MOST DISHONEST SHOP I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!!!! Brought my car in for a new radiator but the sales guy suggest doing a flush instead. I agreed and after it was done I came, Paid and went to drive my car out of there parking lot. AND NO POWER STEERING. I went into there lobby and a guy came out and looked it over. But because it was the end of the day they said they would need to figure it out tomorrow. I got a call saying my power steering pump went out. He stated power steering pumps go out all of the time which is absolutely not true. I had to pay them $1100.00 to replace the pump just to be able to drive it off of there lot. The car drove like garbage after that so I took it back to them. And it also was still over heating. So the flush did nothing. They told me that all it needs is a alignment and that I need to take it someplace else. Making it clear that they were done with me. I took it to Firestone. FIRST THING THEY TOLD ME WAS THE FRONT STRUTS WERE SLAMMED SO HARD THAT THEY WERE LOCKED UP. AND THE RACK AND PINION WAS DAMAGED AND NOT FUNCTIONING RIGHT. $5000.00 quote to fix. So my best guess is that J-Mac radiator dropped the front end of my vehicle of the lift or whatever they use. Locking up the struts and blowing out the entire steering system. THEN LEAVING IT IN THE PARKING LOT AS IF NOTHING IS WRONG FOR ME TO PICKUP. THEY DENIED EVERYTHING!!! But I called with a recording app on my phone and was told that the steering went out while they were on the test drive. PROVING THE CAR WAS FINE WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. Before J-Mac tries to deny or say my claim is false. I have receipts for all of this. I tried small claims court but this happened summer of 2020 during covid and the courts were closed. I tried to sue again later but still during covid I was told by the courts that the only way to sue was to get notarized documents to submit through there window. So I gave up. If the owner of J-Mac radiator would like to make this right. I would be willing to talk and bring all my receipts. Especially the receipt I paid for the flush. Then the receipt I paid a day later for a new power steering pump just to be able to drive it off of the lot. read more

5 STAR .... Called Jason Thursday before they closed .... I was an hour away and he got me in Friday 8 am. Found the only house in the SLC area, got it installed and had me out of there by 5pm. The crew pulled through and I'm very appreciative for the professionalism. read more

This is the second time I've taken my 2002 4-Rnr. in for repairs. The first time was for a radiator replacement. This time it was the a/c was blowing hot air. Both times they were very honest with me, fixing the problems quickly, and they charged me a reasonable price. I will return in the future for any repairs needed on my vehicle. read more

Took them four days longer than they told me, they did crappy work the lower radiator hose is kinked I'll upload some pictures in a minute. They also didn't put the battery cables back right. I don't know how they're still in business read more

Where is a good place to get radiators rebuilt? I took it to j-macs and they failed! After $500.00 it still leaks. I am 2 hour round trip from this shit show! Three trips so far, hope one day they can figure out how to do there job! Decided to take my '96 Bronco here for a quick cooling system check before an upcoming 5 hour trip...it's first in 9 years (and with 176,000 miles on the odometer, I don't want to take any chances.) Walked in and met with Ryan McKenna and Jason Broadwell, and they assigned Colton to do the work for me. Colton did a complete check of my cooling system, including a full pressure check, belt, and hose inspection...and all was well! Colton even replaced an aging Stant brand pressure-release lever radiator cap with a brand new 13-psi standard pressure cap from CSF. All this was FREE! So I will defiantly go back to J-MAC for my future radiator work...and especially when I get my old radiator hoses replaced with some nice new blue silicone hoses from Continental Elite (formerly Goodyear), #5003! My elderly father took his car in for a routine radiator flush, and came out with an engine that was no longer functioning. Granted, an aging car, but one tip top machine whose maintenance was conducted like clock work by my father who is a master mechanic (he just doesn't have the facilities to do radiator flushes like he use to). I needed to get my water pump replaced on my Camry. I called around and decided to take it to J-mac, because they gave me a very reasonable quote. When I arrived I was pleased with the level of service I received. The waiting area was very comfortable and clean. When they completed the job the total bill was actually less than what I was quoted, which is extremely rare when it comes to servicing my vehicles. They also gave me a courtesy check on the other components/systems of my vehicle. The entire process was very seamless, I experienced nothing but professionalism. A few days ago, my car started doing something funky. I drove it around for a few days thinking, "Maybe it will go away." Unfortunately, it didn't. I was reluctant to take it to a mechanic because, let's be honest, mechanics have a reputation for taking advantage of those that don't know much about cars. On the recommendation of a friend, I made an appointment to have my car looked at by J-Mac. I was a little wary that the employees might try to sell me a bunch of things I didn't need once they found out what was wrong with my car. But, the employees were respectful and worked quickly. They didn't try to sell me "blinker fluid" if you know what I mean. I really appreciated how honest they were about the cost of repairs and parts. I own a 98 toyota camry that I needed to get registered. The emissions test wasn't passing so I was told I had to take it to a mechanic. After my friend's mechanic couldn't schedule me, I looked on yelp and this was the first place that popped up. The other users seem to like it so I gave it a shot. The service was very nice. They have a clean waiting area and a professional staff. They fixed my car just in time for me to register it and bring it home. They even called to check up on how it was doing a few weeks later. I would highly recommended J-Mac if you need to get any car services done. I was also told by a few other friends that I paid a really fair price for the work done on my car. Summer family road trip from California, and when filling up in SLC smoke started billowing out from under the hood. I quickly looked up YELP to find a garage to fix the issue. I phoned 3 mechanics and although J-MAC was not the cheapest, they were the most reputable with the best customer service. I made a reservation to get me in next day, they meet me with a smile. Put my car on the rack and explained to me in detail what the issue was and how long it would take to repair. I ended up sitting at the badass café across the street and car was fixed sooner than promised. All I have to say is thank you for the great customer service and not gouging me because I'm in from out of town. 5 stars for being an awesome and honest shop. read more

