Two times now I have called the hobby shops around my area, one of which has now gone out of business, and none of them have had the basic replacement part I need for my common RC. Sorry, out of stock on that right now, but we can order it ! Both times I zoomed farther out on Google maps and ended up calling this place. Both times I was told, yeah, we got that. Two road trips in two years and about 24 miles each way each time but needed part in hand in under one hour for me. Both times the price was great too. Thanks you Guys ! Holy crap. This place is so cool. Good scaler course and track outdoors and a ton of great rigs and parts inside. I could have spent a few hours in there. If you are browsing, it's a lot of digging through stuff. If you know what you're looking for, it's best to ask and get pointed in the right direction. I found interior parts for my TRX4 in stock that I haven't been able to even find online in about a month worth of searching. For the most part, prices are as good as you're going to find online plus they have almost anything you could want as far as ground vehicles go. Don't spend your coin online when you can go to a such a cool local shop. Support your LHS!!! I drove down from Bellingham and it was worth the drive. read more

This place is rad. At first it's a little weird because it isn't a self-serve store, but once you realize they have a bazillion parts you understand why: if the public was allowed to root around through everything there would be no way to keep track of the massive inventory. I bought a couple of cars for my kids and one of them I was just thrashing and list a little set screw. I called them up and they had that and any other part I could want or need and three people in there ready to help immediately. The guy runs a very tight ship. read more

Three stars because the shop is cool and John is awesome, but the track is nearly unusable, which is really sad, it's lanes are very narrow, hard to tell what direction to go because the borders are blown out and it's horribly sandy. The track is on a slope and your car almost disappears from view sometimes from the drivers stand. The puddles are huge and takes a long time to dry after a rain. As far as I can tell it's nearly abandoned. Used to be quite good years ago, and very populated on weekend days. The street widening project pushed the sidewalk up against the track, so there is no parking now, everyone used to back there trucks up to the track and use the tailgates as pits. I really wish the RC community would get together to push the west side back away from the sidewalk creating parking or at least an area for pit tables, dump a load of clay on the track to keep the sand down and widen the lanes so all skill sets could navigate it, putting parking/pits in would make it smaller but so what? Still be bigger than North Seatac. This place would literally be epic if it was kept up. It's one of the last places to run nitro since north SeaTac, and Tacoma RC is electric only. The shop has what you need, but you can't browse, you need to know what you want, ask for it then pay and go so the next person in line can do the same. I recommend calling ahead to see if they have what you need. I wish they would do a Facebook post a couple times a week, maybe a customers RC at photo of the week, or something I really think it would let everyone know they are active, they could post dates for a race get together or even host a community volunteer track work day! There is basically no room in there to ponder a purchase. I wish that whole building was JandS not just the south end of it. That said I love the place, and it's a fixture in the RC world. And I'm hopeful the track reclaims it's lost glory. read more

While the store is crowded with parts all over, they are very helpful when parts are needed or if you have questions. The outdoor race track is only $5 to use and my son loves racing his car on it. They now also have a rock crawler course with some obstacles for more fun. read more

I took my two sons in for their first RC shop/truck and was pleased by the selection, service and commitment. He took the time to answer all our questions, set us up with a very functional truck that my boys can tune as they grow, and gave advice on what parts to modify and what to watch out for. The prices lined up with everything I found online, but the obvious win is working so hard to make sure the kids were enjoying starting the hobby. Note** The track they have looks like great fun, and all of the people there were very friendly. We will be going to Marysville for all our parts! read more

I have been into RC hoody stuff for over 25 years. Often I get into it for a few years and then take a break for a few years. This time it's with my nine year old son who is super excited to get going. I have bought a new crawler, charger, batteries, remote, and other bits from J&S recently. As always everything has been top notch. My last few visits have been during the Kungflu Covid19 thing and you can't go into the store. This all for safety and I can totally understand and appreciate the care they have for customers and themselves. I mention the outbreak because they were out of Venom Chargers, and the only thing he had was the Hitec RDX1. I have watched a bunch of videos on this charger and can't find any bad info on it. I just set it up and charged my first set of batteries with no issue. I hope this helps others, and I guess if you want to get information from a true professional that not only knows the history of RC and can answer every question my Nine year old can throw at him then this is the family owned and operated place for you. THIS R/C SHOP IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! They have everything from the high end kits to beginner ready 2 run stuff! I appreciate the access to the high end kits as they're almost impossible to find in any hobby shops in Western Washington. They have many many parts for your car/truck so if you're looking for something to get you back on the track this is your spot!! There isn't much room in there to move around but that's a huge plus because there's so many bad ass trucks n stuff filling every free square inch! I've been to ALL the hobby shops in Western Washington many many times and J&S is without a doubt the best!! The owner works the register and is there to answer questions and with him comes numerous years of valuable experience in the R/C industry!! He's really a nice person and always willing to help!! I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH J&S FOR HAVING SUCH AN AWESOME SHOP!! I'll continue to come up from where I live in Seattle so I can shop at the best shop possible!! read more

This hobby shop has everything you can imagine for customizing your RC vehicles. Lots of selection of Vaterra, Losi, Traxxas, RC4WD, and Axial products. They also have a great outdoor track as well. The store does seem a little cluttered inside, but with the great owner and nice selection of spare parts, its still a wonderful place to visit. read more

In the past year we found that our interest in the RC "World" was growing and so this was a new journey we were starting out on. We were a little overwhelmed with trying to purchase vehicles online and didn't really know what kind of batteries and chargers we needed. We felt we found a good, fair price online but still wondering if we could get generic batteries to save some money but wanted to ask someone that might be able to give us some direction. The selection in the store is very good and to top it off the owner has helped me with multiple issues I have had from tires to lipo batteries.
