Engine oil hose chewed through by my dog trying to get to a rodent

Worst experience I've ever had at a dealership. I only brought my car to Mark Miller Subaru in Sandy to make sure no other damage had been done after an oil hose was chewed through by my dog trying to get to a rodent. Instead, Matthew Hansen told me my 95k-mile car needed up to $17k in repairs, then offered to "help" by buying it for $600 (saying the dealership would only give $200). He even sent me a staged video of a "leak" and later texted me from his personal phone. I took my car to Doug Smith Subaru instead -- they found none of the issues after the simple hose replacement. My car runs fine. This was manipulative, dishonest, and felt downright criminal. I'll never go back and strongly warn others to stay away.

The mechanic wrote a racist slur in the dust under our hood.

READ THIS FULLY AND LOOK AT THE IMAGE. I would give them -5 stars if I could. ZERO STARS. I should have taken this location's reviews more seriously. The real kicker is that this could have been a 10/10 experience. ALL I NEEDED WAS AN OIL CHANGE. If you can't even do a simple oil change that you OFFER to new customers, what is the point of going through a nice, main dealership like yours? Where to start? I just bought my outback from this dealership and received a punchcard with a few complimentary oil changes. I took it in for the first oil change on 7/11 and they performed that, a multipoint inspection, and tire rotation. I must say, at first, the service mechanic was more or less pleasant, and said he'd have our car done within an hour. At that point, I mentioned my punch card for the complimentary oil change OFFERED BY THEM WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR. His entire demeanor changed IMMEDIATELY. Smile gone, it was a complete 180 on his attitude. He then said that our car would take "a hour or more" So now that I'm using your COMPLIMENTARY card, it's no longer a priority? Before I took my car in, I had ZERO ISSUES. Everything was working great, we JUST needed an oil change. All that to say- after the service our AC DOES NOT WORK. We checked our coolant tank- EMPTY. Completely empty. We called back and tried to take it in but weren't able to get an appointment until today. Even with our appointment today, our coolant tank is still only half full and the AC ISNT WORKING ANY BETTER. They wanted to charge us $400 to have someone run a diagnostic on the AC to figure out what's wrong with it. Considering my car was fine before I took it here, I am 100% convinced they did something to my car so I'd have to bring it back in and pay for that diagnostic. This entire experience has been SO SHADY. Aside from my AC not working anymore, they forgot to put on my caps on two of my tires, so we were running around with two bald tires for a week and a half. Honestly, you are better off taking your car ANYWHERE ELSE. I should have believed the reviews when they said they will make problems for you here so they can fix them. I am VERY disappointed with Sandy Subaru. Furthermore, when they sent us a review for the service, when you fill it out it bounces right back to sender and says the address is not found. They don't want to know what people think and they certainly don't want any future customers to know what you think. I just opened my hood to check it out myself and lo and behold. WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED. And since my photos keep getting censored- the mechanic wrote the full N word under our hood. Not a, not ar, ER. FULL BLOWN N***ER. If you want to support a racist, money hungry group of absolute assholes- take your car here. I'm BLOWN AWAY at the utter incompetence of this place. I will be calling and filing a formal complaint to management about whomever did our service. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR.

Took my 2000 Outback in for an electrical glitch. We received the diagnosis and quote on a Monday morning that it needed a bulk head harness which would run me over $3K. I obviously declined the repair in order to get a second opinion. Another tidbit of information, two of our wheels and tires were stolen over the weekend while the car was in their care. Frustrated with the situation I asked the service writer what my options are. They called me back less than 30 minutes later and told me one of the mechanics would be willing to give $400.00 as is! I'll bet he would given we just put a $1,400.00 stereo in it and have taken exquisite care of it over the past 25 years. Something is going on at Mark Miller Subaru South Towne service and it's not good. Take a look at the before and 4 days after photos. Do you think you want to take your pride and joy in these folks for service? I would strongly recommend against it. Signed, disgruntled customer,,,

