Made last minute reservations here. I didn't have a swim Suit and wanted to enjoy the springs. Stayed In the Picasso room. There is a discount if you eat down the street, which had a vegan option. Found the hotel comfortable and clean. Highly recommend.

    Great room!

This place had been great so far! Perfect location. Small simple room with two queen size beds, mini fridge, microwave AND huge tub!!! Our kiddos love playing in the big bathtub they call it a pool We had the Hot Tub all to ourselves for a little bit which was really nice to have some private time with just our little family. It's in walking distance of everything, even a park and the river. You get 10% off breakfast at the chuck wagon for breakfast and the hotel serves coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24hrs. Our room is a little dated but clean and fit our needs. We would stay here again. They are doing construction on Main Street right now so that made parking a little difficult to access and it was fairly noisy until the sun went down but it didn't bother us very much.

A lot of positives about this hotel to focus on. They have very quaint rooms that are comfortable and clean. Also, every room has an oversized tub with the natural hot spring water pumped into it. They are the only hotel in the city that has this amenity which is super awesome. We filled our tub up and had our own private hot spring bath. My only issue, I wouldn't call a complaint, is they want you to be quiet at all times. It was 5:00 and 4 of us were in a room hanging out and talking about our plans for the night. Someone came to the door and asked us to keep it down. We did but I don't feel that is necessary, maybe they should invest in better sound proofing rooms? Also, we came back to the hotel at 8:30 and the receptionist told us we had to keep it down because the room down the hall had a baby in there and just got it to sleep.... while I appreciate a sleeping baby it's not our responsibility to whisper at 8:30 PM. I gave it a four because I find these to be minor infractions and overall we really enjoyed our stay. I just think if sound is a problem, they can update the hotel to change that. Still recommend staying here.

This is what I used as my night stand

Im not sure about the other rooms but we stayed in the economy rooms at a lower price. These rooms are very small with one night stand with nowhere to put your belongings, there is one coat hook in a bad spot that is useless. There are rooms up above you and our upstairs neighbors sounded like a herd of breeding elephants. Seriously our whole stay they tromped back and forth and it seamed as though they were going to come trough the ceiling on top of us. Horrible beds I dont think it is even a queen and is probably as old as the building itself. Having said that our upstairs neighbors bed was also very annoying as they banged the headboard and wore out the springs all night. Worst nights sleep in a very long time. I'd say the only thing good about this place is free Wi-Fi and cable tv and that it is only a short walk to the hot springs.

The only advantage to this hotel is they accept pets. Beds are uncomfortable. Carpet is old and dirty. Paint is peeling.

From the Brussels sprouts starter... wow probably the best we've had. The main entrees of lobster pasta and filet mignon that melted with every bite, and the crisp fresh vegetables on the side... holy Hannah! Even the damn cheese cake was phenomenal with its wild local blueberries.... We ate every bit of all of it. Then Cesar shocked us with some smoked old fashions that completely exceeded expectations... it is a baked Alaska for beverages. Even the next morning we had a voucher for breakfast...the spinach tomato quiche, made in house, was so damn delicious. We assume it's made by the same chef. We thought we were just headed to your average hotel restaurant, we were very wrong. The only thing that I would say we struggled with was the damn mattress. The most uncomfortable sleep we've had in a long while. We may not go back to sleep but we will absolutely go back for drinks and good eats! The entire staff is incredibly kind, helpful and pretty knowledgeable about the town and even the building.

The hospitality is fantastic-I always feel like I'm staying with a great aunt that loves to take care of her family. Really, it's that good. We have done the Dine and Unwind package, which includes a delicious dinner and a couples' massage. Best experience ever! If you're looking for a special getaway, be sure to consider this. The property itself has a lot of history-be sure to save some time to talk to Craig and Vicky about it's past. If you're looking to host an event, the upstairs area is perfect for that too!

The tour of the room by Autumn was awesome and added to the overall experience. The furniture, decorations and draperies were all spot on. The attention to detail like the rose on the mantel (from the Phantom, from anyone who hasn't seen Phantom of the Opera) the pitcher of ice water, a box fan tucked away in the corner, the Phantom of the Opera music playing, and DVD for viewing were all over the top details that made this stay worth every penny. The bed was great, as were the sheets and bedding. Then to plug devices in to charge there is a charging station next to the bed with I think 4 USB and 4 A/C plug ins to utilize. You can tell right away that these people care about their customers and do their best to make them happy. Then, the next day was a very nice breakfast consisting of bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, fresh cut fruit and creamy dipping sauce for the fruit, plus orange juice and hot chocolate (since we aren't coffee drinkers). It was delicious! We got a great rate by calling direct (better than the pricing that I saw online... but we stayed on a week night, so it may have been cheaper than a weekend stay. I have stayed in several bed and breakfast inns, and this one is the best that I have ever experienced! I highly recommend getting a room here if you are visiting Lava Hot Springs! Awesome!!!

The room(#7) was the perfect touch of warmth and cozy feeling we needed after such a long drive. There is a pretty big mini fridge and microwave in the room. The TV is a smart TV and has dish network with several channel options. The room was very clean and decorated with cute alpaca pictures and alpaca rugs. Which was really nice and convenient when you're driving a big truck and you don't feel like pulling in and out of the crowded areas. Plus for us, on that part haha. The room is spacey and barn house feel but really cozy and warm. The ceilings are high so we didn't feel like we were crushed in a small room. The bathroom was spacious and I love that they advertise items for sale inside the room. The bed was comfy but I ended up on the couch lol because my son fell asleep in my spot on the bed next to my husband. We didn't even stay up for the count down. I did hear the fire works while I was dozing off into sleep. It was nice a quiet. The host was really cool and friendly. Got me checked in quickly and smoothly. Check out was also quick. I liked that they had a card and keyless entry door. That solves card problems if it doesn't work and the host is out, yeah! Been there done that. Not having to worry about where the card is or where I put it saves me so much stress. Believe me, I'm so distracted with other things that I'll end up leaving my key cards in the room! Lol! Anyway, don't take my word for it, staying here is recommend. We'll definitely be back.
