Our party arrived at Parks hungry, and in good spirits. 90 minutes later we left hungry, our faith in local sushi badly shaken. They have a large lunch special board and seem to cater to that crowd. We, however came during dinner time. There was a ample seating in this pleasant restaurant with a friendly welcome from the staff. We ordered two family plates and three green teas. The family plates were anemically small an order of TWO plates would feed a family of four with younger children (the cost? $150 before tax). The sushi itself was fresh and prepared with care and quality typical of an all-you-can-eat style in other towns. The yakisoba noodles were delicious and seasoned with peanut sauce. However the tempura came with only one vegetable (yams) and our teas took twenty minutes. Moral of this story:. Take out lunch specials people! Do not dine in for dinner. read more

Had such an amazing experience here. The staff was so friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was really fresh, we had sushi and noodles (I can't remember which) but they were both delicious. At the end of our meal they brought us a sweet tea that was also delicious. I have eaten here several times since it opened in mid July 2011. The menu is both Korean as well as Japanese Sushi. I have had several varieties of the sushi- eel, avocado, the giant tiger, crunchy shrimp and most recently, the Lion King ( fish roe on top as a faux mane - delicious ). It took me a moment to get into the cold noodle soup -Naeny Myeon- it was recommended that I add "mustard sauce to the dish- and then it was great! Drinking straight from the bowl is recommended. Don't be afraid. The crystal noodles are something I have never had before- and it's turning into a fav dish. Another dish I like is their the kyoja mandu- korean dumpings also known as Korean perogies - filled with pork and veges: delicious. I have been making attempts with the chop sticks yet they thoughtfully provide forks and knives for those who just can't use the things. It certainly adds to the experience. The staff know their business and are friendly and courteous.It is open in the evenings and many Frederictonians are flocking to the place as word spreads that it is open and is worth hitting . At the moment, they are doing their prep in the mid afternoon so are technically closed for an hour or two while they get ready for the evening dining crowd. This is how they are keeping everything fresh. They may change this practice later on so that they are always open to keep us all happy...lol... THe place is air-conditioned so it is very comfortable sitting eating inside- even in FRedericton's notoriously hot muggy nights. Just ate here because I've been craving some sushi since I came to Fredericton on vacation. The staff were really friendly and sweet so I'm sad to leave a semi-negative review, but the sushi was.... meh. I really love fresh fish in my sushi rolls so I was disappointed with the lack of fresh tuna and salmon on the menu. (I wouldn't have minded so much, but the restaurant has sushi in the name, I expected more variety than just crab stick, shrimp and smoked salmon) I ended up ordering an orange cali roll and some miso soup, the soup was.. well you can't go wrong with miso soup, it was yummy. The roll was nothing special, standard cali roll on the inside, but the rice was not sticking well enough, it was crumbling more than it should. My biggest gripe though was the lack of fish roe on top, I love roe, and most places I've been to give you a really lovely coat of fish eggs on top but there was barely any on my roll. :( I may go back, but it will be to see if I can try the yakisoba or something, I wouldn't order sushi again if I can make comparable (if not better) sushi at home in my own kitchen. Anyway, I'm leaving 3-stars because I don't want to rate the place just on their sushi, but if I did it would be 2-stars. P.S. The portions of ginger and wasabi we got with our rolls were uncommonly small. read more

You'll be hard pressed to find sushi in Fredericton. While Park's doesn't have any traditional raw fish the rolls are good and the noodles are filling. Definitely supporting this establishment again. read more

We were visiting Fredericton from out of town and were glad that we stumbled upon this restaurant. We came in the middle of the afternoon and were served as soon as we arrived. I ordered the yum and yam roll and was struck by the creative combination of ingredients...there were a few unusual sushi options for vegetarians which was great because typically sushi restaurants have the same and limited options for vegetarians (cucumber rolls, anyone?) I really enjoyed my roll - all ingredients were very fresh- and fought the urge to gobble it down, it was so good.. My husband had the thick noodles with chicken and was also very happy with his meal. Based on this meal, we would definitely be regulars if we lived in the area. read more

Park's is a great no-frills "cafe" with fantastic food and really nice staff. There is limited seating in a casual dining area, but was very comfortable for a quick lunch. The food (sushi, soup, and yakisoba) were amazing; very fresh and light, and quickly prepared and served. The menu was very broad; pictures would have been nice to help with some of the traditional names. Note that they close for dinner preparation, so you may want to check their hours before you stop by. All in all it was pretty great, and we'll be back many times I'm sure!! read more

I was disappointed by the quality of their sushi, and their menu is misleading. It lists ingredients as "crab" and "salmon", but the roll I got came with a mock crab stick (definitely not crab) and smoked salmon. My roll was basically just like the cheap ones you get at the grocery store, except a tiny bit fresher, but just as expensive as in high quality sushi restaurants that use real, fresh, quality ingredients. It didn't taste bad, just not what I expected. I would have liked to know beforehand that I wasn't getting real crab or fresh salmon. The staff were all very friendly. read more

I had seen some good reviews for this place & I have to say it did not live up to the hype. My son had the ramen soup with egg and he loved it. My daughter had the vegie sushi and the crunchy shrimp roll. Both were delicious but overpriced. I had the Unagi and the rainbow roll. The Unagi was disgusting. I usually love Unagi but this tasted like it had been recently defrosted from the freezer. It was tough and gross! The worst was the tuna rolls that my husband ordered. It was CANNED tuna!! I can go buy a $0.95 can of tuna at the grocery store and slap it on rice myself. I certainly didn't expect to pay almost $10.00 for a roll of CANNED tuna!! I am extremely disappointed. read more

We didn't try the sushi but we ordered the ramen, it's just the instant noodle and also for the soup, which is the flavoring pack in the instant noodle. Why should i pay 11$ for a pack of instant noodle ? I could have cooked that by myself and it's a lot cheaper. TOTALLY overpriced. If it's not the real ramen then DON'T offer it plz. read more

The restaurant has an intimate setting and the proprietor, Mr. Park, made my wife and I very comfortable and welcomed. I had a few sushi and tempura variations; all of them very good to excellent. The soups, as well, are outstanding. read more
