I read reviews with the understanding that they usually contain hyperboles of experiences, people that have great or horrible experiences while most lying somewhere in between. After the experience I recently had with this cleaning company, I cannot in good faith recommend their services and would never pay $400+ for their services again. While the cleaning job was decent and I appreciated communication from one of the operators, Jade, there was a lack of professionalism on behalf of the cleaning crew and we experienced significant dismissal regarding a complaint which lead to our paying additional money to have an area of our floors cleaned after the cleaning crew finished. Simple transparency and good customer service goes a long way. With there being ample cleaning services in the area, I would recommend spending your well earned money with a company that values customers and their experiences. Unfortunately, my experience with this JAC cleaning company was extremely disappointing and ultimately very costly. The cleaners arrived late and did not come prepared with several basic cleaning supplies needed to complete the deep clean. They did not have paper towels, glass cleaner, Murphy Oil Soap, or the appropriate stove-cleaning products. Because I was already going to the store, I offered to purchase the missing supplies so they could continue working. Throughout the cleaning, there were multiple smoke breaks and a lunch break, and toward the end, the cleaners appeared rushed. They told me they needed to leave for another cleaning job and were concerned that their boss would fire them if they were late. More importantly, while cleaning my stove, one of the cleaners removed the numbers/markings from the controls. She called me afterward and acknowledged what had happened. The damage resulted in me having to replace the stove at a cost of approximately $640. There were also several areas that were not completed as expected for the deep cleaning. The inside of light fixtures, closets, refrigerator, top of the refrigerator, washer,dryer and other areas were left uncleaned. I was also told they would not be able to mop one of the rooms in the basement. Before booking, I specifically discussed cleaning the window sills with Jade and was told they were included in the deep clean. When the cleaners were rushing out ,they told me they would not clean them. The boss told them "no" they've been there long enough. They need to leave. Jade later acknowledged that there had been a misunderstanding regarding what was included. She took full responsibility for it indicating that sometimes her understanding about things are different and she does remember that conversation. she also indicated that she will change her wording so that it's not confusing customers The owner kept insisting that Jade would've never said that to me again to make me be wrong when I was 100% right. Veve. Because the property was scheduled to be rented the following day, I ultimately had to hire another cleaner to return the next day and complete the job. I contacted both Jade and the owner in an effort to resolve the situation privately. Unfortunately, my conversation with the owner was extremely unprofessional. Rather than focusing on resolving the damage and incomplete cleaning, the conversation became confrontational, and I was told that because he did not like the way I was speaking to him, he would not do anything for me. I gave the company an opportunity to address the damaged stove and the incomplete deep clean, but the owner has declined to reimburse me for the stove or provide any refund for the portions of the cleaning that were not completed. He actually said that I have to be nuts to think that he was gonna pay for the stove. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, and I would have preferred to resolve this directly with the company. However, having to purchase cleaning supplies myself, hire another cleaner the following day, and replace a stove damaged during the cleaning made this a very disappointing and expensive experience. I would not use this company. Please read prior reviews on the lowest scale. All the stories are starting to sound very similar. I paid for a 4 hour deep cleaning. Expectations were discussed at time of booking and also when the girls arrived to my home. While my home seemed to have been cleaned it was not done well. Window sills were still dusty, the kitchen counters and floors were not touched, bathroom sinks were not scrubbed just wiped. There were still marks of dirt on the floors in the bedrooms. While the cleaning quality was adequate and we appreciated the consistency over several months of weekly service, their inflexible cancellation policy ultimately ended our relationship. When I needed to pause service, I contacted them on Saturday regarding our Tuesday appointment. After hearing nothing all weekend, I followed up Monday morning. They finally responded, only to inform me I'd be charged a cancellation fee because I hadn't provided "more than one business day" notice. As loyal weekly clients, we expected some consideration, especially given our attempt to communicate well in advance. Instead, they prioritized a rigid policy over customer retention. Their approach made it clear how little our consistent business was valued. This is the language that they have when you enter your credit card information was completely different from the person I spoke to on the phone who insisted you must give more than one business day notice: PUT A CARD ON FILE We only require you to put a card on file to save your booking. I have been using Ashley and Danielle for several months, and are extremely pleased with the throughness of the work they do. They are quick and accurate. I always have the same team and I feel comfortable enough to leave them in my home while I may run errands. They are very cooperative and if I suggest a new product there is no hesitation in using it. The team that cleaned my home was efficient and did a good job. They did arrive a little late, but still within reason. There was a mixup on the part of the scheduler, Jade, where she only listed two bathrooms on the work order. I specifically told her I had 2 1/2 bathrooms. But, because there were only two bathrooms listed on the work order the ladies refused to clean all three and made me pick one of my bathrooms to leave dirty. I felt they could have reached out to the office to straighten things out, but they didn't. Richard texted me after my service to see how it was and I returned his text and explained this issue and then heard nothing back. while I was happy with the job that the cleaners did I can't 100% recommend this company based on the customer service. We were looking for a move in clean and after reading the reviews, it seemed like JAC Cleaners was the best choice. They weren't. There are many cleaners in the area, and this definitely will not