Let me start by stating that I specifically signed on to yelp to provide J.R. Rain Gutters, Oscar and Adrian, a review of the recent work they did on my home in Burbank. I could sum up the review with my experience with J.R. Rain Gutters in one word, outstanding, but let me provide you with a little more detail. Doing our due diligence, we spoke to a few businesses about replacing our old gutters and adding gutters on our home and garage in some new locations. Oscar arrived on time, was knowledgeable, professional, and had various samples for us to review. The wife and I wanted to do something different and decided on using a flat faced gutter to give the home a modern look and it would be something different from the traditional rain gutter you see on every house. (Oscar had the sample where as another rain gutter contractor, provided by our painter, said it did not exist.) We also asked Oscar about installing two rain chains and we walked the property to show Oscar where we would like them installed. Oscar took measurements, did his calculations, and provided us a quote in less than fifteen minutes. There were NO hard sales tactics or attempts at up selling during the estimate. The quote from J. R. Rain Gutters was the most competitive from the quotes we received from other installers. We decided on J. R. Rain Gutters to do the job and we are glad we did. This is important. Oscar and his bother Adrian will be doing the installation of your new rain gutters. In my previous experiences, I have had too many tradesmen showing up and giving estimates only to outsource the work to someone I never met or spoke too and often with less than desirable results. Thankfully, this was not the case with J.R. Rain Gutters as you work with Oscar from start to finish. The installation of the rain gutters was a flawless process. Oscar and Adrian called ahead and arrived at the scheduled time. On arrival, they got to work immediately. During the installation, we decided on a new location for one of the rain chains and it was not a problem for Oscar or Adrian to make the adjustment. Both Oscar and Adrian were respectful of the property and our neighbors, careful around the plants and mindful of the fresh paint and stucco on the house and garage. There was no loud radio or people goofing around, just two people quietly doing their job. After the rain gutters, downspouts and rain chains were installed both Oscar and Adrian walked the property twice to ensure no scraps of metal or debris remained. Oscar made sure we were satisfied with the results. Home improvement would be less stressful and expensive process if all trades operated and conducted themselves like Oscar and Adrian of J.R. Rain Gutters which is why I'm highly recommending them if you need rain gutters. J.R. Rain Gutters is a great company. Jose (father) and Oscar (son) are a great team and very responsive to initial calls and quick scheduling (even with winter approaching). I only needed half my house done initially, and they were flexible to work with me on just the sections noted until I painted/roofed my house and we could do the front section. Their pricing was better than all other vendors, and their quality of work was great. I was worried gutters would bring down the look of the house which was just remodeled in the rear, but it actually made the house look better and the improved drainage was a huge improvement. Previously we had major puddling and damage to all our facia board but now it is all carried around the house and out the downspouts at side of house. I am looking forward to finishing our roof and painting and then having them come back for the front of the house. I know it will look great and pricing will be good. And, as noted in other reviews, they work fast and clean up well after finished. They even came back to assist my roofers as a favor which I really appreciated. We could not have asked for a better experience! Oscar was so helpful and responsive. Although we paid a little more than other options it was definitely worth it. They gave us many choices and helped us to pick the style and color best for our house. The gutters work great! Now we are not worried about water around the foundation and on our doors. The added bonus is how much better our house looks. All our neighbors are complementing us. Oscar went above and beyond to sort out details including connecting our rain barrels, making sure the downspouts routed water to the right place and even painting the leaf-catchers so our house looks great from our backyard. I was referred to J R Rain Gutters by a friend that had work done by them and was very happy with the work. We needed gutters after having our home remodeled and it had been quite some time since the the home had gutters installed. Oscar and his team were able to make most styles of gutter troughs on the spot in all the most common materials. We had them install aluminum, colonial style gutters in our home in San Marino. The work was good and very reasonable. The team that came to our house even helped us install our old weather vane back up on the roof peak. They will install rain barrels for you too. It's pouring with rain outside - it's Dec 2nd 2014 and LA is being pummeled by a much-needed storm but thanks to Oscar and JR Rain Gutters we have no worries. Just yesterday Oscar and his father, Ramirez, finished work on our home's gutters. It was quite a job as it is a large house with a flat roof. Oscar assured us that it was all good and boy, was he right. All the gutters and downspouts worked perfectly and it took the massive amount of rainwater we had to exactly where it needed to g0, off of our roof and into the drains. Called J.R. Rain Gutters for an estimate after reading through their reviews and ratings. Oscar came by and did the measurements, he gave us a quote that was very reasonable. He and his father installed the seamless rain gutters around the house, they were very professional and friendly, their work is efficient and organized. When we had to make the last minute change on one of the downspouts after it was installed, Oscar did not hesitate to modify the change. He went beyond to seal some nails on the roof which were installed incorrectly by other people. Oscar came out in December and gave me an estimate. Estimate was better than previous estimates and he was giving me a few more down spouts. Scheduled appointment right there on the spot for next available date which was Feb. 12. I was given an arrival time of 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Oscar that they would be arriving closer to 11:00 am due to material issues. They arrived installed the gutters within 4 hours for my house and garage and I'm very pleased with the gutters as well as how he and his crew cleaned up and made sure that I was happy with my gutters. My call for an estimate was returned in a timely manner and an appointment for an estimate was set for just a few days later. Oscar showed up on time for the estimate. My gutters were shot and I couldn't go thru another rainy season like the last one, short as it was. I got 2 quotes, 1 from Home Depot and another from a self employed contractor.
