I finally found them on Instagram, booked and am so glad that I did. I scheduled an appointment with Ms. Sarah. It was an awesome experience with Ms. Sarah, her sister the salon owner whom i forgot to ask her name that is how excited I am to have found my new salon home. Everyone is pleasant, the environment is relaxed, great thought provoking conversations from generations of black women that you can learn and grow from, and tons of laughter. I did not spend my entire work day here such a difference compared to other places I have gone to get my hair done. I will be going back to get my hair done repeatedly. As a woman who's struggled to maintain the health of my own either relaxed or natural hair, She has made sure the health of my hair is at the forefront. She uses the best products and gives me advice on the products I should get to for care for my hair at home. I appreciate this because she's given me the agency and confidence to know how to maintain the health of my hair on my own. However, every time I do show up, which I can easily schedule myself online, she gives me a look that suits me and my personality. Random people on the street always compliment me after a fresh cut from the shop. Not only is she an expert stylist, she's an awesome human! I value the connection, comfort, and rapport she provides. I asked for a simple low taper and nothing off the top. the barber says "oh that's a tough one" and then proceeds to drop my phone on the ground looking at the picture and then please tell me why when i asked for nothing off the top she basically gave me a buzz cut. She was like oh I love ur curls then proceeds to cut all my curls and hair off. it was so bad i just had to tell her to stop mid way. Also it was two barbers working on my hair. TWO. absolutely terrible. This is the worst haircut job i have received in my life.. attached is my hair before the hair cut and after the hair cut. I am so upset.. ALSO LETS MENTION THE FACT online it said 14 bucks for haircut but she charged us 30!!! wtf i am so pissed.