be our go to company. Even after speaking to them and sending pictures, they did not get back to us with any type of explanation - although I did tell her that she did not need to get back to me because I am not looking for a refund, just wanted to let them know what the final job looked like, she still insisted that she would talk to someone at the office and get back to us. There was no furniture to move around, so it should have been an easy clean. They were scheduled for 11:00, pushed it to 1:00, showed up at 2:15. They were out by 4:30 - a townhouse clean in 2 hours. Counters were dirty, the stove was a mess (they said it was because of the glass, but we were able to clean it), there was dirty water left in the sink (they said they didn't use the kitchen sink, but if that is the case, then they didn't clean it either). Refrigerator still had spots. The cleaners said they had to wait for my daughter to return, which was untrue (proven by the text messages sent). It did smell good, so I am not saying that they did not clean. But 2 hours in a 3 floor place is pushing it - I feel that they were running late and instead of changing our date (which was scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance), they decided to rush the job. I've been using this service for years. I downgraded and instead of 2 cleans per month I elected to do 1 clean a month. I just wasn't sure what day I wanted to choose because the company could no longer clean my home on Saturdays with the cleaners of my choice. So for one December I had them clean on a Friday since I was off work. I explained to them that i still wasn't sure what my regular time would be because I really wanted to be at home during cleanings and I was just taking this date this time since I was on Christmas break. That December clean went fine....fast forward to January.... they had a special so I opted to do the special deep clean that month....no problem. Then a week after they did the deep clean, they sent the cleaners back to my house. I told them I didn't need my house cleaned again until next month. They replied well this is your regular scheduled clean date . I replied I dont have a regularly scheduled date yet and you guys just cleaned my house last week. The owner told me he had me on a recorded line and that I did schedule a date....Hold up...remember I said ive been with this company for a few YEARS now and NEVER have they EVER told me I was being recorded. He specifically said he went back and listened to the recording. I said ok well please send me the recording I'd like to hear it. I waited for about 2 weeks...nothing sent. So I called. Now the owner is saying Oh its a transcript and its difficult to share. And I forgot the best part. They charged me for the special clean ( which was cool ) and THEY CHARGED ME (half) FOR THE OTHER CLEANING that I wasnt scheduled for and that I didn't receive because I wasn'texpecting them!! The cleaner was even surprised as well. She called the owner and told him, we were just there to clean this house last week!!! Yet they still charged me. So I canceled their services . For 2 very important reasons. The first is they got greedy when they charged me for a clean that they didn't do and the second which is really the most significant.....they lied ....lied to me about some " recording " and if they are recording us we do have the legal right to be informed prior to any conversation. I would have stayed with the company if they had worked with me. The house was empty of all furniture and household goods, so there was no furniture to move. Engaged this company to do a move-out clean, emphasized that it needed to be really clean, and definitely phone me if additional cleaning was needed beyond the quote. Stressed to definitely let me know if additional cleaning would be necessary, and we would work out extra costs. Much was missed. Entire areas were never touched. Contacted the company with details, and they came out again. Once again much was still missed. Counter top areas untouched. Drawers never wiped. We had to go in again and clean ourselves. A follow-up email asked for feedback, and we let our feelings known, citing our deep disappointment. Automated response expressed regret and said owner would contact us within a day. my grandfather passed away a few weeks ago and I have been taking care of everything with the estate myself. I scheduled a move out clean for this afternoon (9/11). I was given a window for arrival time between 12pm-1pm. I received an automated text at 1:26pm that they were on their way and would be there shortly. At 1:59 I called the office to inquire where they might be. I was informed that they would be arriving in 20-25 minutes-1.5 hours after the time window. I told her I couldn't wait for them any longer as my plan was to get them started, go grab my kids from school, and come back but now their cleaning time would interfere in my children's sports schedule. I was told that if I canceled I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee. I explained I did not think that was appropriate given that my reason for cancelling was their failure to show up. I was then told that Richard, the owner, would call me. He called me at 2:18pm and told me that the girls were 15 minutes away and I could just leave and they would let themselves in. I explained I wasn't comfortable with that, to which he replied he would have to charge me 50% of the charge because they were already on their way. He then claimed that he sent me an email two days before my booking to allow another hour after the window for arrival, which he did not. He told me there was nothing he could for me. Five minutes after our phone call he texted me saying he only charged me the $50 cancellation fee but if I rebooked for the following week, he would apply it to my cleaning. I sent him screenshots of my email log as well as the contents of his emails which do not say a single word about allowing another hour. I have not received a word back. Owner is discriminatory towards women. I expressed dissatisfaction with the job his crew had done and he attributed my dissatisfaction to "raging female hormones since I just gave birth!!!!!!" Do not use this company! The cleaning crew completely ignored major cleaning duties like sweeping and mopping bathroom floors, cleaning mirrors and faucets in bathroom. We paid to have floor boards cleaned but they weren't touched. The cleaning crew went out of their way to UNPLUG security cameras in my house. The owner did not live up to his words to provide a quality cleaning. My old cleaning crew quoted the same job 1/4 the price that this company quoted and my old cleaning company corrected all the things this company missed. Owner was very disrespectful and attributed my feedback to "female hormones" after I gave birth. Literally a waste of money and dealing with these people will just cause you stress. read more
