My wife and I have visited Lava Hot Springs several times in the last few years, and we love to stay at the Greystone Manor. Each time we visit, we try a new room. So far we've stayed in the Peacock, Teal, Latte and French Country rooms. Once, we came with my parents , and we shared the Lyon House across the street. Each time, we have loved our visit. The hospitality is fantastic-I always feel like I'm staying with a great aunt that loves to take care of her family. Really, it's that good. We have done the Dine and Unwind package, which includes a delicious dinner and a couples' massage. Best experience ever! If you're looking for a special getaway, be sure to consider this. The property itself has a lot of history-be sure to save some time to talk to Craig and Vicky about it's past. A must do if you're staying in Lava Hot Springs! We usually stay in hotels like Marriott and others but on this trip we chose to stay in a bed-and-breakfast. One of the best decisions I've made in a long time. It's set in an old church that's been renovated to have five rooms in the lower level, and we stayed in the King room. The first thing they said when we walked in was feel free to explore and make yourselves at home which we totally did. Vicki and her husband Craig were great and they took care of us even making us a nice breakfast in the morning before we headed out. Would definitely recommend staying here. read more

I cannot say enough about this b&b. Probably the most hospitable place I have stayed. We had the "Dine and Unwind," package. Couples massage and dinner afterwards. The regular masseuse was booked, so they found a replacement. It was a fantastic massage. Dinner was one of the best dinners we have had in a long time. Rack of Lamb and filet. Just awesome. We decided to stay here for our weekend hot springs gateway! Place looked like it used to be a church, now they have 5 cute rooms downstairs for bed and breakfast. Two of the rooms come with private bathrooms, others share. We stayed in the peacock room which located in the back with private tub. It was very romantic, and let's just say we got very good use out of it. The owner and the chef were so nice! They have excellent customer service. Our hot breakfast was yummy too. Greystone Manor was the perfect little weekend get away for my husband and I on our anniversary. We stayed in the Latte Room which was adorable, had a super comfy bed and had lovely little decor everywhere. Craig and Vicky are just the best hosts and let us come and go as we pleased. The breakfasts were the perfect size always with something nutritional and not heavy. We also did the dine and unwind package which was excellent. Massage followed by an incredible 4 course meal made for the best experience. Craig was always really attentive with letting us know exactly what everything was on the plate when he served it which made for a really enjoyable meal each time. The location is great for everything and it has more character and niche like qualities than anywhere else in town. We really can't wait to come back again. read more

