Avalanche Trail at Rope Mill Park

Awesome mountain bike trails can be found at Rope Mill Park. Around 15 miles altogether. Very well maintained and clearly marked so you're never lost. Water fountain and restrooms on site as well as water access, hiking, picnic tables and wooden bench-style swings. Upper and lower parking lots.

This park off of I 575 North off of Ridgewalk Parkway. It's the same exit as the outlet mall. There are two parking areas. One to the left as you enter the park and one straight ahead. The park is actually located on the site of a rope mill that actually existed and was in operation from about 1840 to about 1949. I believe the website says the mill was dismantled when Lake Allatoona was created.... The area is popular with hikers and mountain bikers alike. There is a 14 miles Taylor Randahl Mountain Bike Trail (as of this writing it is temporarily closed for construction and repairs) you can check the website http://www.woodstockga.gov/307/Olde-Rope-Mill-Park for when the trail will open back up again.... It's jammed on the weekends but that's expected....there is fishing, canoeing and about 0.5 miles of hiking trail.... It's a nice park and great addition to the city of Woodstock

Scenic kayaking trail. First time was amazing. Second time water level was so low it was unyakable. I don't know how often that occurs. Try to check level before you go.

This was an awesome park my mom and I took the dogs to . A little muddy cuz it rained before . It has nice trails and creeks all through out the park . You can even take a small boat and go boating . I'm guessing in the summer time it's a popular place to go to get in the water . It also has good bike trails if you like to do biking . Definitely a place to go to for a day of hiking. Bring snacks water for everyone including your pets :-) .

Turbine just after first set up of jumps

Great hiking trails. Steeper trail to get to the waterfall if you walk but a lot of people canoe.

There is current construction of a ramp for entering the little river more safely with kayaks.
