Rating them a 3/5 because my nail lady - I believe her name was Yully, not 100% sure but my nail lady asked if I wanted the water warm or hot, I said hot. Water was cold when I dipped my feet. I didn't like the shape. I asked for square cut but I feel like she rounded by toe nails idk. For a regular pedicure and gel color removal I paid about $50. Which is not that bad IMO. read more

1 Star I'm leaving this review to share an honest and disappointing experience at Bloom Bar Nails. I called ahead to book because I was having trouble with the online system. On the phone, I clearly explained my situation: I currently have luminary on my nails, had previously only done a polish change (not a refill), and I am intentionally letting the luminary grow out. I specifically asked for my nails to be evened out and repainted--no refill. I was told on the phone this would not be a problem, so I booked the appointment. When I arrived, Giselle, who did my hands and feet, immediately pushed back and argued with me about the service. For nearly 15 minutes, nothing was done while I repeatedly explained what had already been approved when I booked. Eventually, she agreed to proceed, but the experience was already uncomfortable and unnecessarily tense. My daughter's experience was significantly worse. Yanni, who did my daughter's nails, was extremely rude and had a visible attitude from the start. She filed my daughter's nails very aggressively and then refused to trim them--even though several were broken very short while others were long. She stated she would only "smooth and paint them," leaving them all different lengths, which is not an acceptable or professional outcome. When I objected, there was repeated resistance, and my nail tech actually had to beg her to just cut and even the nails. At one point, a comment was made implying we didn't need to be served again, which was completely inappropriate. This experience had nothing to do with price or time. I booked the correct service, clearly explained my expectations in advance, and was willing to pay. The issue was the combative attitude, refusal to perform reasonable services, and lack of professionalism--especially toward a child. Overall, the experience was stressful, unpleasant, and far below what I would expect from a professional nail salon. I would not return based on how this visit was handled. I will say after being told that my nails are gonna come out looking horrible because of what I was requesting they look fantastic and Giselle did a good job spike give me pushback in the in the beginning I would come back and see her, but I don't feel like I'm welcome the person that did. My daughter's nails was the rudest most unprofessional person I've ever met and was talking about me in Spanish as if I didn't understand her to my daughter. read more

I am a big fan of Bloombar! I think they do a great job with nails, and it is such a cute spot. They recently renovated it is larger and even cuter. They do a great job on nails and have such a large variety of colors to choose from. You can schedule your appointment online and you can view reviews from different people and choose which you want, depending on what time is available. I've been coming here for about three months now, and they consistently do a fantastic job on my nails. The salon has a great atmosphere, and everything is kept very clean. I also appreciate that the staff uses mics to communicate with the front desk--it's so much more professional than shouting. Edit// After writing this, a separate owner reached out to me and apologised for the entire situation, I was told this should have never happened in the first place and given a full refund. I hope in my next visit I don't run into any issues as I do like the final nails I walked out with. I know this is a new salon so I wish the best that they get things running much much smoother, as this was not. If I attend again with no issues, I would feel comfortable rating this higher for sure. I went to this place today, as a walk in, and the experience started extremely well. However, I originally asked for gelx or dip with tips and was convinced to do 'gel builder' because it would be better for my nails, I showed a photo multiple times of long almond nails that I said I wanted, and it was not explicitly stated that 'gel builder' would not be including length add on. Generally an overlay is stated as an overlay, and anything including the word 'builder' would build on to length, like a polygel. They were also referred to as a set when I asked about pricing, and a set of nails refers to tips. Immediately, the nail tech and receptionist began choosing colors for the nail design, that I ensured and asked explicitly if they could do. The colors that were chosen were not nearly as vibrant as the photo, but I was ensured they would look more similar to the photo when the design was on my nails. About an hour into the service(which was extremely painful, and I have never experienced pain even close to that level from a nail service), I was asked by the nail tech if my nails were good, they has no length added and they were square. I was confused and the receptionist was brought over again. She apologised and said she didn't realise I didn't know 'gel builder' didn't add length, however I was told there was nothing I could do because the overlay was already done. The owner was brought into the conversation and I asked again if I could still add tips, I was told that it would ruin my nails but it was possible if I paid for BOTH SERVICES. I have been to many nail salons and I have NEVER been asked to pay for two separate services, especially if one service was not even completed, as the color was never added on. I was told if I wanted to start from scratch I would need to pay for the gel builder, soak off(of the gel builder), gelx, and my design-- totalling to around $150, when I was originally told my total would be much less than $100. I felt like I had no choice, as I had already wasted an hour of my time, and do not have a car to easily move to a new nail salon, so I begrudgingly agreed. However, I don't feel I should have been put into this situation in the first place, especially as the gel builder service was described very vague and incorrectly. The gelx set was done well but when the color started getting added, it still did not look anything like the photo. It was a much more muted, neutral tone. I was getting "aura nails", and when the inside color was being added, it was not visible as the contrast between the colors did not pop. I ended up switching the color, that was chosen for me originally, again, and the entire time I felt laughed at by many of the staff members for how specific I was being. But I was paying $150 at this point, so there was no chance I would leave with nails I did not like. Overall, I do not dislike the nails I ended up with, but the customer service is not good, and the price was insane for what I got. I should not be expected to pay over double what I was quoted because the new service promoted to me was not explained correctly. My nails also do not look anything like the photo, color wise, so I would not recommend going to this place if you have a specific set in mind. I was given a 20% discount because they felt bad I had to pay more, but my total still ended up, before tip and tax, well over $100. And I was also told the discount was allowed because I was a student, so I am still unsure if I should have been offered this discount from the start. The staff definitely wanted me to like the final product, and allowed me to give input, but I can't get over the fact that I paid for two seperate sets because the first one was not described to me correctly. I maybe could have asked further about this, but I couldn't tell if I was overthinking how outlandish it was until I told other friends about it, that also had mirror experiences being pushed into trying gel builder at this specific nail lounge. read more

