I can't give 5 stars only because I never ordered anything. However, I was looking around for a place that could replace a 2020 kia telluride key and would charge the crazy $800-900 the dealer asked. He got back to me quickly with a quote and was extremely kind-friendly. Lucky for me, my mother somehow ended up with my key in her pocketbook (children I assume) so I did not need his services. However, I will be referring him to anyone because of his professionalism and will use if I ever need something in this area in the future. read more

Needed to get a Volkswagen Key cut for a 2012 Jetta. No other locksmith in town had the machine to do it. This shop was the only one who had the equipment and expertise to do the job. Like all of you on Yelp I read reviews of places and businesses because you want to make sure where you are spending your hard earned money is worth it. Well I can honestly say that if you are in need of a locksmith Joe Franco is your guy. He is the REAL DEAL. I needed back up key fobs for my sons Jeep and he took care of me with real OEM Jeep keys with programming and cutting of the key for a better price than Jeep wants just for you to buy the key fob itself. I went to his shop on a Sat morning and walked out a satisfied customer with, not one but two sets of new keys for my sons Jeep for less than what Jeep wanted for just one key. Let me tell you this guy is s life saver called him needed help getting in a door he arrived in 2 to.3 minutes no lie and fixed the job 1 and let's talk about the prices everybody quoted 100 and more not him he is the greatest I go know where else. This was the best experience I've ever had with a locksmith. I was out of town and needed someone to come out because I had an issue with my car keys. I tried the dealer and the price was reasonable but I would have had to tow the vehicle to them to reprogram my keys so with me being out of town, that wasn't an option. I came across this shop on Google and honestly, Joe was a God send. He was there when he said he would be, he was courteous, kept me informed through the whole process and was extremely fast. When he checked the car, the ignition was a part of the problem, he fixed it, reprogrammed 2 keys and was done in less than two hours. All for the same price as one dealer key and the towing charge. Imagine if I had to get the ignition fixed at the dealer. I usually don't write reviews, not good ones anyway but I needed to write this one. Thanks for the experience. I'll definitely recommend you to my friends and family of the get in a bind. read more

The off-Long Island Ave store is a hidden gem! When I couldn't get my 2018 Kia key made anywhere else (no special cuts or lasering or chip needed; just a basic key, albeit, off-sized, for most, typical, hardware/lumber stores, et al., that I wanted to keep in my wallet, in case I accidentally locked myself out with the chip key), Joe looked up the key, found it in his ample stock, and cut it in about 15 seconds. It was just $5 (yes, more expensive than most hardware stores, but, again, they don't carry all key types; only the most common key types, which, at least for cars, are becoming too high-tech and too expensive for those kinds of stores), and, when I tried it on my door, it fit, perfectly! (how many times have you had a key made, either manually or machine cut, only to have to force it into the lock the first time or two, and/or have to fiddle with it to make it work, and/or have to return it for adjustment or replacement?) Despite his being very busy, he was very personnable, friendly, non-patronizing, and did exactly as I had requested! We even had a friendly conversation for a couple of minutes! My future key business will be with Joe Franco! Look for the sidewalk sign at the corner of LI Ave and Conklin St, just a block east of Deer Park Ave, one store north of the corner. read more

I responded no thank you I will go elsewhere. Went to another local locksmith and got the key for 4.99 plus tax! Besides being a rip off they put there stickers on every commercial door! I pealed the ones off my door and within days they put new ones up. I called them and asked them to STOP putting stickers on my door, but they repeatedly continued to put them on our doors. I would encourage everyone to go elsewhere.

I was very lucky to find Joe to help me with my vehicle. I called because I lost my only key, and Joe was very investigative with my specific issue as well as communicative up until way after work hours. Joe was able to help me the very next day and accommodated me for when I would be available. Once getting into the locked vehicle, he realized the electric was completely dead (I didn't know it had died, although this has happened before and it was very annoying). In the fuse box, he wasn't sure which wire controlled the navigation system/electric because the compartment door with the labeling on it had broken off (of course). Well, he didn't give up and utilized several resources to identify the wire that needed to be replaced. He figured it out and replaced it with a new wire and now the electric is perfect in my car. SUPER grateful for that. Then he was able to do what he charged very fairly for, which was make me a brand new key fob and physical key. Cheapest price for a replacement I found online, and by FAR the BEST VALUE. Thank you so much, Joe. I recommend him to everyone. read more

I needed a new car key made due to my pocketbook being stolen with with my keys inside. I called a couple of places in my area (I live in bayshore) and this company had the best prices by far! No comparison. I explained that I had no way to get to them to pick up the keys and the gentleman offered to drop them off to me on his way back from a job. Have only had one experience with this company so far and am very pleased with the service. I had a broken key that I urgently needed copied. When I called they were closed and walking out the door.
