all this information from me, I could still feel the tension and knew something was very wrong. It was so bad, as soon as I got in the car to leave I started crying. I was just so glad the night was over. I felt like I had to work twice as hard to make the best of our reception because Taylor wasn't doing his job. He made this night incredibly stressful and anyone he came into contact with, he offended and upset. I don't quite know what his problem was, he was impatient, irrational, anal, arrogant and appeared to have a severe case of diva complex. It seemed that when it wasn't about him, he threw a fit. It was ridiculous. When I first spoke to him on the phone, he rubbed me the wrong way, but I thought maybe he was just on top of things and decided to trust him as a "professional." When we had our meeting the week before the wedding, he asked us to drive an hour away to meet him and of course was late then as well. The point is, trust your instincts when choosing a vendor, and be aware of this guy. He was extremely unprofessional and made an already stressful day a million times worse. His behavior was extremely questionable and honestly it crossed my mind whether or not he was unstable or maybe on something. We just don't want this to happen to anyone else again. Maybe Taylor will be humbled by this bad review and do better next time or re-evaluate whether or not he's cut out for this business. Either way I hope he's found a chill pill. If I could go back, I would've used an iPod and a friend instead.
