Updated to say: I come here for the fenced in outdoor area for my toddler. I am never OVERLY blown away by my drinks anymore (besides their birthday limited edition drink which should be a regular menu item) and I can't justify paying nearly $9 for an iced vanilla oat latte unless it's my birthday or a special occasion. My husband just paid nearly $8 for an iced mint tea this week (which was very good, I must say) but for a cup of half ice and half tea...I might as well get the comparable tea at Starbucks and save a few bucks. If they didn't have an outdoor area I wouldn't come back anymore.

Are you KIDDING me with how perfect this coffee shop is. They have a very nice selection of coffee drinks and a pretty typical display case of baked goods. Actually, the latter they seem pretty proud of because when I came in this weekend the very friendly barista had pretty strong opinions about what coffee would go well with what baked good. I wound up with an awesome hot vanilla salted caramel latte and a nice chocolate croissant. But what really stays with me is how lively and enjoyable the environment is. Lots of families from the surrounding residential neighborhood, which is right on the Northern edge of St Paul, as well as people on their own making progress with their laptop activities. They have a lot of ourdoor seating, including a fenced in area which I assume is meant for dogs. There's a separate kids area with toys, and if you go further back there is a gift shop with very cute artisan items. This is a very happy place that I hope you will try!

I stopped by Karol Coffee this past week & what a treat!! It truly feels like a neighborhood staple, tucked into such an unexpected spot, i thought it was a house. It's right by my work, so I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! When you walk in, there are people gathered at tables both inside and out, and the space actually extends much farther back than you'd expect... even into a little hidden area or annex in the back. I ordered from their spring menu and got the pistachio rose latte with oat milk, along with a breakfast sandwich they customized for me without meat. Everything was delicious, and the vibes are immaculate! I'm already excited to go back on a sunny day to sit at the picnic tables or head into the quieter annex type rooms to get some work done. Such an interesting coffee shop--I can't wait to tell more people about it!

What a cute cafe in the cutest Como Park neighborhood! I was surprised how busy they were on a Monday late morning but I can see why after trying their locally roasted coffee. They had fun drinks and I was very pleased with my Vanilla Bean Caramel Latte. It's made with goat milk and vanilla bean caramel sauce. Service was fast and friendly and there was plenty of neighborhood street parking available. The front patio was also very cute!

The staff was really friendly. The place was SO busy and there really wasn't much seating available. This might have been because the weather wasn't great so outside seating wasn't really an option. The scone was delicious and so was the coffee. Probably wouldn't get the cherry cola cold brew again as the syrup flavor was too strong and fake tasting. Overall would highly recommend this place, very kid friendly too!

The perfect blend - literally. Karol Coffee has been the most fabulous addition to the Como area and each part of the building is designed with such charm and character. I attended the Valentine's Day event and had previously stopped in prior to the shop being completely done and I was shocked with the transformation. Entering from the back of the building, you will be transported into a small antique area with drip coffee and a quieter area good for reading, sipping drinks or browsing the items. I scored a bronze candle holder and some lovely incense. Other items include baby clothes, Slow Burn beeswax candles, trinkets, picture frames, pottery and more. There is a long connecting hallway which wraps to the front shop where there is a comfy area for children and a big green couch. There's a few small tables, nice bathrooms and a giant barista bar. It is very important to note that the front room is not big so being aware in the colder months as opposed to the warmer months the when the exterior patio can be used for more space is nice to forecast accordingly. The service is top notch. Even on an event day, staff members were slinging coffee and pastries with a smile. Many of the pastries including the ham and cheese croissants are baked locally from La Boulangerie Marguerite. I gifted some gluten free espresso donuts to friends and those were lovely as well. For my drink, I had the Valentine's one day only menu item of the chocolate covered strawberry latte. I was pleased to see that when ordering to sit down, the drinks are prepared in a pottery mug - another bonus! I took my drink to the back section as it was much quieter and less busy and was able to snag a table and read my book. I look forward to many more visits to try other menu items and I can't wait to see how the legacy progresses forward for Karol Coffee. Thank you, thank you!! Como was missing a shop like this. I'm so glad you are here. Note: the Valentine's Day pop up was orchestrated perfectly. I really enjoyed it!

Now that I have been back I must say their iced americano is one of the best I have ever had. I also appreciate jar they have a lot of outdoor seating.

I think this place is a bit of a hidden gem!! It is absolutely beautiful inside, their holiday decorations were simple but rustic, the perfect vibe!! The drinks are really great, and they have some unique options for specials!! There was lots of space (I sat and read for a while). The staff was so so kind too!!

Such a cozy and charming coffee shop! The barista recommended a drink for me that wasn't too sweet. The seasonal pistachio rose latte (half sweet) with oat milk was delicious. I will be back to Karol Coffee!

Karol coffee has it all: amazing food, great coffee, lovely outdoor space, and is completely kid friendly! I went here with my friends and their family, and there was something for everyone. It was so lovely to have a space where the kids could play so the adults could catch up. Service was excellent despite being super busy that morning. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

Karol coffee seems like the place to go for mom meetups and with kids. There's a cute fenced in patio and playground in the back that was full in the morning. There's also picnic tables outside the area in shade or sun! The coffee was delicious and I loved the brown sugar cardamom syrup in my latte. The baristas were nice and there was a few food options as well. Karol is an adorable community spot!

Good coffee, decent space, nice staff, can get busy. Came here on a Friday at 9am and snagged a table. They were pretty full for the duration I was there. Nice accessible outlets. Lots of kids when I was there, Not a quiet place but I didn't mind. Got a latte with the blackberry syrup and it was delicious.

We rolled in a little before 1:00 PM and had no trouble finding easy street parking (huge win!). The vibe inside? Mixed. While the space was cute, relaxed and inviting, the service was... not so much. The guy at the front counter barely looked up from his screen, and let's just say, enthusiasm wasn't on the menu. Definitely not the warm welcome we hoped for and very unfortunate. BUT--shoutout to my bestie for treating us to a coffee date, because the drinks were solid. I had the piña colada cold brew, which was super sweet at first, but after a quick stir, it hit just right. My bestie went with the strawberries & cream cold brew and a matcha lemonade. Both were surprisingly good, but the matcha lemonade really stood out to me; so refreshing and unique. All in all, Backstory was a convenient and tasty pre-concert stop. If the service matched the drinks, this would've easily been a 5-star visit.

The atmosphere strikes a really nice balance between modern hipster café and work-from-home headquarters. There are plenty of people chatting with friends, while others are focused on laptops, creating a relaxed but energetic vibe that never feels too loud or too quiet. The coffee itself is where Kingdom Coffee really shines. Their menu feels thoughtfully curated, with drinks that have unique flavor profiles without trying too hard to be different. Even their standard blends stood out--they had a natural sweetness that was smooth and balanced, never overpowering or overly sugary. It's the kind of coffee that lets the quality of the beans do the talking. The staff was welcoming, the space was comfortable, and the overall experience made me want to stay longer than I planned. Whether you're looking for a quality cup of coffee, a place to get some work done, or just a relaxing stop while exploring the area, Kingdom Coffee is absolutely worth the visit. It's a standout coffee shop and definitely one of the better spots to check out in Minneapolis.

There is a small selection of baked goods, including gluten-free options. I also really appreciated how clearly the menu labels which drinks and foods are gluten-free and lists what's in each drink. I would definitely come back again!
