If you're into hitting the best historic hotels this country has to offer don't miss this one! Often, when staying at historic hotels you sacrifice comfort. Not here! The beds were wonderful and sheets luxury! There are several options for just sitting and relaxing in various books and crannies. Roam the halls and peak into the many rooms which serve as the local museum. Breakfast is served fresh made by Terah. You do need to be aware that this is directly next to the train track and the train does run in the night. It will wake you up but it was worth it to all of us. Also be aware there are two flights of stairs to negotiate to get to your room with your luggage. Rumor has it there is a ghost or two!

They reminded me of elementary school. The room was very nice. Microwave, fridge and personal coffee maker. Safe in the room was a nice touch. Good bath products. The water pressure was great and I have long hair so that's welcome. The water gets really hot if you like that. The bed is very very comfortable and i slept wonderfully. I found this Motel in Soda Springs which is about 23 miles from Lava. It is a place in a time warp. The rooms are knotty pine, the beds old and used up. It seemed like one person did all of the work. They never had a front desk person but a number you could call if you needed anything. The room had no heat with the exception of a space heater we found in the closet. Since it got to be a high of 15 degrees we were glad to have it. The first day there was no hot water in the shower. The second day my husband feel hard In the Tub. The tub was so slick with nothing to hold onto like bars. I hope they read this because this Motel is in no way ADA compliant. For these reasons I would not stay here again

She has masterfully mixed the antique with modern conveniences. Updated mattresses, pillows, and bedding were comfortable. We stayed in 1st and 3rd floor rooms, with private bathrooms. There is no elevator, but that was no problem as there are a couple of private bath suites on the main level. The towels were plentiful, spotless, soft, and thick. The water was hot and rooms were quiet. All of our rooms were clean and free of any funky smells. No stains or goo anywhere. The included breakfast was good- eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, bagels, toast, fruit, juice, milk, coffee, etc. All staff were friendly, kind, and catered to us personally. We loved stepping out the back door of the hotel and watching the geyser erupt. (Minerals from the geyser's mist coat windows, so you may want to park in front.) The hotel sits right next to the train tracks, but complimentary ear plugs are offered to guests (and we recommend you utilize them). In the hotel there is a small gift shop, cafe', and museum, as well as a large room available for receptions. If early 1900s ambience and history are your thing, you will love staying at the Enders! So far we've stayed in the Peacock, Teal, Latte and French Country rooms. Once, we came with my parents , and we shared the Lyon House across the street. Each time, we have loved our visit. The hospitality is fantastic-I always feel like I'm staying with a great aunt that loves to take care of her family. Really, it's that good. We have done the Dine and Unwind package, which includes a delicious dinner and a couples' massage. Best experience ever! If you're looking for a special getaway, be sure to consider this. One of the best decisions I've made in a long time. It's set in an old church that's been renovated to have five rooms in the lower level, and we stayed in the King room. The first thing they said when we walked in was feel free to explore and make yourselves at home which we totally did. Vicki and her husband Craig were great and they took care of us even making us a nice breakfast in the morning before we headed out. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Breakfast consisted of omelettes or egg patties, pancakes, waffles, fruit, yogurt, various pastries, bacon, and potatoes. It's a beautiful setting and the cabins are spacious. The beds are super comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. And that double headed shower, ohhh. Staff was friendly as well.
