Earle Street kitchen and bar located on, wait for it, Earle Street in downtown Anderson. We went for brunch on a Sunday, no reservations unless party of 10. We all chose buffet, this day was chicken & waffle, ham, fried chicken, roast beef, Salisbury steak, salad, squash casserole, biscuit, collard greens, black eyed peas, omelette made-to-order, peach cobbler, banana pudding, chocolate cake. The food was magnificent especially omelette at price point of $20.95. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Anderson, come visit yourself

I love their specialty cocktails, and scratch made food! Music is good and the desserts are amazing, especially the caramel cheesecake! Yummy!

We've been a few times now and I'm just now getting around to writing a review. Being from Atlanta, this is a spot that would do very well in the Atlanta foodie scene. The food is outstanding! I meant to review it the first couple of times we went but I'm almost glad I didn't so I can speak to it's consistently great food and service. The interior is decorated with really fun and vibrant artwork. The patio is under a bridge so it stays and cool even on warmer days where the sun would typically be beating down in a way umbrellas could never. Definitely check this place out if you haven't. Whether you're looking for something simple like a burger or dishes that rival 5 star dining, you'll find it here; so good in fact you may even want to kiss the chef!

This was a first-time visit after searching for restaurants in Anderson, S.C. While I know Anderson fairly well, I was looking for a new place to try out. Earle Street Kitchen & Bar did not disappoint. Started with the Fried Pickles. I am a fan of fried pickles but prefer sliced pickles to spears. The fried pickles served here are spears, so Earle Street had that hurdle to overcome. They definitely succeeded. The spears were medium-sided and held the light coat of breading fairly well. Not perfect, but enough not to be a major issue. The sauce served with them paired well with the pickles. Despite my preference for sliced fried pickles, I would have no problem ordering these again. The dinner menu has a few things that look interesting to me, but for my first visit I chose the Shrimp & Grits. According to the description on the menu, this dish consists of "three cheese grits topped with a creole cream sauce, blackened Mahi Mahi and shrimp, fresh tomatoes and scallions." This is another risky choice for me. I am a culinary school graduate and have always boasted that my shrimp and grits was the best there is. I actually think I like these better. First, the eye appeal to this dish is amazing. The colors pop, and the items are arranged thoughtfully. Because of this, I immediately grabbed my phone for a picture (posted below). The grits are well balanced in flavor and have a perfect grits consistency (Which is somewhere midway between runny and firm. Anyone who is a true grits fan knows what I am talking about.). They are cheesy but not overbearingly so. The six medium-sized shrimp were seasoned and grilled perfectly, as was the three pieces of mahi-mahi. I admit I did miss the andouille sausage which is common for this dish but the combination of shrimp and white fish was a very interesting take on this Low Country (South Carolina) classic dish. For dessert I had the salted caramel cheesecake. This was the only part of the meal I thought was lacking. Was it good... yes. Was it as good as the first two courses? Therein lies the problem. It seems dessert (at least the cheesecake) is an afterthought, most likely not made in-house like the rest of the dishes I sampled. Honestly, I thought the salt and caramel flavors were muted in this dish. Maybe other dishes on the dessert menu are made in-house and would be better... but definitely not this cheesecake. I would probably skip dessert in the future because I do not want a letdown after such an amazing entrée. Even though it fell short of my expectation, I chose not to deduct a point for the dessert. Let's talk about service. We were fortunate enough to get Gracie B as our server and she proved to be at the top of her game. She was knowledgeable about the menu, never left us wanting, and has a very pleasant personality as well. Gracie is truly an asset to this restaurant and anyone who dines there would be lucky to have her wait their table. Will I return? I really do not think this question needs to be answered. The only real question remaining is, "What will I order as my entrée next time?"

Go here for the BEST craft cocktails!! Had a snickerdoodle martini and it blew-my-mind! Seriously the best cocktail ever! So refreshing and tasty! Loved the country fried chicken and green beans too and ate the extras for breakfast. Very generous portion and prices! Cool vibe and place with a lot of space and hidden back room great for large parties! Good service and no extra automatic fee for a large party.

Amazing little gem in Anderson, SC. Came here from North Georgia for a dinner with a work colleague. We came right at 4pm when they opened for dinner and closed the place down. We had 3 course meal. * Shrimp and Grits - very good and over all very flavorful, yet my mahi mahi was on the smaller size. * Jalapeño corn was superb * Herb Salmon is a must eat * Peach Cobbler was everything, warm, gooey, and the best thing to close out our meal. They also have a catering/ events hall. Staff was perfectly attentive and water was always full. The decor is very fitting and they also have outside seating under the highway bridge.

The whole trying to get out of the sun was a thing. They have some seating indoors, and some seating under a roof . Everything else is outside with no cover whatsoever. There appeared to be a sun shade that could be pulled over the seating area but perhaps I was wrong because surely they would have utilized the sun shade if it were available. I think because they were very busy the manager ( from NJ) was harder to deal with than usual ( don't know as I've never been there) on the ride up in the elevator the people getting in said " Good Luck" to us . The waiter and host were very nice but apparently anytime a guest tried to get seated out of the sun the manager sounded very irritated. Anyway.... On to the food : I am extremely gluten sensitive. So far no stomach issues and it's been a couple of hours. We had a charcuterie board that was delicious. The only gluten were pencil breadsticks. I ate cheese and grapes and pickled okra. It was very fresh and good. I had the fresh trout meal which included creamed corn and a few baby grilled carrots. There were two pieces. It was really tasty . They have one gluten free desert : strawberry shortcake type deal. Almond cake with strawberry confiet. It was really delicious. The head chef is gluten free so I felt safe eating there. My other family members had a breakfast burrito and chicken lettuce wraps. They both seemed to enjoy their meals. I will most probably give it another shot on a non holiday to see if they have more luck with finding another coffee press ( they apparently were all in use or they truly just had one?) and to see if seating of your choice is more accommodated.
