As any homeowner should do when considering hiring contract help; we did receive other quotes. But when deciding which contractor to go with, Jayson's pricing was very fair given his craftsmanship and given the time we had to wait for his availability, you just knew he was going to do a wonderful job. As our date approached he contacted us about 10 days out to tell us he was a couple of days behind and wanted to negotiate a new start date that worked for our schedule-this was well in advance of us even beginning to pack up and move things out; so we greatly appreciated the advance notice and ability for us to plan. Jayson showed up as scheduled, ready to work. Of course having your floors refinished is inconvenient; doing it with two kids and a dog even moreso, but giving him the week he needed to do the job right was so worth it. I'd never have believed the floors could look so good, I don't think they looked this good when they were newly installed! I was so worried about the dust-I planned to spend a day wiping walls and everything down-I didn't need but an hour-there was hardly any! Jayson and his staff were professional, listened to your questions, arrived on schedule each day and were trustworthy. He even offered to take our dog for the few days! We are so pleased with the results and look forward to hiring him next year to do our upstairs.

Their daughter and son are on the ladders and roofs doing the installation. When they say family business, they mean it. They do everything: cleaning, installation, gutter guards, repairs, service. I needed a complete overhaul. This was the best experience I've ever had, start to finish. Mom answered my first call. Professional, friendly, clear, got me scheduled fast. When Dad came out for the estimate, he walked the property, explained what was wrong with my existing system, and laid out exactly what they'd do to fix it. No upselling. Just honest assessment and a very fair price. My old gutter system wad a disaster. Poorly engineered, poorly maintained, falling apart. I'd been afraid of rain for six months because water was overflowing everywhere it shouldn't. All Family came in, tore out the entire system, removed parts that didn't need to be there, installed high-quality materials and gutter guards that actually made sense for the house. Half a day. Done. With the gutter guards they installed, I won't need to clean my gutters for at least five years. No ladders. No scooping leaves. They found rotted wood behind the section over my porch. He got paint on my shoe and my infants safety mat. He encouraged my neighbor to take down the camera that I have on the property, I have documented camera footage to support this. He did a sloppy job painting the door the brush strokes or uneven and not professional. There are paint chipping all over the yard and we have a newly walking baby who plays in this yard. This guy and his crew did not properly prep the area or clean it. Himself and his crew smoke on the job. luckily I have the camera footage to prove it , my home smelled of cigar smoke the police came and took report and had this man pay a fee damage the shoe and mat from paint. Kitchen Direct and the President/Owner Peter Curti took $35,000 of our money and never completed…read morethe renovation of our kitchen. All our bottom kitchen doors were made incorrect. We were given plywood doors and drawers when we paid for real wooden doors. All the staining was missing throughout the kitchen. Front and bottom panels were never installed and a top cabinet door was never made. Because of the wrong size cabinets we also cannot access our trash or recycling bins. The cabinets we chose were Showplace Cabinetry and even though our kitchen is under warranty, Showplace refuses to do the warranty work. Showplace will only deal with the Kitchen Direct. Throughout the entire kitchen renovation there were a multitude of mistakes, errors, inaccurate measurements etc. Scott C. sent us a letter telling us that he was too frustrated and that he quit. We fought this for months through the BBB and the RI Attorney General's office. Kitchen Direct is not a reputable company. The AG's office does not have the authority to force him to complete the work, or to have his license revoked. We have called Showplace and sent emails to the President, only to be hung up on and emails that went unanswered. We have been living a nightmare, and we do not have the money to obtain an Attorney. After paying $35,000 our only option is to paint the entire kitchen and hire someone to build a cabinet door and all the missing panels, again, we do not have the money! If Scott Curti has a rebuttal with this complaint, PLEASE BE AWARE!!!!! Do not purchase any cabinetry from Kitchen Direct, Inc. or any cabinetry that is made by Showplace Cabinetry as they will not stand by their mistakes and only will deal with the kitchen company direct and not the homeowner.
