Also extremely poor quality work on all the baseboards and quarter round being replaced. So much so that we didn't want them coming back to fix and just asked for a 10% discount (on the trim work only) which I felt like wasn't asking much. We were told that a check would be sent three separate times --the first time they forgot, the second time a family member had died, and third time it was in the mail). It's been 4 months and we still haven't seen the check and they now don't respond to our calls. The partial refund was only for $150, which is such a small amount that this entire issue boggles my mind. It's less about the refund for me though and more about the poor attention to detail and workmanship, which is now costing us so much time to fix ourselves because the baseboards and trim look so bad--so many areas where seams look terrible, spots they missed replacing quarter round entirely, joints/corners aren't square, areas where the quarter round only got one nail in it and is barely attached, and SO many areas where caulk wasn't smoothed out and just slopped on, which now I'll have to rip out/sand off and re-do myself. I hate to hurt a small business, being a small business owner myself, but I also don't want other homeowners to deal with a headache like this. We are very reasonable people and decent work and communication isn't that difficult.
