Not really sure what was going on here but they were not nearly busy enough for the amount of time we had to wait for our food... the server was nice but we waited about 30+ minutes after being seated just to receive cold food. It never fails I get awful service here. Either not waited on, they just happen to have run out of $1 burgers but have the regular priced ones,or a wrong order. Most prevalent is just not being waited on. I've discussed with management there on more than one occasion. They have a new front of house manager so hopefully what I have experienced historically will no longer be an issue. read more

They need to upgrade their printer and process on how they communicate with the kitchen as the service was sllloooowwww again....and we always get an excuse about some kind of breakdown with the system. A decent sports bar, but one that has an outdated look and feel inside. There's always a few regulars holding the bar stools down and they seem to get way more attention from the servers than any new patron does. Seating is rather clumsy and overused as it needs lots of new padding, replacement parts, and maintenance. The food is standard, not bad but greasy; their pizza is horrible. Drinks are watered down and not mixed well.....in desperate need of a mixologist for new concepts. Also, be forewarned they have issue with nesting Geese nearby so keep the door shut! read more

Common racist bar. I don't generally prefer to go into hole in the wall bars, but I had heard good things about JPs and my son also enjoys the wings here. Decided to go, against my better judgement. Sat down at the bar and what unfolded was nothing short of an episode of What Would You Do television show. A black man walked into this questionable establishment and sat down at the bar. We were there for a while, seemed like he had met a couple of friends for drinks. His friends left, and he remained requesting to place an order for takeout. His server Matt took the order. The black man waited. Several other white people came and were seated after he placed this order. They were served. He remained patient, waiting for his takeout. Nearly an hour passed and he was still waiting for his food. He began to ask what the status of his order was and I saw a man approach him, come up behind his shoulder and harass him. Matt the waiter became irate when the black man questioned why he was still waiting on his order when other people had been seated and were now eating after his order was placed. Even though he was harassed, he still tipped this asinine entitled waiter, who then said, "I don't want your tip." My food was subpar at best, tasting like leftover grease and the general regret of spending money at a racist establishment. read more

I would leave 0 stars if possible; our service was almost nonexistent, and any food we received came out after almost 45 minutes, and was cold. After not receiving one item that was ordered, a waitress came to ask about refills, and when reminded we were waiting on an item, she became defensive. We went at 5pm the other night and my husband wanted to get the meatloaf special and they only had ONE left .He got it. Meatloaf, mashed potatos, white gravy and green beans. I tried the meatloaf and mashed potatos.. OMG delicious. My husband said the green beans were almost as good as mine (I use alot of butter). This is a really good neighborhood sports bar. It's filled with regulars night after night (I'm currently the Duke, but only because most of these guys don't have Yelp). It's a fun crowd. The food is standard bar fare. The wings are really good, almost up there with Poor Richards. Their STL style pizzas are very cheap, and the quality is similar to Cecil Whittakers. It looks like a typical biker bar when you walk in but this place has a ton of class that doesn't show to the naked eye. We walked in with cupcakes to celebrate a teammate's birthday. We were immediately greeted and asked if we needed anything put in the fridge!! Wow! Talk about customer service! Then we ordered our food. We had a pretzel with cheese, brisket nachos, Hawaiian sliders, and a salad. The pretzel came out and was as big as a large pizza!! It was hot and yummy!! The nachos were incredible. The brisket was tender and juicy and there were so many other toppings that every bite was full of flavor and excitement! The sliders and salad were equally as good. We had a great last minute dinner at J.P's tonight. After seeing some good reviews and never having been, we took a chance. They were fairly crowded but it was about 5 min before a waitress took our drink order. She brought those quickly and then took our order. We ordered an appetizer of Loaded Fries but unfortunately they came out with our meal instead of before. The meal was hot and delicious. We had a burger, the Wang Dang Buffalo chicken and our son had chicken strips and fries. The buffalo chicken was outstanding but all was good. We'll definitely be back. Our only suggestion might be to lower the jukebox a bit.....it was difficult to understand the waitress. read more

Went here on a Friday night for dinner with a group of 16. Took us awhile before we were able to order. The food came out sporadically and illogically (pizza came out before appetizers). Slight mix up with one of the orders - requested no onions, but came with onions and extra fries. I ordered a quesadilla and it was the very last thing to come out. Everyone else was done eating and ready to go. The worst part of the entire experience: there were 2 long hairs in my sour cream. That would have made it a one star review, but our waitress comped the quesadilla and was pretty great the whole night with handling our large group. And all the food was really good! Also, the tables weren't very clean. One of bathrooms had pee all over the toilet and floor. Good place if you just want to have drinks and shoot some pool. read more

Food is average to good bar fare. Prices are reasonable. I agree with the other reviews that this is a regulars bar. And there is the issue. If your not a regular, the service sucks. The bartender and waitstaff just hang out with the regulars and ignore other patrons. I have walked out after 15 minutes at a table without anyone even aknowledging my presence. There wasn't even very many customers in the place. Its not uncommon to sit at the bar for 10 or 15 minutes with an empty glass waiting for someone to even ask if you would like another. On the day of a Stanley Cup final where you're surrounded by St. Louis Blues fans, they are on one server and one cook. There is no Manager - just a Supervisor on duty. We had been waiting over an hour when we decided to check on our food. Our meal ticket was not put in, but we were served our appetizers on the same meal ticket - like that made sense. Our server was like, "Oh, we're busy" and when we asked her about the food, she replies, "Oh, it should be coming." Right, like the meal ticket wasn't entered into the computer to begin with. If our appetizers were served and was on the ticket, then why lie? What a terrible service on a busy hockey night - like it's the "football" of the Midwest. Our server hasn't checked on us, except for one time. I'm giving this place two stars because the Supervisor on duty spent the time to accommodate us and we got our food for free. She was very hospitable and catered to us. We really appreciate her. The hot wings and fried ravioli was good, but that's about it. This place is terrible at serving and accommodating out-of-town guests. Wow. Don't waste your time here, especially when you're hungry and you have hungry children waiting to eat. BEWARE!!! Walked in and there was turmoil with the cooks arguing out in the bar area threatening to walk off the job. We should have left. Over two hours to get our food. When the food came out it was served one dish at a time. One chicken sandwich was raw chicken. Just the outside fried. Hamburger raw in the middle when ordered medium well. Pizza a soggy mess. Waitress offered to comp the chicken. Demanded the manager and got a story they are short staffed. Gave 50% off our meals and comp'd more dishes. Gave the waitress cash for the bill and she shorted me $10 on the change. Got the hell out of the place. This is on the top ten worse all around experiences I've had.
