It's a pure treasure trove of locally crafted art work, paintings, crochet, knitting, jewellery, decorative pieces, hand bags, furniture and more. Each section has its own personality, and the shop shines as a haven of talent, made up of the various creative items displayed within. I realise this perhaps speaks to those who enjoy pretty things a little more than those who don't, but I'd whole heartedly recommend anyone wander in and take a good long browes - be it for gift shopping, inspiration, or simply to marvel at what can be created by our local talent. What's more, Fabrication hold regular classes, including sewing lessons, crochet and more. I've intended upon taking a class for some time, but haven't found the time, although I've heard some very good reports from folks I know who've partaken. Essentially, I've wanted to learn how to sew for a while, since it's one of the many talents my mother has that I didn't take advantage of whilst at home, and would love to see if I can continue the trend. The Brudenell is one of the best music venues I have ever been to. Nice way to commemorate my love of it by framing these cards. Staff were very friendly as well. A must visit each time I am in Leeds.

In terms of style these guys seem to have my look down. Vintage styled shirts, (one in particular that I coveted had some incredible detail on the neck but alas it was dolly pink, which just isn't me) and interestingly tailored trousers, with more than a few cute dresses to boot. I've found the overall quality of the material is pretty high, which is a massive jump from the tacky plastic based cloths of Primarni, and the pricing is just under the line of the likes of Warehouse, French Connection and River Island. Whilst I'd prefer to buy something unique from a vintage shop, for some staple pieces to match in with what I've got these guys are just the business. On average the staff encounters I've had have been pleasant and whilst I wouldn't go for the shoes they've on offer, as I don't believe the quality is really there, overall you can't really go wrong with DP. They're brother branch Burtons is also great for quality men's clothing. I've already reviewed it, but it's worth mentioning I bought an entire suit, including shoes, for my boyfriend a while back for about £150. Really great value!

They won the Retailer of the Year at the UK Jewellery awards in 2008 and looking at the shop, it's easy to see why. Simplistic cabinets are placed neatly around the room allowing you to look inside at the lovely pieces. The jewellery can be pricey as they specialise in Sterling Silver and Gold - but you can pick up a pair of earrings for £15 which I think is very good. They also have a nice selection of charm bracelets and charms - although Thomas Sabo does seem to have a much wider choice so I'd check them out aswell.

You won't find anything costing over £450 in here, and to my own surprise, it's actually... rather nice. I'd go as far as to say I'd happily purchase something from here. Priding itself on 'contemporary luxury' and specialising in silver and white gold, this is modern, it's classy, and there isn't a chintzy piece of tack, sovereign gold ring or gargantuan hoop in sight. Chavvy this ain't. The kitschiest thing you'll find here is a name necklace, and we all know Carrie Bradshaw made them quirky cool again so we needn't worry. Azendi's all about the geometric angles, funky jewels, shiny pearls and statement rings, and James is absolutely right about it cornering the younger market. It's hard to explain - Azendi just has that intangible feeling of being more highbrow than other high street jewellers. Kudos. I wouldn't just yoink my basics from here, I'd seriously treat myself.