They are extremely communicative, timely, honest, and their prices cannot be beaten. After getting my oil changed and alignment at another competing shop, I was told my cabin air filter, right CV axle, and battery, with 76% CCA remaining, needed to be replaced. I called four shops to get quotes for replacing the right CV axle. All of them came in within about 10-20% of each other, except Immaculate. I spoke with Bill at Immaculate, and he quickly provided an exact quote for the right CV axle, which came in at 60% lower than the quoted price from the other shops. He also advised me not to replace the battery, but to get it checked closer to winter. After shopping around, I called Bill back to get a quote using OEM parts, and he happily provided it. This all occurred on Friday, July 3rd, between 2:30 and 4:00 p.m. He also told me he could get my car scheduled for Tuesday. I thought it over the weekend and called Bill on Monday to schedule it for Wednesday. When I brought the car in, I asked them to check and quote several other items in addition to replacing the right CV axle, including two windshield wipers, two tires with mounting, balancing, and rotation, the engine air filter, cabin air filter, and a transmission drain and fill. I made several calls to Bill regarding different tire brands, tire warranties, and other options, and he happily helped every time. He always provided accurate quotes, and if he didn't have an answer, he would find out and call me back. Everything was completed the same day, and Bill brought the total price down to less than the cost of just replacing the CV axle at three other shops. I also had the chance to interact with KC, who happily answered my calls and questions when Bill wasn't available and even performed the tire rotation himself. As someone who grew up in the car business, I've never had a better experience with a service center than this. The combination of honesty, communication, service, pricing, and workmanship is outstanding. I would recommend Immaculate to anybody, including friends and family, without hesitation. I'm also posting this review six weeks later to say that not a single thing has been wrong with my vehicle. It drives like a dream. Thank you to Bill, KC, and the entire Immaculate team for such an exceptional experience. You've earned my business for years to come!

This will be long because these guys deserve a proper review. We were in town from Las Vegas and…read morewere staying in Provo. All the eletrical in our car went out we assumed we needed a battery which is something we change out every few years because Vegas summers are brutal. We changed it out but the battery light kept flashing on and off we thought we need to drive the car so the battery can juice up the car. We drove from Provo to SLC for a graduation and on our way back at around 9000 S. the electrical started going out again and we pulled over at a Maverick. We were told after making a call to a shop that its probably the alternator considering the battery change didnt fix the issue. They also told us that they werent available to take it until the next week which wasnt an option for us because we had to get back for work. I went on Yelp and Best Buds Mobile service popped up with 5 star reviews so I called. The gentleman that answered was genuine as explained that we thought it was the alternator. He gave me a quote that was within what I was willing to pay. I asked him if he had a number to a tow place so I can get it towed to them. He said "its ok we come to you". I was surprised but then "duh" it says "mobile" in their name. He also told me it would probably be about and hour and a half for them to repair. WHAT! It really did seem too good to be true. The shop we had previously called quoted us double what these guys quoted. They literally showed up within 30 min they arrived at that Maverick parking lot and probably less than the time frame he told me it would take them to fix it we were on our way back to Provo and now we are home and our car is running perfectly! These guys are a gem! I Googled the cost to replace the alternator and they were within the range. So Im going to say they are honest. I wish they were in in Vegas. But now we know if there are any car repair needs for us when in Utah or our family we will be reffering Best Buds Mobile Services. Thank you for the best auto repair service we have hands down ever had!

Paid over $6.8k out of pocket to get everything fixed. 4 months later I hear a loud pop and my alignment is out of wack. Brought it back to Danny's auto and Cory quoted me $3000 telling me my entire alignment is out and I need the entire thing replaced. I was frustrated because they had previously worked on my entire front end and now they were asking me to pay an additional $3k. At this point I wanted to get a second opinion and they ensured me that any other mechanic would back up their diagnosis and my truck was safe to drive. So I took my truck into Cleggs auto in American fork. Here is the diagnostic from Cleggs: RESULT: Upon inspection i found that the driver front upper ball joint has almost fallen out of the control arm this is very unsafe and the control arm must be replaced, I also found that the passenger inner tie rod has play and must be replaced, These repairs must be done before a alignment is performed. Tax $17.58 Job Total $25 I was out the door with $822 complete fix compared to $3k that Cory quoted me for Danny's. Called Cory at Danny's auto and he said yeah our mechanic totally missed that and they thought there were "other" issues with my alignment so that's why the cost was so high. I told them that this could have resulted in a serious accident and this is serious negligence on their part. They had nothing to say and told me they couldn't do anything for me at this point. I don't write reviews but I felt this would be merited in hopes that it helps someone else who may be in a similar situation and to get a 2nd oppenion before taking your car here. Makes me wonder about the $6k I've paid for previous repairs and if those were legitimate. Either way I hold myself in accountability for not doing my due diligence prior to taking me truck to Danny auto. In my personal opinion the folks at Danny's auto are careless, negligent and someone is likely to get seriously hurt or worse due to incompetence. Check out my full diagnostic if you want to see just how bad the ball joint was on my truck that Danny's auto didn't notice. https://shop.tekmetric.com/invoice/rilN1W07dVp-AZfr_wkObadId8erS1lwPd0tqy9m3Os
