Scammers. Selling lemons they purchase at auto auctions then will try to reposs these cars for various reasons to try to collect deficiency balances. I have filed in court against them for Breach of contract amongst other things. One of their current or previous employees reached out to me either as a fishing expedition or to acknowledge they are running an unethical business. Screenshots attached. It's hard to say because some of his statement was omitting key details or diluted with things he could have misinterpreted about my particular situation. Including statements that I was posting particular things & bringing up accusations about insurance that were assumptions. Also they filed their business name under a different fictitious name in the state of Arkansas which is odd. I purchased my car from JDByrider in Denver and moved to Arkansas to care for my mother. The VW dealership here wanted to charge me $3,000, which I don't have, for a new transmission. I contacted the Denver location and they assured me they would take care of me. The two different franchises worked together to get my car fixed and shared a financing option for the uncovered repairs. I can't express enough how kind, respectful and knowledgeable these two dealerships are. It's been a bit of a rough go of it here and I was in tears when I found out I will even get my car back today. To Byrider or whom it may concern. This a public notice of an attempt to collect a debt from Byrider of Sherwood AR in the amount of $2000.00 or provide a remedy. This money was given to you as a deposit for a 2008 GMC Yukon on or around October 27 2020. On October 27, Someone called Marcus and Jessica Porter to come down to your lot in sherwood to purchase a 2008 GMC Yukon. We told them we only had $2000 down. We were called on the way down and told the $2000 would only be part of the amount down and that the rest would be deferred. Sadly we were already there because we only lived 2 miles away. When we got inside. You apologized and said the salesman was kind of new and that you would accept our deposit. After a short test drive we went on to do paperwork and were told the vehicle had been Inspected and that it was fit for delivery. We filled out the contracts and even accepted your delayed payment arrangement for the extra down payment of $1450.00 to be split and paid over the next 30 days. Over the next 2 weeks we are smelling radiator fluid and seeing increasingly expanding fluid on a 3 year old unstained driveway. On the beginning of the 3rd week we reached out to your service department and eventually the service manager responded because our call had not been return. We were told to bring the vehicle in. On today November 17, 2020, we were told the 2008 Yukon had more than one hose leaking that runs from the heater cord to the back seats of the truck. Your technician admitted it was not possibly our fault and that it would take more than a day or so fix the vehicle. We at this time realized you also made us sign an agreement that you would not offer a loaner and that you will still be expecting half of the $1450.00 ( $725) deferred deposit by this friday November 20, 2020 or we will have to forfeit our $2000.00 and you will keep the truck. DON'T BUY HERE!!! They are sneaky and pull you in to sour deals. My car was totaled out by the insurance company. The insurance check hasn't been sent to them yet, not my fault, but yet they want me to keep the account current, BUT I HAVE NO CAR! This crappy company reported this to the credit bureaus as a repossession. But I have a total out letter. Brook, who runs the place, knows the car is totaled but says my account is past due. HOW?! Better Bureau Business will be hearing from me, possibly my lawyer. Bad enough Im injured but this dropped my credit score. Pay in a totaled car! I thought I was being punked. I purchased my truck from this location nearly 3 years ago. My truck has been excellent! I have put close to 90k miles on the truck and have only had to do minor and very reasonable repairs. My purchasing experience was quite painless and the sales staff and CNAC employees have been great. As far as the initial sale and the quality of my truck I give them a solid 5 stars. My issues have not been with my vehicle and had nothing to do with the purchasing process. As I said above, the quality of my truck would get 5 stars and the purchasing experience would get 5 stars. My issues have been with the services promised to me with the purchase of my vehicle and the fact that the service department makes it nearly impossible to make this happen. One of the main reasons I decided to purchase the truck from them instead one of the many other places I was shopping was because they offered free oil changes if you set your payments up to be automatically withdrawn from your bank account. After the first month I decided I was going to go ahead and set up the auto-withdrawal so it would be ready for my first oil change. The following month I returned for my first free oil change. Well someone in the payments department made a mistake the prior month so I had to call in a card payment. Because of their mistake I had to pay for my oil change. Hmmm...Okay I guess not that big of a deal. The next time I came in for my oil change it went just fine and I got it done. Since that oil change, I have visited this location anywhere from 15-20 times all on different days, and have been give some type of excuse as to why it couldn't be done. I eventually just stopped trying to get it done there for well over a year which means I have spent hundreds of dollars that was supposed to be covered with my purchase. Today I finally decided to try it again. I got in there a few minutes after 3:30 and was told that they stop doing oil changes at 3:30. Actually I was told that you get a very inconvenient 2 hour time frame to get it done in the morning, and a very inconvenient 2 hour time frame to get it done in the evening. I'm sitting somewhere else right now, paying for yet another oil change that should have been free, and can't help feeling like I was lied to and cheated out of hundreds of dollars. I live my truck and I'm happy I have it. I'm just very unhappy with the lack of fulfillment of our agreed upon terms. read more
