The park covers about 470 acres and can be divided into 4 sections Tennis playground with pavallion softball field 6 athletic fields for rent There is a walking trail that I didn't realize that was there until one day I saw someone walking there... Looks like Cherokee County's parks are starting to rival some of the bigger towns around like Roswell and even Atlanta...watch out guys...here we come....

I love visiting it with my husband just before sunset. We saw so many kids playing in the spider web climbing thing and the play area. There was a birthday party going on and the park was filled with folks of all ages. Trails: A little walk on the left leads you to the dam(falls) and it's a very quiet and serene path to walk or jog. There are 2-3 trails around the park but a bit rugged, so I recommend going when there's plenty of daylight. Parking spots are plenty and the park is pet-friendly. Fun fact: Atlanta Astronomy Club conduct star gazing events at this park. Check their website for more information!

There are also kayak rentals on the river bank below. When we came we hiked the 3/4 mile looped trail behind the playground accessible from the parking lot. There was a bald eagle flying above his beat. Kayakers down below had beached themselves on a sandbar in the middle of the river. A guitarist was jamming and kids were playing in the Sun. Just a picture perfect place to relax and take in the sites.

The name of the Waller Park Extension game are fields. Several different fields litter the area and I counted at least 4, crammed into this tiny foot print. Parking is surprisingly very spacious and in fact, there's a lower parking lot that's just behind the City of roswell office that you pass to get to another area of the park. Down below is more parking, as well as yet another soccer field. Front and center at the main portion of the park is a nice children's play area, that was being taken full advantage of by kids, and strategically placed near the play area, were benches for parents to sit and watch or just for anyone to sit and soak up the day. Park up keep is very clean and well put together. I didn't see one stray piece of trash, which is pretty cool! There is an aquatic center to the left of the park (if you're facing the children's play area), but i'm not sure if it is affiliated with the park itself. There are no hiking trails here, but my guess is you're not coming here for that, and that's cool. If you have kids, play sports or just live close, this tiny little park is your little secret. If you're looking for a hike, or a monstrous mega park, you wont find that here. Nice, clean, small park with lots of parking that gets the job done. Definitely a fan!

My friend was telling me how awesome it is....and she was right! There are lots of sports fields here and I know Roswell recreation department offers sports classes for kids. There are 2 play structures. One hue one for older kids including a rock wall, huge slides, and other various things. Then a smaller one with the same kind of things on a smaller level. They have several swings including a tire swing and handicapped swing too. There is a pavilion are with lots of shade, and there is good shade coverage from the trees as well. There is also a huge skate park in the back!! Also community tennis courts! This seems like a great park and we will definitely be utilizing it!

But luckily there is a trolley and a shuttle bus when there is a concert going on. Check the city's website http://www.woodstockga.gov/90/Special-Events This charming place located in the center of downtown Woodstock features a gazebo, a water fountain, a war memorial tribute as well as a 9/11 memorial. There is also a time capsule as well as a centennial clock. Towards the front there are two drinkable water fountains for public use. This area is very family friendly as it is close to all the shops and restaurants in the downtown area. It's well maintained and gets lots of use on the weekend...hope you'll stop by and check it out.

They have multiple benches and a fountain. I have seen tons of wedding parties taking pics in this beautiful setting. While you visit the park, make sure to walk Main Street! They have great shops and fantastic restaurants! Some of my favs include; Dress Up, Morgan's Ace Hardware, Salt Factory, Reel Seafood, and Mad Life Stage & Studio. There are new businesses popping up like crazy! They recently finished a beautiful amphitheater located right behind the park. If you haven't visited Downtown Woodstock, it's a MUST see in the OTP!

This is such a beautiful park with an ADA accessible trail. We used the ADA side to bring our girls…read morein tow and it was such a beautiful walk down to the lake. There are restrooms and a water bottle refill station right before the ADA trail starts. It's beautifully wooded and such a peaceful place to get in a walk and sit by the water. There are benches along the way and plenty of benches at the lake with a long deck. There were people fishing there when we visited. Definitely come take a stroll. It's gorgeous.
