Yesterday I went to Dmv to take tests for my classA and what rarely occurs happened to me. I was asked to do inspection of the whole truck. Not only did I pass this part of test I passed all tests, receiving my classA license. Thank you to Rafa and Juan for their instruction and thank you to Frank for his instruction on how to drive a big rig up to last minute that very much helped me pass driving part of test. There was a deal on the radio shortly after I started attending the school and brought it up to the owner for him to deny it to me saying "no, business is slow we need it only for more new people." I have nothing bad to say about this school. Pretrip inspection and Air Brake Test is short simplified and made easy to remember. Once you learn all of this, your off to learn your skills on the truck(Straight Back, Parallel, Alley Dock, and Offset). Their are 3 trucks on Skills. So, you will get plenty of turns to get on the truck. You will even get exhausted being in the truck, and thats a good thing. 3 hours a day and 5 days a week will probably get you ready to get your Class A license in a month or less. Some schools like "Truck Nation" where I came from only had 1 TRUCK for skills and 1 truck for driving out in the real world. So, it will delay your learning, time and effort. Only good thing about that school was Heart he was the best thing for Truck Nation but that was it. Leaving Truck Nation = Waste of Money, and going to J&R is the best decision ive made in my life. Was hesitant at first to pay again for a school, but well worth it. J&R got me ready and prepared for my DMV apt. Driving Test "In Time". No delays. I just want to say thank you to Juan Frank and all the staff at J&R you guys are real professionals. These guys are real serious about their school. read more
