It's on church property, but there was plenty of parking by the park. Not crowded at all for a Sunday. More children and their parents came to the park after church let out around 12:15. The park is very clean. My daughter loved the slides. So happy there were steps that she could climb by herself and lower slides that she wasn't afraid to try. We will definitely be back!!!

But luckily there is a trolley and a shuttle bus when there is a concert going on. Check the city's website http://www.woodstockga.gov/90/Special-Events This charming place located in the center of downtown Woodstock features a gazebo, a water fountain, a war memorial tribute as well as a 9/11 memorial. There is also a time capsule as well as a centennial clock. Towards the front there are two drinkable water fountains for public use. This area is very family friendly as it is close to all the shops and restaurants in the downtown area. It's well maintained and gets lots of use on the weekend...hope you'll stop by and check it out.

They have multiple benches and a fountain. I have seen tons of wedding parties taking pics in this beautiful setting. While you visit the park, make sure to walk Main Street! They have great shops and fantastic restaurants! Some of my favs include; Dress Up, Morgan's Ace Hardware, Salt Factory, Reel Seafood, and Mad Life Stage & Studio. There are new businesses popping up like crazy! They recently finished a beautiful amphitheater located right behind the park. If you haven't visited Downtown Woodstock, it's a MUST see in the OTP!

I love visiting it with my husband just before sunset. We saw so many kids playing in the spider web climbing thing and the play area. There was a birthday party going on and the park was filled with folks of all ages. Trails: A little walk on the left leads you to the dam(falls) and it's a very quiet and serene path to walk or jog. There are 2-3 trails around the park but a bit rugged, so I recommend going when there's plenty of daylight. Parking spots are plenty and the park is pet-friendly. Fun fact: Atlanta Astronomy Club conduct star gazing events at this park. Check their website for more information!

There are also kayak rentals on the river bank below. When we came we hiked the 3/4 mile looped trail behind the playground accessible from the parking lot. There was a bald eagle flying above his beat. Kayakers down below had beached themselves on a sandbar in the middle of the river. A guitarist was jamming and kids were playing in the Sun. Just a picture perfect place to relax and take in the sites.

We did the red trail loop that was about 2.5 miles long. Although located off a really noisy highway, as you go inside the park it gets surprisingly quiet and nice. It's next to the Roswell Art Center and parking can get difficult to find at times. And, there are no restrooms, only porta potties. Beautiful, rolling green hills and lots of trees. Can't wait to see what it looks like once the leaves have begun to change color for Fall. Lots of families were there to visit and enjoy a walk or picnic, and there are walking/hiking trails to explore as well. The entire park consists of about 107 acres, including a dog park which I will definitely have to visit next time with my Husky.

There's a private horse farm nearby, you cannot touch or feed the horses, but you can definitely see them if they're out. lots of parking although it can get busy for sure especially when kids get out of school or on the weekends. There's also a large park w/ a walkway in the back with a lake. There's an outer area where people do parties sometimes. on sunny days there's not a lot of shade so be warned: It can get very hot. Overall I recommend going in the morning or on days where kids have school so that it's not as busy and your toddler/kid can have a run of the park. There's also restrooms in the area. It's kept fairly clean.
