This was around 8pm, brewery was empty except 1 other patron, brewmaster, singer, and barmaid. No wait for service therefore, I wanted to sample the jalapeño beer. Upon initial sip, you taste jalapeño but the aftertaste is definitely sour pickle w a slight burn, later on it gave slight heartburn. The Carolina Reaper beer which is spicy and hot was available but the taps would have to be reconnected. The bar maid explained that it burned going in and out so I declined. The seating appeared to more outside than in, a few tables, cushion seats, and a pew was visible inside. Stage for open mic night, the singer was one man, Johnny Cash-type country voice. I'm not a big beer drinker as use to be but there are distinct flavors here that can be explored. Laid back atmosphere.

You can go to the Belgian, or spa, or stout, or sour, etc. etc. section and find a good variety of choices... I occasionally stop by to pick up boxed wines since my grocery store seems to run out... It's not crowded and the have decent prices, so it's a good dependable place to go. On the liquor side, I find that the offer good advice on a variety of spirits. I've been in looking for some more expensive Bourbons, or Ryes for birthday gift and they have managed to keep me happy. Some stuff that's hard to get is just not going to be anywhere, but they have made suggestions for alternatives that I have been happy with. Definitely a got to go place.

They have several high top tables and seating at the bar. They also have board games if you want to play games with your friends while hanging out. The bar tender was nice and friendly with good service. They have a lot of beers and ciders on tap and along with a large variety of beers and ciders in bottles and cans. I highly recommend Brews in Main if you want a relaxing place to grab a beer and hang out.

Our waiter was engaging, energetic, and fun! He was super cool and very attentive, we never lacked for anything! The food was delish, per usual! In order of favorites of this evening: the venison, the cobia, then the mussels not that we had a hard time eating any of it, it was all so tasty! We have been a few places and I wondered how a place with 5 stars with only 11 reviews could leave me so excited about returning for my next visit. The Duck- a favorite of my husband's. Cooked to perfection and served with rice that could have stood well on its own but a delightful pairing. Crab Cakes - I took my first bite and hoped hubby wanted to make a deal that he would enjoy the duck if I wanted to keep the crab cakes. The right amount of everything including flavor served on a bed of a corn and parm mixture with a salsa al verde sauce. Special- Mahi Mahi served with a yellow sauce, cornbread and bok choi. The entire dish... I was sad when I arrived finding out their previous fish special was no longer available but this special made me forget about it until writing this review. Just as with the other meal, the cornbread was so perfect it could have stood on its own. Lastly we ordered the Pork Belly Mussels. They are great for sharing and I was told they are one of the top menu items. The bread that came with which was perfect for dipping in the cream sauce was also exceptional. We will be back and I expect this place to continue to be.... Outstanding!
