I read reviews with the understanding that they usually contain hyperboles of experiences, people that have great or horrible experiences while most lying somewhere in between. After the experience I recently had with this cleaning company, I cannot in good faith recommend their services and would never pay $400+ for their services again. While the cleaning job was decent and I appreciated communication from one of the operators, Jade, there was a lack of professionalism on behalf of the cleaning crew and we experienced significant dismissal regarding a complaint which lead to our paying additional money to have an area of our floors cleaned after the cleaning crew finished. Simple transparency and good customer service goes a long way. With there being ample cleaning services in the area, I would recommend spending your well earned money with a company that values customers and their experiences. The team that cleaned my home was efficient and did a good job. They did arrive a little late, but still within reason. We were looking for a move in clean and after reading the reviews, it seemed like JAC Cleaners was the best choice. They weren't. There are many cleaners in the area, and this definitely will not be our go to company. Even after speaking to them and sending pictures, they did not get back to us with any type of explanation - although I did tell her that she did not need to get back to me because I am not looking for a refund, just wanted to let them know what the final job looked like, she still insisted that she would talk to someone at the office and get back to us. There was no furniture to move around, so it should have been an easy clean. They were scheduled for 11:00, pushed it to 1:00, showed up at 2:15. They were out by 4:30 - a townhouse clean in 2 hours. Counters were dirty, the stove was a mess (they said it was because of the glass, but we were able to clean it), there was dirty water left in the sink (they said they didn't use the kitchen sink, but if that is the case, then they didn't clean it either). Refrigerator still had spots. The cleaners said they had to wait for my daughter to return, which was untrue (proven by the text messages sent). It did smell good, so I am not saying that they did not clean. But 2 hours in a 3 floor place is pushing it - I feel that they were running late and instead of changing our date (which was scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance), they decided to rush the job. Pictures attached: 2 counter pictures, floor needing swept, kitchen sink (all taken same day once they left - and no, my daughter who doesn't like conflict did not mention all these things but instead called me). I've been using this service for years. I downgraded and instead of 2 cleans per month I elected to do 1 clean a month. I replied I dont have a regularly scheduled date yet and you guys just cleaned my house last week.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owner told me he had me on a recorded line and that I did schedule a date....Hold up...remember I said ive been with this company for a few YEARS now and NEVER have they EVER told me I was being recorded. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He specifically said he went back and listened to the recording. I said ok well please send me the recording I'd like to hear it. I waited for about 2 weeks...nothing sent. So I called. Now the owner is saying Oh its a transcript and its difficult to share.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And I forgot the best part. They charged me for the special clean ( which was cool ) and THEY CHARGED ME (half) FOR THE OTHER CLEANING that I wasnt scheduled for and that I didn't receive because I wasn'texpecting them!! The cleaner was even surprised as well. She called the owner and told him, we were just there to clean this house last week!!! Yet they still charged me. So I canceled their services . For 2 very important reasons. The first is they got greedy when they charged me for a clean that they didn't do and the second which is really the most significant.....they lied ....lied to me about some " recording " and if they are recording us we do have the legal right to be informed prior to any conversation. I would have stayed with the company if they had worked with me. The house was empty of all furniture and household goods, so there was no furniture to move. Engaged this company to do a move-out clean, emphasized that it needed to be really clean, and definitely phone me if additional cleaning was needed beyond the quote. Stressed to definitely let me know if additional cleaning would be necessary, and we would work out extra costs. Much was missed. Entire areas were never touched. Contacted the company with details, and they came out again. Once again much was still missed. Counter top areas untouched. Drawers never wiped. We had to go in again and clean ourselves. A follow-up email asked for feedback, and we let our feelings known, citing our deep disappointment. Automated response expressed regret and said owner would contact us within a day. my grandfather passed away a few weeks ago and I have been taking care of everything with the estate myself. I scheduled a move out clean for this afternoon (9/11). I was given a window for arrival time between 12pm-1pm. I received an automated text at 1:26pm that they were on their way and would be there shortly. At 1:59 I called the office to inquire where they might be. I was informed that they would be arriving in 20-25 minutes-1.5 hours after the time window. I told her I couldn't wait for them any longer as my plan was to get them started, go grab my kids from school, and come back but now their cleaning time would interfere in my children's sports schedule. I was told that if I canceled I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee. I explained I did not think that was appropriate given that my reason for cancelling was their failure to show up. I was then told that Richard, the owner, would call me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He called me at 2:18pm and told me that the girls were 15 minutes away and I could just leave and they would let themselves in. I explained I wasn't comfortable with that[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], to which he replied he would have to charge me 50% of the charge because they were already on their way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He then claimed that he sent me an email two days before my booking to allow another hour after the window for arrival, which he did not.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He told me there was nothing he could for me. Five minutes after our phone call he texted me saying he only charged me the $50 cancellation fee but if I rebooked for the following week, he would apply it to my cleaning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I sent him screenshots of my email log as well as the contents of his emails which do not say a single word about allowing another hour.
