I have been doing my nails with Cindy and John for just over three years. I love them both. They do a great job on thin acrylic nails. I also love the girls they have for pedicures. Do not come here if you're trying to have a relaxing pedicure. The Cuban or Dominican lady who did my feet was unsanitary, she didn't wear any gloves and would stop to text on her phone every 30 seconds. She was chipping away at my toes I was in pain!! I have never felt more uneasy at a nail salon where I'm supposed to be "treating myself". She was scraping my toes and cut my toe nails so short they were not straight or shaped how I liked she didn't even ask. I told her I wanted white and the color she used isn't even a pure white it's cloudy and not vibrant definitely does not look like it would be an OPI color they look horrible. She kept yanking my legs around whenever she wanted me to move them like just tap me and politely tell me where u want me to move, but no she literally would grab my leg and place it aggressively as if I were some child. She was on her phone the whole time, didn't give a massage, no lotion, didn't even add anything to the water it was just hot and barely clean from the previous person before me. She was so rough she stabbed my toe and left a mark. Cindy did my nails and was rough as well, filing them in a hurry I was scared I was going to get cut, and she cut my cuticle too short it almost bled. Didn't even clean up the polish it looks messy. All of the techs were in a hurry to leave as soon as they closed leaving Cindy all alone to finish the last client because none of them know how to do acrylic but work at a nail salon. My daughter and I set up an appointment for 5 PM with one of the nail techs at JC Spa Nails when we showed up at the JC Spa Nails I mispronounced the nail techs name and the Asian lady and everyone else said the nail tech didn't work there anymore. I then asked don't you have an appointment scheduled for me? The Asian Woman said NO, never even looking at the appointment book. As we left the location we saw the nail tech and she assured us we had an appointment. We went back in and the Asian man responded yelling; MAM YOU DON'T HAVE AN APPOINTMENT, YOU DO NAILS OR DON'T! So we walked out. I really wanted this to be a routine but it looks like that won't be happening at JC Spa Nails. Customers shouldn't be treated like this, they should be respected as we respect any individual providing us with services. read more

i'm extremely unhappy with my visit to this small, run down nail shop. I was trying to find a new nail shop to go to that was as affordable as affordable gets with nails. long story short, they suck. the co-owner JOHN is rude. if you ever read this, you're a bitch. CINDY (co-owner) is more tolerable. their prices are misleading as hell. i went for a gel refill, I was charged $30 when the board said $20. johns reason was "you got acrylic with gel polish so it's $15 for the nail and $15 for the polish".... and then argued with me. when 1. he wasn't doing my nails and 2. he wasn't even there when i asked CINDY how much it would be.. then on top of that because that's her colleague.. she co signed him.. after telling me it was $20 when i first entered. so it's safe to say i'll never give them my business again. and again.. fuck john, unprofessional ass. he's rude. I used to come often to this place before today. The lady that attended couldn't have been more rude. She was too aggressive when she was cutting my cuticles , at one point I had to tell her to stop because she had literally cut me . She didn't respond , say anything in response . She just kept at it. After she was done she left the little fan on and didn't even say anything , for example , like lead me to a place where I can get my nails dried faster in the machine they have .My finger ended up stinging the entire time I was there. I complained to the manager but the response was "oh I'm sorry". Nothing to remedy such a sour situation . Never again coming to this place . read more

I made an appointment to get my nails done with one of the owners but when I got there she convinced me to sit with someone new. She told me he did great nails. I was bothered that she changed my appointment but I really needed a full set. The nail tech did such an awful job, my nails looked like thick chicklets. If I would of just glued actual chicklet gum to my nails, they would of looked better! When I showed the owner my nails, she looked at me as if I was crazy. She filed them for me again and painted them a different color because she said it hid the defects and still charged me full price. Never going back there again. read more

