I went to some of the OTHER donuts places in Merced that are supposed to be "the best" and I was not impressed. I keep coming back here. They have a great selection, as always with most donuts shops, get there earlier to have the best selections. The staff are quite helpful and quick to get the orders out. There might be a line sometimes but it goes quick. They have multiple little booths to wait or you can eat there- it can be busy in the mornings on the weekends- otherwise it seems pretty chill. Some of my favorites are the maple bacon donuts, the cereal covered ones (fruit cereal ones), Oreo covered ones, apple fritters, jelly filled, and of course the classic donut holes. Merced gem right here! I had a croissant turkey sandwich and man best sandwich I've had since I've moved over here... loaded with veggies and turkey meat. And although there has been times throughout the years that certain shop may have been neck and neck with them, Manleys has consistently been top-notch throughout the years, and it's not just their donuts, as fresh and soft and delicious as they are, their croissant sandwiches are amazing... The best donut shop in town! I don't know how this place does not have a five star. This place is way better than Rollen Donut and Donut King's because these two shops have dry donuts. Before we came to Manley's Donuts, we went to another donut shop in Atwater called Royaltea Donuts & Subs which is the bomb. I highly recommend trying this spot. The donuts are moist and the ladies are pretty chill. A good time is in the morning or around 1 PM or 2 PM because that's when all the good donuts are still there. read more

The area has several homeless outside. I came here before work and parking lot was full but not many people inside. Donuts are average and I ordered croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon egg cheese and jalapeño. It was good but not so filling as it was kinda lacking in the filling part and for close to $7 I wanna feel full. The lady seemed annoyed maybe because of the homeless but I didn't feel welcomed. COULDN'T BELIEVE IT -OH HOW GROSS!!!!! My husband is from California so when we finally moved back here from AZ he raved about this place. I've only been here once and here's why. The first time I came in with my two children. I ordered a few donuts and we sat at one of the bench tables. When I bit into my donut I noticed it was a bit greasy... I overlooked it and wrapped it up and watched my kids enjoy theirs. A few moment into watching them my daughter leans down under the table and picks something up. I figured it was a coin because she always finds pennies. As soon as she got up she reached her hand to me and said, "Look mommy it's a bug". (My Girls has a big heart and isn't squeamish about any type of bugs or spiders) Nevertheless what I saw in her hand freaked me out!! It was a GIANT SEWER ROACH squirming around. I jumped back and told her to drop it so it can be killed, she simply got up and asked me if (instead of killing it if she could just let it go outside..) to keep her happy I agreed. I sanitized her hands and told her we need to wash up ASAP. I grabbed my kids to leave but before heading out the door I spoke with a man and a woman behind the counter to let them know they had roaches. The man looked at the lady and both simply shrugged. The man then replied nonchalantly, "Oh I know... we have them all the time, they don't ever go away." I gasped and vowed never to return again. Since the parents retired it is terrible. The girls there are snotty & downright mean. They act like you should feel honored that they serve you. My husband had gotten food poisoning twice because the meat & cheese is left out in the open. Today he went in & ordered our regular sandwich we've ordered for years. Because he had no lettuce on half they charged him for 2 6" sandwiches instead of a 12". When he asked why she said it was 2 different sandwiches. WFT????? The locals love this place but I find nothing impressive here. This was my first time here in my twenty plus years of living in Merced. So I decided to try it out since I was craving a bagel. This location was the most convenient from my workplace but I was so disappointed. They had no bagels.... Only coffee, sandwiches, breakfast croissants and of course doughnuts. That's what I get for assuming a doughnut shop would actually have bagels.. Any who. The doughnuts were pretty good. However, the coffee is your average gas station coffee. We live down the street from Yum Yum and they are awesome, they even converted me from Krispy Kreme. But my son and I decided to widen our options and try all of the donut places in Merced. We have driven past this one many times but it's always been closed so we made a special trip after my son got out of school. We got a regular old fashioned (my favorite), a maple glazed and a blueberry. The old fashioned was very dry and Yum Yum has a better flavor. The blueberry was not bad nor was the maple but not good enough to back for. We went at about 2:30p and they close at 5:30p. If you want the best selection, go in the morning as there were many empty slots in the afternoon. read more

I'm giving Manley's one star for a couple of reasons. First, their donuts used to be really good but the last couple times they were super greasy! The glazed actually tastes like oil!!!! Secondly and the biggest reason they are incredibly rude. Aside from being unwelcoming and complaining about their customers, they have now instituted a $5.00 minimum purchase if you use a debit card! Really???? Yes, they have sub sandwiches for sale ;D In frantic search for a quizno's alternative, I found Manley's. The have sandwiches around Ham, Turkey, or Chicken meats.
