Absolutely love this place! My favourite sushi place in town - have been a regular for several years.

I called to ensure that they would be open when we wanted to visit and phone recipient offered me a reservation and we agreed upon time. I just ordered my first meal from this restaurant and I will never order here again. I love sushi, and eat it regularly (twice this week) so I thought I'd try a couple basic rolls (kamikaze, cali), gyoza, miso soup, and sushi pizza, then i saw the pad thai and added it too... getting there and picking up the food I was kind of excited but after getting home and opening the containers, I was disgusted by what I saw (I live 5 minutes away) Starting with the miso soup, it was bland broth and a sad excuse for a soup. The rolls avocado was brown and were overly doused in sauces from the other rolls (all rolls packed in one container). The absolute worst rolls I've ever had, hands down (two of our family standard orders). The sushi pizza (crab) was as disappointing as the rolls and while loaded with toppings, was a terrible ratio and no one enjoyed it. The gyoza was over cooked but the sauce was tasty. The salad that was ordered with was tiny, like a small handfull of microgreens with 10 pieces of shredded carrots and the dressing was flavourless, as an additional cost I am embarrassed for this particular piece of the dish for the restaurant, pathetic at best. The final hope was with the pad thai, and this the most sad pad thai I've ever seen. I love pad thai, but this was just overcooked rice noodles, with a fried flat egg on top of it with a half handful of peanuts thrown on top. There were nearly no vegitables, and the chicken was pure rubber, and it was wrapped in tinfoil... I couldn't imagine any restaurant letting a dish like this out the door! If you're thinking of eating here, it's the worst one in Fredericton, no questions there so think twice and check somewhere else... $120, and we threw 70% of it out and wouldn't darken the door here ever again, even if someone paid me. read more

Amazing find. There are two entrances. Entering from the street will find you at the back of the restaurant, once we walked through to the front we were warmly greeted and seated. Service was excellent, friendly, attentive. Food quality and taste, exceptional. Small extra touches of complementary small miso soup and bite size cheesecake were very nice. We would definitely recommend the J's special noodle, the Spicy Seafood Ramen, and the Chicken Gyoza. Try any of their house made teas as a great add on to your meal. We will be back again and again. read more

Good food, great atmosphere in the dinner section, very efficient. Gluten free options. The sushi I had was warmer than room temp (sushi should be colder), and the rice was totally unflavoured (sushi rice is rice that is flavoured with sugar and rice vinegar), and the fish was not tasty. read more

Tried the new location on Main Street on the Northside. Fabulous! Food was delicious, generous portions, presentation was beautiful. Little extra touch was a complimentary mini cheesecake for dessert. Service was great too! Something I always take into consideration with a restaurant is how clean the bathroom is. Here it was spotless. Will definitely be back! read more

Food feels like it came out of the MICROWAVE, quantity and quality very small, chicken hard to bite, vegetables not fresh, and the price is not worth it. Won't be writing a good review just because of a free desert. There are better restaurants in Fredericton. read more