I went while she was on vacation and the other lady who helped with my mani/pedi and eyebrows was just as good only down fall was that she did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate with her. Literally the worst place that i have ever been to. Walked in and no one even bothered to acknowledge the fact that I was waiting for a nail tech. Then when I finally got assisted by Joel, he was on the phone the entire time and did such a poor job. I got acrylic gel nails and after just a few hours of leaving the salon my nail polish had bubbles on it and ended up peeling off. The clear coat doesn't even cover the whole nail. The lady that did my feet cut me like three times and basically butchered by big toe. To top it all off they are expensive, $57.00 for a half ass refill and pedicure. Doing your pedi/mani is not something you should take slightly, and JC Nails is the place to go, the owners have expanded the place and renewed!!! I hve been a client there since 2007 and I had stopped going because I got pregnant I the smell gave me nauseas. It took me a while to come back and when I did, to my surprise, the salon was bigger and prettier! There were also two more manicurists than the original 5, which makes the walkins line move faster. Don't get fool, though, always make an appointment to ensure propmt assistance since appointments have preference. The service is very good, and if you enjoy a chatty time, this is the place to go! When leaving you will be fully sastisfied with the work and the price you pay! They accept Credit cards but the tips are to be paid in cash, and of course, no checks are allowed. read more

Worst salon experience ever! I've been getting gelish nails for about three years, every two weeks. I've been to many nail salons in Miami. My regular nail spot is closed on Tuesdays, and I was very desperate so I went to JC nails. Jacqueline seats me for a pedicure and puts my hands in acetone to remove the gelish nail polish. After hacking at my feet for the most uncomfortable hour of my life, my fingers were on fire because she never stopped to take off the nail polish although I told her it was ready. So I had to remove it myself. She cut my toenails soo short that I cringed every time she would file. She was literally filing at my skin. Looked terrible! Then when she did my hands she was buffing my fingers more than my nails that she actually burned my fingers. She was cutting so much when she was removing cuticle that she left minor cuts on all my fingers. A ten year old could paint nails better. My nails look like globs at this point and she's stabbing me with the wooden stick constantly and calls me sensitive. I told her the color looks different than the one on my feet and she discredits me. After drying the second coat you can see that she painted my hands a different color. My feet were orange and mg hands were pink. I was so mad I told the owner, Cindy, and she said to just put the orange natural color over my hands.. By now I had been here for three hours and they had made me late to an appointment so I asked her to skip the massage. The end result was so frustrating. After such an unpleasant experience and such an ugly result, I was charges full price. My fingers are bleeding and burning. My nails look globby and are missing paint around the edges and my hands and feet are mismatched. Please avoid yourself the heartache.. And don't waste your money here. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had at a nail salon. Made an appointment for a powder gel refill with Cindy, got there 10 min early while she was free...told me to wait then she ends up attending a walk in client. I waited 40 minutes to then be attended by John, who did a terrible refill...they made me feel soo uncomfortable conversing with another client saying how they prefer not to do powder gel etc. while he was doing my nails! I do my nails with John and my feet with who ever is available but if I had to pick I would say for feet (Kaleria). John is a perfectionist and always makes my nails look natural, they are not too thick or too skinny and don't lift from the sides like other places I've been to. Even though it has nothing to do with service, I had to write about my experience with this place. My mom she is a licensed manicurist with over 20 years of experience in a high end salon in Coral Gables. She moved on because she got very sick and she had to get some time off , but now after a year she is ready to get out there again. I called this J.C Nails the day before and asked if they were hiring and the guy said yes and he asked to please come by to see me and I said ok, so the next day being today I passed and noticed they had 2 signs that they were hiring and got even more excited, so I go inside with my mom and I ask the oriental guy If they were hiring nail technicians and his answer while mumbleling was no and then he turns around and ask this oriental lady in his language she ask for her, meaning my mom and then she glance at mom and me and says no no no like if we were inconveniencing her. I never felt so discriminated. Yes I know the discrimination is a harsh word , but that's the way we felt because I called the day before and yes they were hiring, the window has a sign on each side we are hiring and as soon they saw we weren't oriental, no they are not hiring. read more
