Jacaranda Gift Shop is like an oasis in the desert. Nestled in an old house on Bethel in Old Town Coppell, it is surrounded by a garden that can only flourish like it does from living care. The garden has statuary that gives a gentle babbling of water amongst the flowers. It sets the stage for high expectations once you enter and you are not disappointed by any means. Once inside you are greeted and welcomed as if you are an old friend coming in from not having been seen in a long spell. Introductions follow, and then you learn that the store is comprised of products made by local members of the community. It provided me me an extra level of appreciation for the items in the store. They have a wide variety of items, such as earrings and other jewelry, hand towels, blankets, quilts, children's clothes, stuffies, a few books, candles, and more. They also offer embroidery services on things you buy in the store. Particularly, if you are looking for young baby or children clothing, they offer some embroidery that just makes them almost too precious! The prices on most things here did not seem terrible, especially when you factor in these items are handmade. Add to that the fact that this store truly offers the boutique experience and then you really start to appreciate the pricing structure here. What a cute shop in downtown Coppell! So many different things to buy. The sale soy candles made in Coppell. They smell delightful. They have a section that has beautiful homemade soap at a very reasonable price too! The items are affordable in this store too! They also have an area for tea lovers. True "Tea Jenny's". Varies tea pots with beautiful cups for sale. Also multiple canned/jared teas are offered to complete a set as a gift! The quaint shop offers a hodgepodge of items for just about everyone. I can't wait to return. They even have some cute jewelry. They also have a section for babies. They have quilts and stuffed toys that only need embroidery done to them to complete them. My in-laws do a secret santa where the theme is local things. So I had to find a store in Dallas that sold things that were sourced local. Luckily this store was the closest to me and sounded perfect on the description on Google. Pulling up it's unassuming, standing alone on the edge of a well off neighborhood but it's surrounded by greenery and flowers. Walking in I was greeted by a friendly woman who I assume owns the place. She listened to my plight (as I am greatly stressed by gift giving) and pointed me towards all their Texas things. There was local honey which apparently comes from the owner's house. There was a tag on it that said it's not inspected by the FDA but to get pure local honey that might have to be the case, and I think honey is pretty safe unless you're a baby. Then I found a pretty bluebonnet mug. It didn't have Texas plastered on it, it was just a pretty cup with bluebonnets artfully drawn. There were various food stuffs, jams and jellies, mix kits for various Texas foods, although some said made in Nashville. There was a room dedicated to clothes and stuffed animals for children. And there was a room for soaps, lotions, etc. Some of the soaps were made local so I grabbed one of those. There was even a mass produced soap caddy that was cheaper than Amazon. I was very pleased with my visit and was successful in my mission for secret santa. The world needs more shops and shopkeepers like Jacaranda. read more

What a wonderful shop in old town Coppell! There are interesting and lovely items of all types for babies, kids, men and women. There are many fun and pretty items to browse through. It is so nice to have a conveniently located gift shop for the Coppell area. It's locally-owned and operated with several items offered by local food vendors and artisans. Try the Texas Petite Pies (delicious!) or the Bacon Jam (!!). Lots of nicely -priced bath salts too. I'll be back!! read more

If you are looking for a place with amazing customer service and an item of great quality, this is the place to go. I recently found out about this shop and have already placed 5 orders of plush animals. I feared that I would have to be creative when coming up with designs but the owner accepted that challenge and exceeded my expectations. She is truly someone that goes above and beyond and searched for months to ensure I got what I needed as it wasn't originally in stock. Horrible experience with Sarah attempting to have a quilt made. Sloppy layouts, countless miscommunications, and pressure to approve designs so that she could get other people's work done. DO NOT RECOMMEND. If you want heartless work on a demanding time frame this is your place. I would give zero stars if I could. A delightfully quaint and beautiful gift store right in the heart of old town Coppell. Many treasures to be found and unique gifts for everyone. I love to buy from small businesses instead of the big department stores with their foreign imports. There are beautiful journals, pens, kitchenware, clothing, baby clothes, plus loads more and their home brand poured candles smell wonderful and are well priced. I always chose to shop local as I don't like Shopping Malls. Sarah the owner is very friendly, and helpful and her shop is definitely worth a visit.