I took my 2001 Dodge RAM 1500 to J-MAC because the a/c stopped working. I told them I thought the a/c compressor was bad (because it was blowing hot air, and there was a noise coming from my engine compartment). And that I thought the blower motor was probably bad. because it was working at about 1/2 capacity. I dropped it off Thursday night, and called back the next day around 10am. The tech said "Good news on the compressor, it was just a 0.99 cent fuse." He needed my authorization for $90 labor to tear into the blower motor. I authorized the work. Told him it had been blowing leaves and all kinds of junk into the cab. He said, "I'm glad you told me that". They called back an hour or so later and reported that the blower motor was fine. They just had to clean out all the leaves and other debris. It's working like brand new! I will definitely go back. read more

Took my RV in earlier this week with leaking coolant afraid and braced I'd be having to have major radiator repairs. Turns out I only had to replace the radiator cap and they tightened a clamp on one of the hoses to fix the problem. I usually bring my van into the dealership for maintenance, but when they quoted me $199 for front brake repair, I decided to check around to see if I could get a better deal. A friend recommended JMAC Car Care. I took my van down there and was greeted right away, and they were so nice to me and very professional. The quote was $60 less than my dealership. They took care of it right then and I even got a Thank You card in the mail a few days later. I will definitely come in again for my rear brakes when needed! read more

These guys are "the good guys." My car battery has been begging to be replaced. I brought in a battery to have them replace it and even though all their garages were full- they did the replacement right then. It took less than 10 minutes. (Bad ass coffee co. is right next door- lucky me) When I went in to pay- the guy said "don't worry about it. Just Remember us next time." Really?!?! That made my day!! Will never go back. Took my car in to have the AC repaired. A couple of days after they "repaired" it, it started acting up again. When I went back and spoke to the manager about the issue he told me it wasn't there problem. At this point they should have taken my car in right away since my initial problem had not been fixed. Instead the manager told me if I wanted them to look at it again I would have to schedule an appointment. It is a pretty poor business model when a company does not stand by their work. My fellow yelpers I seem to be ruffling some feathers. I had written a review for JMAC that was less then appealing because although my experience was fine I didn't feel that they wanted me to come back since I gave them all my information for a customer card and never received one. Well after posting my review I received a call from Mike at JMAC wanting to fix the problem. He was very polite and I applaud them for wanting to make the customer feel like they were important to the business which was my initial problem. However when the secretary called to confirm she would fix the problem she ended by asking me to delete my review. Now if a company is fixing the mistake they made of corse I would rewrite my review. I probably would have given them more stars but to me that comment says to me that JMAC cares about the review they get not the customer. Never did they say anything like I hope you come back, I hope we see you again, or even I hope this changes your opinion of us. It was all about how they fixed the problem so now I need to delete my review. I review on yelp honestly so people have a good idea what to expect, and for the second time I was greatly let down by this company. Truth be told I commend them for trying to fix the problem but not if it is just to get a better review, they should care about their customers and again I must write I won't be going back! read more

We absolutely love these guys. We took our truck in to have the air conditioning rebuilt. After going to Larry H. Miller three separate times they continued to replace only the compressor costing us more each time but were unsuccessful each time and always found an additional something else that they just had to fix. We went to Jmac after spending over $2500 dollars at Larry H. Miller and on one other dealer. J Mac took the time to discover the real problem and their mechanic was knowledgeable. They truly warranted their work and parts not like Larry h. Miller. Also, they gave us all the old parts so we knew what they really replaced and they were $1200 less than the other mechanics I called for quotes. And one more reason they were the best is they had it back to us the next day and its been working like a charm for multiple months. Thanks J Mac. I had a terrible experience at J-Mac Radiator, took my daughters SUV there for a radiator replacement, We asked them to check the entire cooling system as this is her only car and we wanted to make sure it worked well. They replaced the radiator for $419 and said we were "Good to go" with no other problems, two days later the engine is steaming again, returned to JMac, they charged $66.00 for a new radiator hose and said all was well, two days later more cooling problems, returned they said it was probably the water pump and they would change it for $479, we told them we were taking the car elsewhere, they never worked on the vehicle the third time. When we sent a tow truck from the new repair shop they refused to release the vehicle until I paid them $96, they would not tell me what the fee was for. When I complained Jason said "I'm not used to working with someone's Mom" Funny, I'm not used to working with condescending, inept repair shops. Save yourself the stress and do NOT do business with this company, the SUV was repaired by a different shop for $300 as they corrected J-Macs errors. read more

Had problem with my A/C, I made an appointment for 8 AM, dropped off my vehicle that day and I was told I was going to receive a call back with a diagnosis and quote. Did not happen. Called at 3 PM was told they were going to call me back within 10 min, nothing happened. Called again at 4 PM, guy put me on hold, nobody came back on the line. Called again at 4:50 PM was told it was $179.36 and that car would be fixed within 30 min. Got there, they were not even working on my car. Had to wait, got out the door at 6 PM. It took him less than 15 min to "fix" my A/C and charged me almost $180. Not a happy customer, NEVER going back... read more

Son is attending college in Utah. I took my son's Nissan Xterra to JMAC Radiator, dealt with Eric Flores. There was a crack in the radiator that they fixed. A few weeks later while driving on the highway the fan assembly came apart from the radiator and tore apart the fan, fan motor, fan bracket, the serpentine belt, and the belt tensioner. It cost $80 to tow the car and $800 to get it fixed. When I contacted Eric Flores he told me the radiator fan was not removed or touched in any way when they fixed the crack in the radiator and that it was just a coincidence that it broke after the repair they did. read more
