The owner was incredibly rude to me. He was sitting in a truck outside the store and watched me walk in. I was in there alone for a good 6-7 minutes before he decided to stroll in. He walked in with no "hello" or anything like that it was "what do you need?". I told him I needed a key copied. He took the original from me, copied it and rang me up. Not a single word spoken. Plus almost $10 to copy a basic key. I'm sure there are a million other places to help with your key and lock needs. Go there instead. read more

I came in to have some keys copied. Simple job. After he cut the keys, I visually inspected them and could see the pattern was not the same. He gave me a big song and dance and assured me they were done right. They did not work. I went back and asked for a refund, which he refused to give, and said he would fix the keys. He also commended that he knew he should have cut them differently at the time. I pointed out that I told him at the time, they did not look right, and once again he gave me an argument and blamed the lock company. He was arrogant and argumentative and never once apologized. Maybe the keys will work this time but I will never go back here and urge you not to as well. The price was acceptable if they had worked. read more

I cannot say enough about the quality Craftsmanship and knowledge of the staff at B&B, I was in a unique situation with my homes front door which only opens with a turn of the key and the key broke. Absolute incompetence. Won't quote cost till after work is completed, poorly (technically I was NEVER even given a quote!) Prices change weekly on a whim, $4.50 to cut a key one day, $8.15 10 days later and that's with them cutting key blanks I supplied them! No calls to let you know work is supposedly done. I called to check after not hearing back for a few days, wasnt given a straight answer as to progress and never got a call at all. I had to walk back in after a week and half to check. Dont bother with this place unless you want an endless story on the history of the key and lock you bring in, what years they were used, who invented it, what they ate for lunch the day they did, how long they stood on line at the patent office, the name of the first burglar to ever successfully pick said lock.....instead of them just giving a quote and doing the work. Pray you never need to use them if you're locked out of your house or car. Would be faster and cheaper just to buy a new car and move to a new house.... read more

THIS IS MY STORY: So I lost one my vehicles remote keys I went to two separate Auto Dealers to have this key replaced both Dealers had to order the key (2-5 Days ) and I would have to schedule an appointment for it to be programmed, my estimated cost / fees were approximately ($325.00 + Tax) at either dealer. So by chance I stopped in at my towns local locksmith (B&B) they were able to make me a basic chip key right away for my vehicle which the dealers did not even offer. Unfortunately B&B didn't have in stock the version of remote key that I needed as well, so it had to be ordered. Within two business days my key arrived and Rory from B&B notified me, later that afternoon I went to have it programmed and the bill / cost was over 20% cheaper than the dealer estimates. B&B GOING THE EXTRA MILE: So Rory at B&B insisted on reprogramming my vehicles computer and all my keys with a new number so this vehicle would only identify those keys in case the lost key was found, it would be rendered useless and unable to be used. Thank you I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND: B&B Lock Technicians Inc. If you want keys cut that work correctly without having to return them my advice is use this locksmith. I found them to be friendly, respectful as well as very knowledgeable. They seem to stock a large assortment of keys for just about anything you could need a key for, as well as vehicle chip keys and remotes. Rory is the best in the business. I bought an old Explorer and key I had only worked the ignition and rear hatch. I thought I needed another key made for the driver & passenger door. I pulled the driver's side cylinder and took it to B&B and left it with Rory. He called me an hour later. He was honest enough to let me know he didn't need to take apart the cylinder. All that was needed was some lubricant. The cylinder was working with the ignition key I already had! Since I had the Explorer with me, he shot lubricant in to the passenger side and in no time that cylinder was working as well. Rory didn't want to charge me anything {but of course I gave him some beer money}. What you get from Rory is knowledge, honesty and a fair price. You can't ask for any more than that! read more

Excellent shop! The owner is full of knowledge, and just listening to him speak I knew I was in good hands. I purchased a 94 civic and they key was so worn (the only one given to me) that I couldn't start the car anymore. I provided the VIN # and a flawlessly working key was remanufactured. A week later I returned to have two more keys made for the car because I was so pleased with the work! I have a Hummer H2 and the last key got broken and we called a few different locksmiths and I was receiving story after story about how tough and expensive it would be to fix, until today, when I found B & B Locksmith Technicians in Farmingdale, NY. We called and Mr. Rory answered the phone, and he asked a few questions, and specifically asked if we still had the broken key. He said, "Bring it to me." The GMC dealership had previously told us that they weren't able to do anything with a broken key and wanted to tow our vehicle to their dealership. So we decided to visit Mr. Rory at B & B Locksmith Technicians with our broken key in hand. We gave him the key and the VIN and he created a key within less than 5 minutes.
