We decided to stay here for our weekend hot springs gateway! Place looked like it used to be a church, now they have 5 cute rooms downstairs for bed and breakfast. Two of the rooms come with private bathrooms, others share. We stayed in the peacock room which located in the back with private tub. It was very romantic, and let's just say we got very good use out of it. The owner and the chef were so nice! They have excellent customer service. Our hot breakfast was yummy too. We are definitely coming back again!

This place is so good that it was recommended to me by people who work at a different hotel in Lava Hot Springs! Our room was lovely with new comfy bedding and a fireplace too.But the bed was just one of the favorite reasons that we will return to this great B n B. The foods was delicious! Both breakfast and dinner were wonderful. Dinner was a gourmet meal. My husband had filet mignon cooked perfectly and the beef was melt in your mouth. I had rack of lamb that was prepared sous vide which I had never heard of. Well let me tell you, it was perfect! So if you go to Lava Hot Springs look no further than Greystone Manor. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely return and have recommended our family go too as there is a whole house across the strowned by the proprietors of Greystone for families.

This meal was out of this world!!!

The tour of the room by Autumn was awesome and added to the overall experience. The furniture, decorations and draperies were all spot on. The attention to detail like the rose on the mantel (from the Phantom, from anyone who hasn't seen Phantom of the Opera) the pitcher of ice water, a box fan tucked away in the corner, the Phantom of the Opera music playing, and DVD for viewing were all over the top details that made this stay worth every penny. The bed was great, as were the sheets and bedding. Then to plug devices in to charge there is a charging station next to the bed with I think 4 USB and 4 A/C plug ins to utilize. You can tell right away that these people care about their customers and do their best to make them happy. Then, the next day was a very nice breakfast consisting of bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, fresh cut fruit and creamy dipping sauce for the fruit, plus orange juice and hot chocolate (since we aren't coffee drinkers). It was delicious! We got a great rate by calling direct (better than the pricing that I saw online... but we stayed on a week night, so it may have been cheaper than a weekend stay. I have stayed in several bed and breakfast inns, and this one is the best that I have ever experienced! I highly recommend getting a room here if you are visiting Lava Hot Springs! Awesome!!!

There is a sign on the bed that says to remove bedding before lying on it. When I did, I was bombarded with the scent of Tide. They did offer us another room and offered for the owner to bring in other sheets. When we got to the second room smelled of the chemical laundry soap upon entry. They graciously refunded our room. I was very disappointed we didn't get to experience this place. The one star is because when I complained, the clerk said they use the scented laundry soapbecause of complaints of unscented sheets. Those who are allergic/sensitive can't use them, while people that just like it can go without the smell without physical consequences. There is just no reason to subject people to those chemicals just because some people like the fake smell. There are completely serious about the 4:00 check in and charge hourly to check in early, but you have to book that ahead of time. Breakfast isn't served until 9:30 AM at the earliest. Coffee in room, but no real cream, just fake stuff.

One wall light that didn't work, forcing you to use the overhead light. The cushion was broken in the chair leaving you to sit on the frame. Pieces of wall missing in the bathroom. Chipped bathtub. No nightstands to put your phone, book or water on. We were on the front corner along the road and the lights from the roadway shined in all night, had to get up and get the phone several times thinking it was day and my alarm hadn't gone off only to find it was 2 am, 4:30 am, 6 am. I don't know if this is because we had a pet room, but for the $125 it might have been a tad high. Let's talk about the beds. Best thing about the room! They were thick and very comfortable.

I would not recommend staying here!!!…read more What started as a simple motel stay turned into a serious safety issue. The door to our room suddenly became completely inoperable, trapping me, my boyfriend, and our child inside. The only way we could get out was by climbing through the window. Thankfully, our room had a large enough window to escape. Some of the other rooms only have small, high windows, which could have made the situation much worse. When I informed the front desk, the employee's response was shocking: "Oh yeah, we've been having issues with that door." If they already knew it was malfunctioning, why was it never repaired before putting guests in that room? The employee tried and failed to open the door, then told us, "Luckily we have one room available tonight." We then had to wait about three hours before moving. When the room was finally ready, we had to pass all of our luggage out the window and move everything ourselves. Instead of enjoying the little vacation time we had left, we spent it dealing with a problem that could have been prevented. While we appreciated being moved to another room, it doesn't change the fact that this was a major safety hazard. At checkout, we politely asked if there was any compensation for the inconvenience, lost vacation time, and, most importantly, the safety risk. We weren't asking for a full refund--just a reasonable gesture of goodwill. Instead, we were immediately met with resistance. An employee even told us, "The owner is a stickler." When we spoke with the owner, Tyler, he dismissed our concerns almost immediately, saying, "Things happen." There was no apology, no accountability, and no indication that guest safety was a priority. Based on our experience, this property is poorly maintained, and management appears unwilling to address serious issues or stand behind their guests when something goes wrong. I cannot recommend staying here, especially if you value your safety and expect reasonable customer service when problems arise.
