J P Gallagher Construction just finished some repair work caused by a leaking water heater pipe inside of a wall in our house. The pipe was leaking slowly for months and by the time we noticed it the damage was done. We first had Puro Clean come and remove the mold and cut out the damaged drywall and carpet, as well as dry all of the still wet wood areas. When they finished they recommended J P Gallagher Construction to do the repair work. We contacted them and Jack and Ryan Gallagher promptly came out and were right on time. They knew our insurance company would not cover the damage because they claimed it was a slow leak rather than a burst pipe. Jack and Ryan worked with us, as did Justin the project manager, in looking for ways to keep the cost down while still doing exceptional work. Which they did.
Justin contacted us shortly after Jack and Ryan left. Justin came out and looked at the damaged areas (wall at stair landing and deep closet storage area beneath the landing as well as damage to the shear wall which had to be accessed from the garage where the water heater stood).
Jeff, Steve, and a few others showed up on the day and time promised. They worked with precision most of the week making the structural repairs and replacing drywall. When they were finished Will arrived also on the day and time promised. Will did an excellent job texturing the walls to the point you could never tell sections of drywall had been removed.
Jeff and Steve then repainted the areas and blended the paint so there was no discrepancy in color as it meshed with the the undamaged walls.
Jeff and Steve came back on another day at the time promised. They spent the entire day cutting into the shear wall in the garage and replacing the damaged areas. They replaced the drywall and painted the area again matching the paint with the non-damaged areas. You could never find that a large section of the garage wall had been removed and replaced.

Ryan contacted us the day after the work was completed and informed us that Justin had reviewed the completed job and found that $710 should be credited to us because of some work that did not need to be done. We would never have known if Justin did not bring it to Ryan's attention, or if Ryan didn't let us know. It's very refreshing to see such honesty at a time when other companies look to cut corners, pad profits, and put their interests above those they were hired to help. read more