This place is so good that it was recommended to me by people who work at a different hotel in Lava Hot Springs! Our room was lovely with new comfy bedding and a fireplace too.But the bed was just one of the favorite reasons that we will return to this great B n B. The foods was delicious! Both breakfast and dinner were wonderful. Dinner was a gourmet meal. My husband had filet mignon cooked perfectly and the beef was melt in your mouth. I had rack of lamb that was prepared sous vide which I had never heard of. Well let me tell you, it was perfect! So if you go to Lava Hot Springs look no further than Greystone Manor. We just spent the night at Greystone Manor. When we arrived we had the couples massage, which was wonderful after a day of travel from Michigan. We had a great breakfast and then walked down to the hot springs for a morning dip. We did not stay here, but we did come for the couples dinner and it was FABULOUS!! The food was so good, the best food we have had since moving 3 years ago from the East Coast! We were visiting Lava Hot Springs for our 5 year wedding anniversary and saw the postcard advertisement for the Dine & Unwind package at The Harkness Hotel, the wonderful hotel we were staying at, and decided to call and see if we could just go for dinner, as we had already had massages that day. They had a reservation for 7 PM available, so my husband took it. He made our reservation and placed our entree order while I was in the shower, so I had no idea what he had ordered for me. When he later told me that he had ordered the Filet Mignon for himself and the seared Ahi Tuna for me, I'm not going to lie, I was a bit nervous. If you know anything about seared Ahi Tuna, you know it has to be very fresh or you have a very high risk of food poisoning, so you don't order it from just anywhere! I had never been to this place for dinner and I had no clue what I was getting myself into. Well, let me just say, I was more than pleasantly surprised!!! This was one of the best meals I have ever had in my entire life! My tuna was beyond good. My husband's filet was wonderful too. My husband and I know good food too! You would probably consider us foodies and we know how to cook as well. So we have very high standards. This place blew us away!!! Everything was made with such care and attention to detail. The meal started with a wonderful shrimp cocktail with a homemade cocktail sauce. No detail missed. The shrimp were fanned and the lemon wedge was seasoned. Then they brought out a salad with homemade ranch dressing and homemade croutons which were very good. They served the salad with homemade rolls and whipped fresh butter. The rolls were so good!! Then the main course came out. The entree that we each picked, serviced with the most amazing mashed potatoes and green beans. The plating of the food was wonderful and appealing to the eye. No detail was missed. For dessert they brought out homemade Crème Brule with a piece of chocolate made with cayenne pepper that popped in your mouth like pop rocks. It was so amazing and fun in your mouth, it brought you back to your childhood! The Crème Brule was delicious. They also served amazingly fresh coffee with the dessert, which in itself is wonderful because it is not easy to find really good coffee around this area. We were so satisfied by our meal and our greatest food expectations were fulfilled! The next time we go back to Lava Hot Springs, we know where we will be dinning for dinner. We also took some time to speak with the owners. They are some of the nicest genuine people you are ever going to meet. They are the kind of people you could just sit and talk to for hours on end. They told us about the manor and how they got started there. They let us look around the building. It is such a beautiful building. It used to be a LDS church. We had our wedding here, it was the best! The owner Vickie, served us so well, from the catering / decorating, to the rooms we stayed in. It's like we were staying comfortably at our own home, definitely didn't feel like a hotel. It was a priceless experience and i highly recommend this place to anyone. Vickie honestly knows how to treat customers and truly serve, and take care of them, which today's day and age is a rarity. She was like a breath of fresh air, compared to the other details involved in our wedding. And we come back just to stay there all the time, the food is amazing also!! I booked a room at this bed and breakfast to stay after completing a ten-day Vipassana meditation retreat. I walked through this quaint little town to the manor. It is only about a mile and a half from the state-run hot spring pools. Cabs are completely unnecessary. The rooms are below a church. Vicky and her husband Craig told me they also do weddings and receptions at the establishment. I booked the teal room; It's a nice and clean room with a comfy king size bed, a large Jacuzzi style bathtub, fireplace, AC. If I preferred to take a shower I could do so at a shower down the hall. There is a complimentary breakfast included with the room which was really good. A 10-grain hot cereal with almond extract, fresh fruit, an egg/cheese/pepper souffle' and OJ. I had seconds. There was also a large tea and coffee selection. As it happens Vicky was baking cupcakes for an event and let me have all the less than perfect ones. They were good too. Vicky and Craig were very helpful in several ways. I needed my swim shorts and towel dried before my flight so she let me use her drier. Instead of me paying for a cab to go back to the Pocatello airport, since she was heading out that way anyways, she just dropped me off at the airport. This was really nice since the cab fare would have been expensive. Vicky, Craig and I had lots of conversations about various things. After getting to know them I believe they are very normal, friendly, good people. The service was excellent and would therefore recommend this experience to everyone. read more

We stayed here during our recent stay in Lava Hot Springs, and it was so great we booked another night during our stay. We highly recommend the dinner experience, they are excellent chefs and everything was so fresh and delicious we decided to come back the next night for dinner. The rooms were very comfortable, and the staff made it easy for us to feel at home and very welcome. The Greystone is a short walk to main street, the swimming complex, river, and the hot pools. I chose this as a close to home get away for our honeymoon. Vicky, the owner and chef, has created an amazing retreat where guests are catered to and treated like royalty. My wife and I were constantly amazed with the service we received. Breakfast was artistic and tasty, and the portions were very generous. We opted for the Dine & Unwind package (4-course dinner and massage) and were once again ecstatic with the massage and food that followed. Vicky even provided us with spa towels to use on a night-time trip to the hot pools. The rooms were quiet, cozy, and romantic. Our room, the Peacock Room, had a private bath, which we both loved. We were able to come and go as we pleased, and always had the sense of privacy and security. In a nutshell, I cannot say enough positive things about our stay at Greystone Manor, and am working to plan a return trip to Lava, just so we can stay here again. read more