I love Bloombar but DONT GO TO YESSIKA. She destroyed my toes and managed to completely botch a regular white pedicure. I've never been in so much pain or had a nail tech make my toes bleed so much. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I came in for a routine fill like I had in the past. After a week, I noticed under my nail was bright green. It turns out I had a "greenie" caused by moisture getting under the acrylic due to an improperly filled acrylic. When I went in to show them and let them know because I was very alarmed, they were extremely defensive and rude. I came in simply to get a better understanding of what it was and for other people's safety. They completely tried to blame it on me and said I hit my nail and how it happens all the time. Holy Bloombar, this experience was scary. I went here to get some glittery natural nails and was immediately greeted with "oh you're being charged extra for that...". I tried showing the lady (bleach blonde, not sure her name) my image and she immediately snapped with "we have no time for that, you didn't clarify you wanted it online". I'm sorry but your website had no option for that. She began grinding away at my nails harshly, nearly causing a bleed on my cuticles (btw, my friend left with 4 nails bleeding profusely on the same day). She went so hard at removing my previous manicure that her nail buffer went flying out of her hands more than once. She left a speck of color from my prior manicure but otherwise, I'm shocked my nails turned out pretty despite the painful experience (mentally and emotionally). I was also charged extra for my soak off and was given dip after asking for gel. That lady was so adamant on making sure all the services I received were paid for rather than making sure I was comfortable and getting the nails I wanted. The salon was pretty but this lady had no patience or accommodation. I simply asked for some glitter on two of my nails but got a firm "no!". The service and mani pedi quality from when the store first opened until now has gone from 5 to 2 stars. Multiple cuticle cuts and shellac application was uneven and began peeling after 5 days. Since children's services were offered on the menu I also made my 5 year old an appointment. I would not recommend this salon for children this young. She was uncomfortable the entire time since her feet did not reach the pedicure basin and her manicure was serviced on the high top counter while she sat on the tall stools. Can't speak for other services, but do not do Dip powder here. I have been getting Dip for a while in my home state. I can go 3-4 weeks and have major nail growth with Dip and no chipping of my nails or the Dip. Within 12 hours of getting this done at Bloombar, the Dip popped off. I was on vacation so not doing anything strenuous with my hands. I called and Susan said she would have them redone. They did redo 2 nails, but then within 48 hours, all but 2 nails had chips. My daughter also had it done and all her nails chipped as well. I asked about them doing a base coat while it was being applied as the place I usually go to does that. They didn't know what that meant so it's no wonder the chips happened. We're out a bit of $ between us. We don't want to go back here even to get the others repaired. Not worth our time. read more

DO NOT get Yully. She was disrespectful since I came in; I went for a gel pedicure and she filed my toe nails down so bad, that I was bleeding. I'm not a dramatic person either. I have been coming here for 2 years now, and every time I am nothing more than disappointed. It's cheap and close to my house. I have never been in so much pain during a relaxing thing. Honestly I've given them the benefit of the doubt but I've wasted too much Money at this place to ever come back here again...this is the second time that I go and end up with cuts all over my fingers from how much skin they pull out. I had one girl give me a pedicure and she straight up didn't even clean under my toe nails correctly that the next place I got my toes done at told me i couldve gotten a really bad infection.
