Not sure what happened to him or his business once he met me. we discussed the timeline when at my house, unfortunately once he had our LARGE material funds he provided nothing but excuses and lies. Been an awful year +dealing with this contractor and his lies and excuses. I gave him over a year to make things right with us but he has made no effort to return any of our money we asked for back in December 2022. It makes me ill. Here is a short story of the year+ I have wasted trying to regain our deposit back from Mr Cox.  I have been in contact with the local police, Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau.  ALL of which have done NOTHING-just letters.  We gave him a check for a large sum to procure the hardwood.  It's been a year + no floors and no deposit returned.  He told the Local Officer our money was spent and didn't have money to return to us.  He keeps telling me he will return it , but words without actions are meaningless.  And unfortunately this is someone more than 1 Neighbor suggested.  You just never know who you are going to hire for a project.  If this has happened to your family please reach out to the Attorney General's office about this matter.  Power in numbers.  I'm aware from 1 other reviewer he has done this before.   In November he told us the Brazilian Cherry for our floor would be delivered soon and the installation will begin.   On December 5 he claimed the distributor would not have the wood until December 16, and stated he could request a refund from the distributor if that is too late   On December 22 he said he had to leave the country for a situation with his family.  He indicated he could cancel the order and request a refund.   On December 28 he stated the wood order would take another 2 weeks to arrive, at which point we requested to cancel the project for a refund.   Late February we reported the incident to local police, who contacted Mr. Cox.  At this point we were informed that Mr. Cox did not order the wood and did not have the funds to pay us back.   Since then he has only re-iterated claims that he intended to pay us back when his business picks up again. Lawyer's response is just another deadbeat contractor.

He and his helper were friendly and professional through the process and took extra steps to protect our house during the work - putting down many drop cloths, taping up vents and cabinets during demolition. He kept us informed of the progress and the end result was spectacular! We would definitely use him again for our tiling needs.

Trust me. If you want to know more, read on.... I was introduced to Love Tile and Marble through a claim with my home owner's insurance. Kevin and his team were sent out as sub-contractors for the tile repair. The insurance company paired us with a project manager to handle all aspects of the demolition and re-building of our two bathrooms. Long story short - we had a terrible experience with that project manager, and their other sub-contractors (the electrician, plumber, etc). The ONLY positive experience we had through the entire process was with Love Tile and Marble. Their workmanship was superior. They showed professionalism. And just as important, they showed respect for my home. These guys put down canvas to protect my hardwood floors and wiped their boots on the mat before they came in. It may seem like small gestures. But, through the 3 months of hellish renovations and dozens of contractors in and out of my home, the respectful ones stand out. After choosing my new floor tile, Kevin made suggestions on the pattern because of the imperfections in the tile (1/3 pattern, as opposed to the 1/2 pattern I originally wanted). I agreed with his suggestion and the floors came out beautifully! We also hired him again for other work, since we were so happy with his previous work. Bottom line - Kevin and his team are utterly fantastic. Fair and reasonable prices for top quality workmanship (which I can personally attest - is tough to find these days).
