Monroe Home Inspections as my evaluator to oversee the process of replacing my roof with a new Fortified Roof and obtaining my Fortified Roof Certificate, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Before selecting an evaluator, I called and interviewed several individuals designated by the State Department of Insurance for the Fortified Roof Program. While a few sounded capable and professional, others indicated they performed this service only part time. Mr. Chip Fornaris, owner of J. Monroe, immediately stood out as the most professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. Chip came out to my home and explained the entire process in great detail, along with conducting a preliminary assessment. We then scheduled his thorough evaluation, and he even came out on a Saturday to better accommodate my schedule. He spent several hours at my home, including time in the attic, taking numerous photos and drone videos to fully document everything. He promptly submitted his pre-inspection report to the State Department of Insurance, which allowed me to move forward with selecting a roofer. Throughout the entire process, Chip was always available to answer my questions about roofing contractors and how to choose the right one. When my roof was installed, he came out both days and maintained close coordination with my roofer to ensure the work met Fortified standards. His attention to detail and commitment to doing the job right gave me great peace of mind. Chip obtained my Fortified Roof Certificate within two days and was also able to secure a Hail designation, which may qualify me for an additional insurance discount on top of the substantial Fortified roof savings.
